I'm so glad you like them! We vacationed in Oregon for the first time this May, and we can't wait to go back...it was breathtakingly beautiful. Did you grow up in Oregon?

AJ that's you? I thought you were too old to be with this group...I think this was our second year so the kids here would have been 5-6.

I'm pretty sure this was taken our first year ('84-'85), which would have made this group age 4 to 5. Are you younger or older than your brother? There were so many kids...200, I believe, so I remember some of these kids but not all. Our son is smack dab in the middle of the front row.

I almost didn't recognize this room without the long tables crammed together. When we were there you could barely get by...I seem to remember they said 200 kids and 200 adults were crammed in there everyday for meals. On the far left...that's the doors to the "scullery".

After we came back from either LEAD or lightbearers, the couple that watched our son while we were gone told us that he had climbed this fence and fell, nearly impaling himself. He had a mark about an inch from his navel where the metal poked him. Whew, whew, whew...close call.

I mowed this area when I worked grounds the last block and I remember how the ground underneath would practically roll because of the underground springs. Lots of tiny frogs around here for the kids to play with. -
Omg Krys, he's adorable! My favorite is the Superman by the door...he really has that pose down pat!
