  1. Actually now that I think of it, I was a "tape-aholic", and still have several hundred sunday services on tape.

I never listen to them anymore, and they date from early 1975 to around 1985 or so. It tires me to even think of going thru all of them, but if anyone wants them, give me an address, I'll box them up, and ship them your way.

    Happy Listening!!!!!

  2. oldiesman -- I agree. I never heard (from the pulpit) that twi was not a chrisian organisation.

I do remember referring to members as believers, but that I think, was used to distinguish US FROM THEM ie -- those who hadn't had the class.

But -- perhaps all this happened after I got out in 85 or so. I didn't keep up on twi for 15 or so years, and anything could have happened!!

  3. Ex-10 /// Amen to that !!!!! The juiciest stuff ever printed about TWI seems to be right here on this site. I would rather pour a hot coffee, (or a cold beer), and sit back looking at GSC than I would going to Barnes and Noble, spending money for something of dubious quality, when I know the REAL DEAL is right here. Plus -- what happened in the past is a sickening thing, and I am not sure I want to spend money to remind me of past atrocities.

  4. Marked and Avoided ----- Nope, Cfs was a great way to waste a week-end. VPW never told me anything my daddy didn't, and actually, my Dad was much more thorough in the biological explanation (he was a chemist, and loved long complicated explanations that were explicit to the most minute detail). The only classes I ever took from twi that I considered worthwhile, were Pfal 77, and Advanced class 79, and that is just because I saw friends I haven't seen for a while. The classes were ok, but the fellowship was better.

  5. Cool Waters ----- TY for your response!! Am still unsure how to access all these "commodities", but so what ! It will all come together sooner or later. I like it that I can at least type out a message to all of you-uns, whether or not, I can add the "frills". As of now, they are unimportant.

  6. Rocky ---- no I did not. I do NOT subsidize hollywood, or it's "stars", who in my opinion are a$$-holes, and pawns of the liberal media, that accomplish nothing more than leading you and I and the rest of America into a laid -back attitude that negates the true issues of life, and deals in trivialities instead.

The DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA is alive and well in your living room if you watch crap like that. TV is evil, and has no redeeming qualities.

If you can give me chapter and verse, and show me that these shows on TV promote the Word of God, then perhaps I will watch. But not until then.

  7. Goey ---- hopefully the skunk pelt is residing in a grave somewhere, and not on ANYONE'S shoulders. What happened in the past is soooooo reprehensible (sp?), that it should be buried, forgotten, and NEVER passed on to future generations. I realize that it has been passed on, but where it is now should be in a very deep, dark, hole where it will (hopefully) never ever see the light of day again.

The world has "survived" twi-1, twi-2, fog years, all of that, and I for one, wish that it will never surface again. By the Grace of God, this will be a reality.

  8. Cool Waters --- In answer to your question, I have a re-furbished iMac, G-3. Am new to puters, everything I know is learned from trial and error, thus my "fumbling" when it comes time to use things like these here smiley icons. I do well enough in chat rooms, but boards, and forums like these are a new experience.

  9. Hmmmmmm. We read of Elijah passing the mantle to Elisha. VPW passed the "mantle" to LCM. Elisha got (at his request) a double portion of that which had previously been allocated. The mantle VPW carried had a "stink" about it, so perhaps when it got passed to LCM, he also received a "double portion". And if it stunk, yep, could've come from a skunk.

  10. JT and Galen I was married by TWI clergy back in 75. The only recommandation at that time, was to take the Christian, Family, & Sex seminar. I guess as the years progressed, you had to be a bigger "grad". If TWI had kept going at that speed, guess you would have had to be clergy to even think of marriage.
