  1. I think you answered your own question by what you saw. They never had a position statement , but those that could "handle it" any thing was fine ---"happy is the man in the thing that he alloweth" you just weren't supposed to be a stumbling block---whatever they meant by that-- who knows.

  2. Sounds like leaving was pretty devastating,

maybe so much so it froze your heart because it hurt so much...we lost a lot when we found out how corrupt it was. It hurt me like crazy.

I couldn't really find anyone to talk to 'cept here. Even hubby and I went through things at different times.

All that said, I am not a business advisor, but have owned business. In the past ours always led back the idea we weren't really happy doing whatever it was. Ended up getting it organized and contacted a broker who sold it for us. I can tell you more if you want...let me know--

I know that God does give a poop and it sounds like you are intent are figuring all this out...so your solution is right around the bend.

  3. I think that its ridiculous...however I see the touchy feely logic

If you have excessive emotional parent at siad game ...allowing this over the top jerk to express himself may cause him to walk out and slug the ref, the coach the whoever...and didn't some kid get attacked in Florida?

But in Pro-games ---no way Booing is part of it

  4. Don't get me wrong, I would not have gone back to college and now attempt a hard Master's degree while pushing 50 if I thought attitude wasn't important...

I think mental standards are extremely important and essential. I just think all the talk about choice and positiveness is lost on much of the world's population. So why is this so effective for the affluent western minority where we have running water and indoor toilets, but no one is sending "The Secret" or any of these other "truths" to Angola or Dafur....dont they know that its all about the law of attraction. please gag me.

  5. This is all well and good for those who have a the faculties to think clearly about it...with the luxury of living past survival, but this really gets my goat that the affluent of the world can stay on this high horse of self righteous thinking while the majority of the world can't get past starvation, AIDS and malaria etc.

Im sorry. I cannot agree with the concept that all those people never tried to search for wisdom...while they were too busy searching for their next meal...

I will stay off this thread I guess, because to me -- just the luxury to choose is an affluent western cultural premise not possible in many parts of the world.

For me, if it has any ring of real truth, it has to fit globally which hardly any do.

  6. It seems to still load up the misfortunate with guilt and shame ---because they don't live by "the law of attraction"

Did these guys in Irag coming back attract all the injuries...?

    Do we attract cancer?

Does a Mom and Dad attract a son or daughter born with Autism?

    I dont think so....

It simplifies life a little to much for me.

  7. They are great people. They even brought back daughter from Zambia. The met at a bible felolwship on their lunch hour in Chicago -- pre-Zambian days. A little old to start a family they adopted in Zambia. They are not your usual lawyers! Thanks guys.

  8. one thing about paying every 2 weeks...one time I tried sending half the payment in every 2 weeks, but I hadn't enrolled in their Countrywide program..I ended up being fowled up in my payment because they apply what they thought was extra to pricipal, but I was overdue on Int, Tax, Ins. I called, we straightened it out and all was fine, but if one chooses to pay every 2 weeks, one must enroll or do whatever the financing outfit wants them to do. or things can get sticky.

another thing, your credit score is higher is you carry under 80% of your Limit. My Credit Union Finance officer told me that.

  9. Funny - My Aural Rehabilitation teacher handed us this list "y english is difficult" same exact sentences. We are looking at it in light of the hard of hearing client not able to distinguish sound-symbol relationships.

Its a pain for some of us--imagine a person growing up almost deaf trying to learn how to say it when reading it.

  10. Our favorite steak place get their meat fresh from Amarillo stock yards same day. The grill at 700 degrees, then spray Sweet Vermouth over the steak as it cools to let juices distribute. I try to imitate, but generally home grills never get up to 700.

  11. They are attorneys that came back from Zambia last summer after stetting up a foundation for orhpans and widows who had their land and property stolen from to get it back. They are wonderful people and now they're living on their savings while looking for work. They want to stay at the federal level, but are good at being flexible.

    Thanks in advance.

  12. Mark - you may not give a rip and that's fine, but your assumption that its okay to be a jerk under the umbrella of being some kind of righteous catholic is not fair to the catholics who actually live what as they do care. All it seems you can do is cut and paste this stuff any how, not too many original thoughts...like do you really think brow beating is the way to lead a man(or woman) to repentence?
