  1. This made the rounds this week:

    Dear Saints,

God bless you richly in the name of our risen Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

This morning we received a prayer request for Chris Geer from Barbara,

his daughters, Becca and Abigail and Cathy, Renate and Cara, the staff

at Word Promotions, Ltd. to ask that we and others join them in

    praying for Chris.

While presenting the Walking in God's Power advanced class material on

"The Two Kingdoms" he became very seriously ill and has been

hospitalized. He is being cared for at Maine Medical Center in

    Portland, Maine.

He asks that that there not be any flowers sent as there are allergy issues.

At 1:00 p.m. today, (PST) the saints of Bayside Fellowship began an

ongoing 24 Hours of Prayer, a consistent, concerted effort on the part

of all involved to seek God’s help for the specific need at hand. You

are invited and encouraged to join in prayer for our brother in that

way as well as in your personal prayer life. As we are spread out and

have differing schedules, the prayer can be ongoing at multiple

locations. I also ask each of the fellowship coordinators to dedicate

the fellowship meeting times this week to a time of prayer together.

    Love and regards,

  2. OK, so yesterday I saw the dermatologist and he said that since I've been clean so far I don't have to see him for another year, instead of six months. I'm still waiting for the blood test and x-ray results but I don't expect any surprises. I'm glad that I get to bring this thread up one last time with good news before this place closes.

  3. This was a post I was looking for from Sept. of 2002.

"This morning we got a black and white short haired kitten. He's sleeping while I'm typing this.

Right now we're feeding him "Eukanuba" which is what he got at the pet store.

We haven't decided on a name yet. We're thinking of naming him "Bob" after a friend of ours' who's allergic to cats !"

Bob the Cat is 8 1/2 years old now. No mice have gotten into the house so he chases bats that have gotten in instead. I guess instead of a "mouser" he's a "batter."

  4. Okay, I'm wanting to look over my old posts and it will only go back one year. How do I go back to the beginning of this edition, which I thought was 2002 ? There's some memories I want to print out.

  5. Wow, I'm going to miss this place. I'm going to have to go through my posts and print out some since my life has ended up on these pages at different points. It's been a lot of fun getting to know you people.

  6. Soul Searcher, I've got those two. My copy of "Crawling Eye" starts with the title screen of "The Trollenberg Terror", it's European title. I have "Devil's Messenger" on one of those "50 Movie" packs. I hadn't checked it out yet but I'll make a point to bump it to the top of my watch list.

  7. It's October, thought I'd bump this up. Tomorrow my friends and I are watching the original "Frankenstein" with Boris Karloff. We plan to go through the whole series, ending with "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein", throwing "Young Frankenstein" in there as well.

  8. Belle, I'll be praying for your friend. I have a friend in our church who's being treated for breast cancer. She went through chemo and it really freaked me to see her looking as pale as my brother in law looked right before he died. She's done with the chemo and is clear but she's just started going through radiation to be totally safe.

I feel the good thing when I bring this topic up is that it's giving people a chance to talk who are dealing with this either themselves or with friends.
