  1. Ruthie is only 6 years older than I. I always thought that she was so pretty and she always seemed so very nice. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family.

What wonderful memories so many of you have of a person gone too soon.

Take care and may all of you find comfort in one another.

Thank God for this site so that you are all able to share with one another.

  4. I see them every once in awhile. They are living in a house of thei own and have their own phone number. I am sure that they would talk to you if you gave them a call. I do not want to post numbers here but you could get through information. It is not unlisted.

Lucy has quite a bit of family around here also.

  5. They are all in my prayers. My brother is stationed in south korea right now and so misses his wife and children. He was supposed to get back to the states last month but it has been extended to october. I still think that in order to boost moral that our government should pay at least half price and send the spouse over to see them.

My sister in law went over for a couple weeks and the ticket alone cost her over one thousand bucks.

  6. I would love for everyone to get what they want for mothers day however "small" of a gift that it is.

However I wish that all of these "special " days or holidays would not be so commercialized. It would be wonderful if everyone did something special just on awhim and not just on a certain day.

How wonderful it feels to get a gift or surprise "just because".

We do not do anything special for birthdays and it does not bother me a bit. I however am thrilled when on a whim I come home from work and someone else has made supper or cleaned the dishes that were in the sink when I left for work. These "little" things mean a lot mor to me than a happy moms day card or flowers.

However I still get my mom something but I try to make it something that will last awhile or something that she truly needs.

  7. vickles, perhaps therapy would be a wonderful idea for the whole family. Prayer is wonderful and I am sure that all of the prayers here have helped but maybe you are still in need of a little boost from some "professionals".

Hang in there. Life can sure throw you some curve balls once in awhile. nknative

  8. Just a little side note here. My father in law has has breast cancer twice. He has both sides removed.

It has been since sometime in the late 70's and early 80's. He went to ohio state hospital and so did my mother in law when she has cancer and so did I when I had my cancer.

    Take care. nknative

  10. First of all take of your self and go see the doc. Let them know that you have no insurance. It is amazing how much less the docs usually charge you. Tell the doc not the receptionist.

Do not worry ajbout pre-excisting because you need to take of this as soon as possible. The sooner you do the better your prognosis.

    Take care. nknative

  11. You and your sister and her family are all in my prayers. I hope that she has a lot of support from family and friends.

There are many survivors that have had breast cancer in even more nodes than your sister. Tell her to try and be upbeat and to accept all of the help that anyone offers. nknative

  12. What wonderful news! It is always nice to get good news here on the liftlist.

I have been cancer free for over 19 years and it is wonderful. There is a 90 year old lady here in town who has prayed for me everyday since I was first diagnosed. I did not know this untill a few months ago. I brought her some flowers the other day. It is so little for what she has done but it meant a lot to ther.

    Prayer does work.

Vickles, hang in there. You too will get good news as time goes on.

  13. If her doc will not do it tell her to keep looking until she finds one who will.

I had a hystercetomy only after seeing 4 different docs. I knew that there was something wrong but none of them ever got to the root of the problem. This went on for several years. (lost a job over it -missed too much work)

I felt so great in post-op that I would not shut up. I went home in less than 48 hours and I had had my surgery the old fashoned way (cut open).

She will be in my prayers. nknative
