How can love be manifest via written dialogue?

Recommended Posts

I am not speaking metaphorically or poetically here, either...but literally

Do we literally touch each other's hearts via what we read and write?

Does some actual aspect of our original intentions actually move through these avenues of light and electricity,

and then enter our soul through our eyes and thoughts,

then finally coming to actually touch the heart and soul of each other?

If so...how often do we take this sacred and naked act of communion for granted?

And if so...is it possible to pollute each other?

Do each and every one of our words continue to live and have a kind of life of their own once they leave our heart and mind and body?

If so...are we responsible for them?

God first

Beloved Todd

God loves you my dear friend

Yes I believe we are responsible for what we write or say

Many people here have lifted me up and I am blessed to be here

I have phase things wrong as we all have here and at times it sadden my heart doing it until I know the other person was ok

So yes words can travel these wires right to my heart but I can not talk for others

thank you

with love and a holy kiss blowing your way Roy

Sirguessalot,

Yes.

And the last three phrases are the worst.

What goes around comes around.

Thank God for His Mercy and Grace and His Fire.

~A Poem of God's Grace~

> I did not know His love before,

> the way I know it now.

> I could not see my need for Him,

> my pride would not allow.

> I had it all, without a care,

> the "Self-sufficient" lie.

> My path was smooth, my sea was still,

> not a cloud was in my sky.

> I thought I knew His love for me,

> I thought I'd seen His grace,

> I thought I did not need to grow,

> I thought I'd found my place.

> But then the way grew rough and dark,

> the storm clouds quickly rolled;

> The waves began to rock my ship,

> I found I had no hold.

> The ship that I had built myself

> was made of foolish pride.

> It fell apart and left me bare,

> with nowhere else to hide

> I had no strength or faith to face

> the trials that lay ahead,

> And so I simply spoke His name

> and bowed my weary head.

> His loving arms enveloped me,

> and then He helped me stand.

> He said, "You still must face this storm,

> but I will hold your hand."

> So through the dark and lonely night

> He guided me through pain.

> I could not see the light of day

> or when I'd smile again.

> Yet through the pain and endless tears,

> my faith began to grow.

> I could not see it at the time,

> but my light began to glow.

> I saw God's love in brand new light,

> His grace and mercy, too.

> For only when all self was gone could

> Jesus Christ's love shine through.

> It was not easy in the storm,

> I sometimes wondered why.

> At times I thought, "I can't go on."

> I'd hurt, and doubt, and cry.

> But Jesus never left my side

> He guided me each day.

> Through pain and strife,

> through fire and flood,

> He helped me all the way.

> And now I see as ne'er before

> how great His love can be

> How in my weakness He is strong,

> how Jesus cares for me!

> He worked it all out for my good,

God first

Beloved Todd and friends

God loves us all my dear friends

How can love be manifest via dialogue?

Todd I changed the question a little for this reply

A smile can show love

A kiss can show love

A peacful or loving tone in a voice shows love

music can show love

all these and more show love

but back to the question that was first

How can love be manifest via written dialogue?

The way words are wrote in patters

The ways words are placed

the picture the words bring to the person mind

just to name a few

thank you

with love and a holy kiss blowing your way Roy

I am not speaking metaphorically or poetically here, either...but literally

Do we literally touch each other's hearts via what we read and write?

[sometimes. You remember that verse about Mary and how she hid in her heart some things about Jesus? It's sort of like that to me. There are some posts/posters who are in that sweet spot. Some other posters are about three feet lower.]

Does some actual aspect of our original intentions actually move through these avenues of light and electricity, and then enter our soul through our eyes and thoughts, then finally coming to actually touch the heart and soul of each other?

[Communication takes energy. Understanding takes energy. There is an exchange, in some form of that, via this board. So, yes, I think your statement is correct. It's probably a lot deeper than I would have considered it but how else can you explain so many people, from different backgrounds, living all over the world, connecting and interacting like we do because of the common thread called TWI? Likewise, how do you explain all the couples who have started out by meeting on this board (and Waydale)? ]

If so...how often do we take this sacred and naked act of communion for granted?

[Like a good marriage going sour, sometimes familiarity breeds contempt. People become familiar, comfortable, and calloused. They forget their words can bind, hurt, and wound. They are more into the "kill" than to see they have inflicted pain on anyone.]

And if so...is it possible to pollute each other?

[Of course, if you allow it. If you adopt their motives, of couse you can take on others' illnesses, if you will. People are weak - I've found the ones who grow brass nuts once they sit down at a keyboard are usually the worst ones - woosies - in real life.]

Do each and every one of our words continue to live and have a kind of life of their own once they leave our heart and mind and body?

[Hard to say. I can say that words can be misinterpreted or twisted, taking on life as the speaker/writer never intended. Communicating in this medium isn't always easy. I try to write as I speak, but I have been told I am an 'animated' speaker - I use my hands to gesture a lot. Guess this comes from living close to Boston. So, since I can't wave around and point and whatnot, my usual means of communication is cut off. I'd like to think my motives represent me better than my words.]

If so...are we responsible for them? [Yes. And accontable.]

Wow Dancing....an apt description of my life currently.

Who wrote this poem?

~A Poem of God's Grace~

I did not know His love before,

the way I know it now.

I could not see my need for Him,

my pride would not allow.

I had it all, without a care,

the "Self-sufficient" lie.

My path was smooth, my sea was still,

not a cloud was in my sky.

I thought I knew His love for me,

I thought I'd seen His grace,

I thought I did not need to grow,

I thought I'd found my place.

But then the way grew rough and dark,

the storm clouds quickly rolled;

The waves began to rock my ship,

I found I had no hold.

The ship that I had built myself

was made of foolish pride.

It fell apart and left me bare,

with nowhere else to hide

I had no strength or faith to face

the trials that lay ahead,

And so I simply spoke His name

and bowed my weary head.

His loving arms enveloped me,

and then He helped me stand.

He said, "You still must face this storm,

but I will hold your hand."

So through the dark and lonely night

He guided me through pain.

I could not see the light of day

or when I'd smile again.

Yet through the pain and endless tears,

my faith began to grow.

I could not see it at the time,

but my light began to glow.

I saw God's love in brand new light,

His grace and mercy, too.

For only when all self was gone could

Jesus Christ's love shine through.

It was not easy in the storm,

I sometimes wondered why.

At times I thought, "I can't go on."

I'd hurt, and doubt, and cry.

But Jesus never left my side

He guided me each day.

Through pain and strife,

through fire and flood,

He helped me all the way.

And now I see as ne'er before

how great His love can be

How in my weakness He is strong,

how Jesus cares for me!

He worked it all out for my good,

although the way was rough.

He only sent what I could bear,

and then He said, "Enough!"

He raised His hand and said, "Be still!"

He made the storm clouds cease.

He opened up the gates of joy

and flooded me with peace.

I saw His face now clearer still,

I felt His presence strong,

I found anew His faithfulness,

He never did me wrong.

And now I know more storms will come,

but only for my good,

For pain and tears have helped me grow

as nothing ever could.

I still have so much more to learn

as Christ works in me;

If in the storm I'll love Him more,

that's where I want to be!
