when confronted by the town folk , about an adultress woman, did jesus really say

go and sin no more?

i think he said something more to the point

something along the line

when you point, be sure there are no ramifications

coming back to haunt you

the men in that town threw their stones to the ground, not at the woman they accused

they walk away in disgust, humiliated in their own accusation

they had relations with that woman, and wanted jesus to accusse and condemn

he didnt cower into that whim of mindless fancy

he put the truth where it needed to be

on the shoulder of the the ones who wanted blood

and they all walked away, dropping the stones of hatred as they left

not one stone of hatred was cast that day

each who walked away was guilty

of the same sin they pointed a finger at

and thats the truth

thats when jesus turned to her and said

where are those who accuse you

leave now (go) and sin no more

life's lessons are full

drink from that cup

and you won't thirst

sorry most of you were involved in a group called the way

i wasn't

and glad not to have been, after what i read

but that does not make me better, only thankful

that i was not part of the cult that ate away at your heart

and for that i feel for you, not out of experience, just human care

i cast no stones at you, please don't cast any at me
