  1. Mchud, he has been talked to by a poster here and according to them, he didn`t seem to believe he had done anything wrong.

According to all reports, the man is a certifiable lunatic. Pathetically insane. What good are answers going to do coming from such a sad sick individual. You KNOW that according to twi dogma, he is blameless, that he sjouldn`t condemn himself, that Satan just targeted him becuase he wanted to stop the movement of God`s word.

I have talked with people that were targeted by him. I have read how they were groomed to service him, and read of the harrowing results when they refused to participate in his little threesomes.

He like his father in the word before him set out to visciously and utterly destroy any whom did not comply with their orders to be sexually serviced.

That behavior above all others shows me the utter callousness and visciousness of these men`s souls, to want to completely destroy a person, to alienate all friends, family and have them completely cut of from the ministry....

What kind of satisfactory answer can you possibly get from such a man?

Great question, here is my answer, by way of regressing.

I wrote Bo R., the ex-trunk leader, some years ago. He has come out and said that he has "repented", well, that is my perception. Anyway, I wrote ol Bo a letter, pointed out what I had heard, he wrote back and said that he had repented and that he repented on a tape, a recorded tape and did I want a copy? I wrote back and said, yes, and here is my address. No surprise on where this is going, the tape did not come. I gave him an opportunity to "EARN' my respect, just like in TWI days, my life was all about "earning the respect of others in TWI", so Bo. R., you are in my opinion a liar, you did not send the tape, and there are no excuses.

So, the satisfactory answer is "Yes, I Craig Loy Martindale sexually assaulted woman/women at TWI HQ, I regret it and I am endeavoring to live my life to repay those who I harmed as a leader in TWI and society in general for my failings as a responsible human being" A pipe dream on my part, probably.

Yet is is a possibility? Yes, human beings have the capacity to change, repayment may not be possible, that I would agree about. I would applaud knowing LCM has rejoined the human race. Its not like I spend my life looking for LCM or am planning that, I respond to posting on GSC, express my feelings. To me, the subject is mind set, my mind is set on living a life that makes up for the time I lost to TWI, which includes the approach, or attitude, that LCM owes me something more than his own life..its not my problem if he has no mental capacity to handle it, agree with it, clear the hurdle...it more like what goes around, comes around, or is it comes around goes around...if LCM dished it out, certainly he is able to take it, or is he merely still playing a game.

Here, let me be blunt. Doctor said, if you get a divorce, "I would rather see you dead". Ok, fine, freedom of religion, the first ammendment, untouchable......so I say, Craig Loy Martindale do ME a favor and end your life, end it.

  2. are there questions, relevent questions, that he could answer without fear of being thrown in court?

Absolutely. As you recall, legal things, legal matter have statutes of limitations, except, I believe murder, and there probably are a few others. Outside of a statute of limitations, it all good. You steal a ten million dollar Picasso from a museum, after the statute of limitations is over, you write a book about it...thats our legal system..good, bad or indifferent...that is the way it is.

  3. Just my opinion

I think if he really wanted to address the issue, he would have come here and done so long ago.

Yep, I agree. My opinion, is that Craig Loy Martindale is a coward. Craig, here is my email: michael.chudzinski@yahoo.com

I have an identity, those who assumed leadership roles in TWI, and acted in opposition to common sense, our legal system, misused their authority, took the priviledges and not the responsibilities of their postion, well where are they...to me, they appear to be hiding, if I shine a light, thats not illegal, its merely an approach, if they hide, I do hope they get better hiding places, I mean them no physical harm, I mean only to know what they have to say about their actions while in TWI.

I once stood up to a bully. And he came after me. He was in a big car and failed to slow down while I was in a cross walk and I fliipped him off, he started to tell me how he was going to hurt me physically, I called the police and told him so...He vanished. That sort of thing is rarely considered "smart" by folks, and that is fine. The last time I looked, "being smart" isn't in any law, ordinance, statute, "smart" is a perception, in my opinion. oh, flipping someone off, is legal, almost everywhere, there are some local ordinances that can fine you for using vulgar language...just a footnote...

  4. mchud, it's unlikely that these people would have LCM's phone number, since he was booted from twi several years ago. Even more unlikely, if you got his phone number, would be his willingness to tell you about the sexual activities that got him hauled into court and dethroned.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Well, my point is this. I can ask anything. Whether I get an answer is not relevant. FCC requirements are that when you make a telephone call, you identify yourself and the purpose of your call within like 30 seconds, I believe I am accurate on this. As long as I do that, I am fine, legally, in my opinion.

A single telephone call can be considered criminal harrassment, however, in practice, three is the threshold, depends on the content of the call. My calling Loy Craig Martindale on the telephone is not illegal per se, he may perceive "receiving a call from me" to be harassment, and he certainly can sue me, call the police, whatever he deems appropriate....in other words, civil disobedience has "grey areas", and a single call, asking a single question is, in my opinion, both legal and appropriate. His feelings, are secondary to my question. Let LCM sue me, please, and what are the damages? See. What are the damages for asking someone if they have sexually assaulted someone, as in sexual assault while being a "leader in Christianity"...see? Let LCM prove damages in a court of law.

Confrontation, is getting at the truth of a matter, nothing more...I want to know what his answer is, if that is perceived by anyone as harassing or stupid, fine...no problem, to me, its criticism that falls off my back like water...

So, I do appreciate your post and I do not intend by writing this to sound like you are criticizing me, anything like that...I read your posts and I am glad you are here. My desire to ask the question is my thing, I am not recommending it, per se, to anyone, its merely my thing, my goal, and certainly not for everyone...my approach....thanks for your post..... regards, Michael

  5. I don't drink beer too much anymore ..I like wine but when I do have an occasional nip of the hops and barley elixir I try to drink Belgium Ale. My two favorite are:

Ommegang Ale : Brewed in Cooperstown, NY by Brew masters from Belgium. They actually cork the bottles like wine because of the added cherry lambic base.

    http://www.ommegang.com/index.php?mcat=1&scat=2&yr=1

    Another is Grimbergen Double Ale.

Grimbergen Beer is a piece of Belgium’s history and yet remains part of it’s culture today. With 800 years of Brewing tradition, it uses time-honored skills of craftsmanship to produce a selection of quality beers for your enjoyment. There are three styles of this popular Abbey beer. Blonde, Double and Triple. The beer was once brewed by monks but was sold under license to a brewery who kept the style alive. Double has undergone two fermentations, which gives this ale a chocolaty, toffee taste with a warming brandy-like finish. YUM !!

Er, just a question, is this the sweet style of beer? I haven't tried too many Belgian beers as they can be very, very sweet..and sweet doesn't go with spicy type foods, like Thai...I do tend to pass by beers with Monks on them, due to the sweetness....which ones of your list are drier? Inquiring minds want to know...thanks

  6. mchud, are you sure you typed the address in correctly? I don't think they would do something like that on purpose. It's possible there was a typo. Angela's website is listed under their picture, too. You could contact her through that website.

Yes, most newspapers sell every picture they publish.

401Ks were not verboten when I was in TWI. craiggers did rant about people playing the stock market, but they did say that it was okay to invest in companies that you, personally, like and believe in. At least, moneyhands did. I was never told NOT to invest in my 401K. I do realize that things were different earlier on in TWI.

The article does state that they often give more than 10% to TWI and I suspect they actually give a MINIMUM of 15% per the standard of the day when I left.

You are correct. I did a copy and paste, there is a space between the address and the @yahoo.com. Thanks, the devil is in the details, I corrected the address, resent it...I will correct my postings....thanks, thank you, Belle..

  7. :) oilfield, how are you? I'm not sure if I can elaborate on this one, but my mind first went to parenting. "Cuz I'm the mom" kinda thing. It doesn't usually work but it makes the grown up sound so grown up doesn't it?

Maybe it's like the stuff we ask them such as "do you want a spanking?" Ummm, yeah, can I have three, the kid might let fall out.

Or asking a 3 year old 'how many times have I told you to quit poking your sister in the eye with the screwdriver'. Even the parent asking that has no idea how many times. Once was plenty past enough times, if ya ask me, but it's a stupid question regardless.

Why are some warnings on products? We're told not to use a curling iron internally. I assume it's because some fool did and sued the company for the excessive damage to their unmentionables, so now they have to cover their own.

And the White House has to use corded phones for security reasons, yes. Baby monitors and such can't pick up the convo on a corded one, for example. And if there is a power outage, the corded one is still gonna work, too. Not to mention it doesn't have to be charged when the damn charger is no where to be found.

I'm curious about so many things, as well. Why are hotdog buns in packages of 10 and the hotdogs are in packages of 8.

    www.shellonnorth.com

One part of your post, about warnings, is liability issues, sort of the gravy train for some Attorneys. Without a warning label, maybe you figure your curling iron is supposed to be used as a device to warm your bath water...you know, "this device is to be used as an iron to curl your hair, it is not intended for anyother purpose....."

  8. Gary Martin's email address has a space between the email and the @yahoo.com, you will need to correct that or you will get a delivery failure notice. I suggest, everyone, everyone, leave a RESPECTFUL VOICE MAIL ON THE AUTHORS TELEPHONE NUMBER..

I already did. LETS FILL HER VOICEMAIL...as long as you are not ranting, or threatening, you are within your rights...go for it...it does make a difference.......Lorraine Ash can be reached at (973) 428-6660 or lvash (space added so Ms. Ash doesn't get bot emails) @gannett.com.

Journalists, are responsible for doing their homework, Lorraine is I am sure a well meaning person. Civil Disobedience is not what calling her is about, call her, I suggest, to EDUCATE HER...she doesn't appear to know anything. And do leave your phone number, its the right thing to do in my opinion, we are anomymous here on GSC, but if you go the extra mile and call her, its you calling, not GSC. In call calling Ms. Ash its ASSERTIVENESS, you are stating your opinion, or your feelings, or your experience, all LEGAL things...and it matters...it all matters...

Lorraine Ash can be reached at (973) 428-6660 or lvash (space added so Ms. Ash doesn't get bot emails) @gannett.com.

  9. The only email address I saw on the page with the article is for the reporter who wrote the story.

And newspaper websites typically want people to consider buying photos.

There are some emails on the right, below the photo.....

  10. Gary's email is on there and I wrote him a letter, a respectful letter, and asked him for LCM's telephone number. And I did, do the right thing, gave him my address and phone number, after all, I do sincerely want to ask LCM if he sexually assaulted women at TWI HQ.

The part that gave me a chuckle was the button over the top of the photo, that says "buy this photo"...ok, ah..

    Edit----

There is a space between Garry Martin's email address and the @yahoo.com, you need to correct this, in sending a letter, or it comes back as a delivery failure.........

  11. Gary Martin and his wife, Angela (Capillary) Martin are WC and have made the news.

    <snip>

In economies good and bad, living a debt-free life is a matter of religion for Gary and Angela Martin of Lincoln Park. The thirtysomething couple, who live in an apartment, are ministers of The Way International, an Ohio-based worldwide nondenominational ministry that focuses on knowing the Bible inside out and living its messages.

Romans 13:8 plainly lays out the part about debts, Gary said: "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another."

The Way teaches three basic principles from the Bible regarding financial prosperity and debt-free living: Tithe 10 percent of your income, live within your means, and work heartily as unto the Lord. The couple goes by these basics and often tithes more than 10 percent, lives below their means and works very hard.

In addition to running home Bible fellowships two times a week, she uses her secular degree in medical ethics to run her business, HeadStrong Life Coaching, and he uses his two secular degrees in accounting and information systems to work full-time in the IT field. They own their cars, rent their home, have a six-month money reserve in the bank, contribute to 401ks, shop off-season, discuss major purchases and find the best for less. Consequently, they enjoy the peace that comes from living outside the loop of desire and acquisition and the financial distress it creates.

    <end snip>

There's more and a picture of Gary and Angela.

Thanks for the post. I sort of read the big part, the page with all the words on it, will re-read it. I wonder if they are talking about Lincoln Park, in Chicago...or Lincoln Park in Ohio, am going back for more details..and I guess I will need to write to the email at the bottom, not to trash the individuals, just to refer them to GSC for more pertinent info.

  12. Just playing with Vista 7 for a little while and it seems good. But I'm totally satisfied with XP pro and won't switch until I can't get programs and drivers that will work with it.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, time for an Intel joke in rebuttal.

Two Intel Pentium engineers walk into a bar and order beers. The bartender says "that will be two-fifty each". One of the engineers slaps a five on the bar and says "keep the change".

Good one Jim, keep the change.......after reading that I realized my joke telling needs some work....my punch line wasn't correct...

the punch line is "None, they merely change the industry standard from light to darkness"

  13. I thought it would be fun to post questions about little things we wonder about as we comer across them in our daily life. They can be serious or silly. Maybe this will go somewhere and maybe it won't. Feel free to post your own questions or answers. The answers can also be serious or silly, but if you know for a fact the answer, it would be sweet to be told such an answer.

My first question is about the Oval office at the Whitehouse,, but is NOT meant to be a political inquiry, and by no means is meant to set a focus for the thread.

In looking at pictures of President Obama's first day in office I was struck by the pictures of him on the phone. Both phones I saw in use in the Oval office pictures were CORDED phones. You know, the ones with that twisty, always-getting-tangled, pain in the neck, possible hazard to young children, type cord. I haven't used one of those in ages.

Is this a security thing to prevent over the air broadcast of conversations? Is it just an overlooked yet-to-be-updated technology thing? It just surprised me, and I wondered about it. that's all, not exactly a life issue, but sometimes we just have to ask.

Maybe Rumrunner can tell us, or whoever it was whose daughter worked in the Whitehouse?

    ~HAP

I think its a security thing. I think the best over the counter scrambling system is still spread spectrum, but even with that, there is enough technology out there to decode a call, if ya got the right tools and conditions. I heard some time ago that the red phone, the one to the russia is a basic phone..so, ya, I am thinking security...and I have been around the scrambling phones, still corded models and those around, expensive...while working at Siemens....

  14. I'm still trying to figure out why anyone needed a colon cleanse when flax seeds were in everything we ate.

Waysider, now you know unless you chew those seeds up, you are only doing a partial cleanse...maybe the point was that, well, "perfectionism". That would appear to fit, goes along with all the bible quotes, the over the top and the beyond the top environment. I think with consideration to my life, oh, say, I did something maybe I shouldn't have in my past marriage, well, there were some other things that I did to "compensate" for those, rather than deal with the root issue...and maybe TWI was in that same category, overcompensating in areas for the moldy, rotting roots of the Tree so to speak...any thoughts on that?

  15. the "standard treatment" involves a LITTLE (gasp) MONEY..

chemicals.. designed to crush the life out of the said lice, and their eggs..

I am hoping the nightmares do not come back, with GSC, I am thinking maybe I have a 50 / 50 chance. This kerosene shower, kind of surprised me, I must not be there yet, with the surprises, here the lack of some common sense with VPW. I suppose those who would tell us that we were not victims would say, well the Corp did have a choice, there was a nice warm floor to sleep on.. Well, I do respect individuals like rumrunner, I am not so sure I would have been able to deal with this kind of discomfort, being more of a girlyman as Arnold S. would say...

  16. OK - any of you 8th remember the freakin' kerosene showers we took after the lice outbreak? Pouring kerosene on our hair and leaving our mattresses and bed stuff out in the cold over night because TWI refused to go with the standard treatment?

Come one folks - bring those memories back for us - smirk -

I have a feeling, you ain't making this up. The standard treatment I take it was what, standing outside naked in the winter til they froze to death and fell off, or are we talking about some kind of powder solution?

  17. Pretty much all of them.

I wanted to be a scientist, but didn't stay in school long enough. My daughter has fulfilled that dream for me, she is going to graduate this spring with a BS in botany and go on to grad school. I've managed to become a pretty good engineer/inventor and built a small company around my products. I dreamed of creating things and getting them patented, and I have 2 patents. They are way overrated, btw. I dreamed of flying and having an airplane and I have that. I dreamed of having my own machine shop where I could build anything I want and I have that.

The things of more value that I have and didn't dream for are a good wife, a good child and a couple of good dogs, in that order.

all great things, in my opinion. How would you describe inventing, what comes to mind is in-o-vation (spell checker please), to me, more than designing something so unthought of by others. My worst class in paralegal studies was patents, it had so, so many details. So, I am hearing you have two out there, how long did you develop the ideas, and how long did your implementation/protypes, application of the idea take before you applied for the patent(s)? And last, maybe I am on the wrong track with this, folks write all sorts of books on left brain this and right brain that, was the process of your ideas more on the creative side or more on the analytical side, or some of both, or was it you solving a problem that you saw, like you said, oh, I think that could be done a different way or what?

  18. While reading the "I have been spoiled by beer" thread. I sort of remembered something silly I saw in a local store here in Hardin County.

I am in Iowa, not a born and bred Iowan, or is that Iowian, anyway, farm country, here in Hardin County, corn, soy beans, and more corn.

There is a local tree, that produces these large green, nubby sort of green balls, I do not know the name of them, but they are hard, nubby, and the locals tell me they are good for putting in the basement because spiders and bugs don't like them.

So, I do into the local Hi V, the name of the market has been changed to protect the innocent...They have this shopping cart, full of these pods with a hand written sign "incest repellent". Being a trouble maker, I found the produce manager and asked him if he meant something else...blush response, of course, new sign..

  19. Thanks, rumrunner for your reply. My father, has been brewing for some years, has a refrigerator just for I believe the finished product, a keg, and it stays good for some period of time. Last time I visited him, I tried a glass with him and I was very, very pleasantly surprised on the taste. So, I have thought about jumping in and seeing if I can follow instructions and give it a go, thanks for the reference....its off to piratebay - lol But seriously, I appreciate hearing about the history and background of brewing.

  20. Hey GSG - is it true you have a thriving business making acid, meth and DMT?

That would be thriving distribution channels and successful marketing campaigns , I think, rumrunner, which would cause the business to thrive.

George, what kind of chemists are there in the real world? I am thinking chemistry is involved in all sorts of types of business. Are you in the organic side of things, or the inorganic side of things or processes, materials, testing, anything like that?

  21. I think The Way should be considered at least partly responsible for some of the decisions we made, such as the decision to go WOW or Corps etc. They did, after all, provide the information that helped people, in part, to make those decisions. That information was not always forthcoming with the real facts, deceptive, in other words. For example, I went into Fellow Laborers because the program was promoted as a way to study The Book of Acts, in depth, for two years, and then return to our home areas as more capable leaders. It never happened. The academic aspect of Fellow Laborers was abysmal. That has always been one of my biggest disappointments with the program. Yes, it was my decision to go into the program but I based that decision on flawed information they provided.

And with FLO there was "an application". And weren't the folks, who approves those applications, supposed to be walking by the spirit of God, er walking and a talking with the most high.....or was there just some rubber stamp involved because we applied. And double ditto for the same with WOW, folks a walking and a talking with the most high, in putting families together. Maybe, we need someone who was involved in making the kind of decisions like these to give us some perspective...EARL B. what do you have to say?

  22. Well those fruit flavors come from a couple of sources depending on how authentic the brew is. A lot of breweries use fruit essence (perfectly safe and organic) to add the flavor since it means less filtering when bottling up for secondary fermentation. It also allows them to use flavors that are non-traditional.

The origin, or at least where it became common, of the fruit beers/ales was Bavaria. In Germany there is a definite concept of seasonal beverages. Summer is for pilseners or lagers, late fall through early spring is for heavier ales. It was/is common to make a winter ale that actually had cherries or apples in it during primary fermentation. This is then filtered carefully before bottling but the essence of the fruit (chemicals called esters) are in the beer and leave that slightly fruity smell. In beer made this way the smell of the fruit is stronger than the taste...really nice.

I have a question, rumrunner, when you are making beer, how important is/are "hops"? There are all these references to hops in the sam adams commercials. My comment to waysider about Corona, is more about hops than anything else, I was told Corona beer has no hops and is actually made from corn syrup...anyway, do you buy hops, processed hops in pellets, or freeze-dried hops? And lets say, I wanted to grow hops out in my garden, do able, not do able?
