  1. The Way was so big on believing=receiving.

If we believe and confess the positive, what we believe and confess will surely come to pass. Likewise on the negative side. If we fear and confess the negative, what we fear and confess will surely come to pass. It's a law, and it works every time, for saint and sinner alike.

How I would respond to this now is, "BULL SH#T!!!" :realmad:

But while in TWI, I accepted this teaching as truth just like everything else VPW said. And of course after hearing that what I fear will be brought to pass in my life, I became terribly afraid.

I can remember fighting a particular category of sin in my life that I knew I was weak in and found myself falling into all the time, I would be terrified that something bad was going to happen to me, that I didn't have God's protection and that I would be afflicted by the adversary in some way whether it be a disease, financial disaster, car accident, etc. This was all due to the Grease Spot teaching: Don't leave the Way or else you won't have God's protection. If you have sin in your life, the Adversary's gonna get you.

Then because I was afraid of these things, believing that what I fear will come to pass, I found myself even more afraid. And it wasn't a fear that made my hands shake or anything, it was just a quiet terror on the inside. A quiet thought in the back of my head always there with that fear, knowing "I wasn't where I should be spiritually and somehow I would pay for it". After all, the Adversary always takes his pound of flesh, right?

I spent so much time worrying about how disaster would befall me because of my weaknesses and fears, I didn't have any real time for a peaceful relationship with God. The thief was stealing that from me because of my fears via false doctrine.

I feel almost embarrassed and foolish about it looking back. You'd think after years and years of a fear that never materializes would make you wake up. Yet you trust in and believe the teachings of your MOG even though reality around you is saying otherwise. Don't tell me people's words aren't powerful and that brainwashing isn't a reality.

I don't leave TWI with many scars, but the teaching that what you fear will come upon you scared me to death. I'm recovering now, but still struggle with it at times.

Did anyone else struggle with fear issues or am I just the Lone Loser?

    Lone Wolf McQuade

I did believe in all that crap while still in and still taking all their ....s and mind games until I had enough when they started to give me a lot of grief, like their BS confrontation crap, which is nothing more than psychological, spiritual abuse. To me, that was enough, I do not need that ..... So, I plotted my own escape without them knowing. I left on my own accord and not giving them the satisfaction to apply their BS on me. Even with the belief of becoming a Greasespot, I didn't give a flying F**K: I'd rather be a greasespot and live free rather than live under their law.

  2. thank, thank you to answer

    but,

for that you say that they sacrifice the young women, for the Martindale?

in Argentinean, I have not seen, neither listened that passed something similar ...

why, do you said ... bad? you were in the ministry?

do you know some other language that is not English?

    thank,

    Laura,

    Translation:

    Laura,

    Welcome to the forum.

It seems that many here don't speak Spanish (I apologize that my computer keyboard is for English that is why I don't have a certain letter and I cannot accentuate letters).

To answer your original question, TWI is NOT the Illuminati. To the contrary. TWI's founder was against the Illuminati and taught that the Illuminati is conspiring to conquer the world.

Many of the people in this forum were part of this cult (TWI). It is a tyrannical sect that wants to control the lifes of all its believers and followers. Besides being hypocritical. Those are reasons for which many here like myself got out, escaped or disassociated from that sect.

IMO (as well as the opinion of many here), TWI is a Vipers' Nest and I recommend you to be careful and think several times before you join them.

  3. Jesus Christ confronted the religious leaders of his day for their hypocritical nature.

What really woke me up to the realization that the way leadership was becoming more and more like the hypocrites JC talked about was a decision my wife and I made to join a boat club. We found that the people there were more loving forgiving that those we knew in the way.

When we made mistakes we were not lambasted, when we were down we were cared for and when we needed help they were more than willing to jump in.

While in twi if we made a mistake, leadership were quick to jump down our throats.

If we tried to point out a mistake that leadership made, there was a major meltdown.

When we had challenges we were told that we had to work them our ourselves and that they didn't want to get involved.

When leadership moved or needed to clean their houses for classes, we were all expected to be there to help. Yet if we moved they told us they had to study.

The leadership would make us drive hundreds of miles in the worst kind of weather to hear them teach something they believed was special and needed for us to stay ahead of the adversary's attacks. (I didn't know we so far behind).

Yet if we ever had special events we would receive not so much as a phone call from leadership.

    Hypocrites, what do you think?

    I think you're right.

    They are real hypocrites.

  4. What do I miss about TWI?

Let's see what I can remember of TWI:

    1) Waking up early every Sunday morning for fellowship.

    2) Making time for twig meetings as it is mandatory.

    3) Driving long distances for a class in the evening and arriving home late afterwards.

    4) Getting chew out for some asinine reason.

    5) Being told how to live my life.

Hmmm... Nope. I don't think so. I don't miss anything about TWI.

I've moved on to MUCH better things now that I've been out 10 years later. I am definitely not involved with an offshoot now and will never get involved.

I can fricking wake up any time I want on Sunday and I don't have to put up with crap from a bunch of self-righteous morons.

I am free and I live my life on my own terms.

  5. I have to admit that Jesus Christ may not like how I expressed myself toward LCM, TWI and its people who affected me.

All I can say is that I am human and I am sorry if I cannot forgive that ministry for what they have done. For me to do that, I have to hear them apologize straight from their mouths (like that will ever happen  ).

  6. Wow... well, that confirms what my impressions have been all along...

The guy had to go so deeply into monsterville to go along with Vic's teachings and practices that he can't dig himself back out.

His only regrets are that he got caught, and the consequences of getting caught.

There is no remorse because there is no understanding of what he did wrong.

He is still just a hollow little man in a big shell of bluff, bluster, and ego.

Hey... he reaped what he sowed.

He is not just a hollow man now. He is just a sorry excuse of a man.

  7. So were do you stand are you open minded today or are you closed minded. How do you debate truth today.

Today I try to set that I only see in part but I want a bigger picture than I had in the Way Ministry.

    What about you?

    Thank you

with love and a holy kiss blowing your way Roy

I am a little open-minded today as I look at different beliefs (even as wacky as TWI's) and try to analyze and make sense out of them. In other words, I look at both sides of the story. I respect and try to respect other people's beliefs

IMO, if something works well in your life, fine. However, I am not certainly open to people who try to shove their beliefs down my throat or start babbling that their lifestyle is better than mine. How do they know? Just because it works for them doesn't mean that it works for me.

Just like I said in my intro, if I am asked if I believe JesusChrist is God, my response is and will always be: DOES IT MATTER?

I am really and truly FREE 11 years after I left (escaped) from TWI.

If I am M & A by them and by all their believers, I don't need them.

  8. During my brief time with TWI (3 years), I did have some of the extreme thoughts that has been mentioned like rounding up and killing homosexuals, but believe it or not, my first TC really talked me out and discouraged me of thinking that way. I left because of a comment that my last TC made when she was dogging me for some stupidity. That comment did startle me when she said that she'll follow LCM to the end of the world. I guess the s#!t really hit the fan after the time I left ('96).

  9. I was only in the ministry for 3 years. I never thought that they would go to the same extreme as Jonestown, but when the TC (Belle knows her) yelled at me that she'll follow LCM to the end of the world, that's when more red flags were raised in my mind and I decided that I had enough with this s**t of a ministry.

To that TC (S** B****m*r*), I wonder how she's enjoying the ministry now that her idol is no longer the MOG.

  10. She said the excuse he gave for sleeping with so many women was because VPW taught him everything; and he believed that if David had so many, so should he. So it seems he rationalized that there would be nothing wrong with him having many women.

    What a deluded moron.

She also said he said the only reason lawsuits came about was because he wasn't giving those women the attention they wanted. (WHATEVER CRAIG!!! GET OVER YOURSELF! YOU ARE SUCH A PIG!!!) These are all twisted ideas of course. Any man who only thinks with his penis would rationalize those kind of thoughts. She said he doesn't think he did anything wrong. The only thing she said is sorry for is the hurt he caused his kids.

Didn't do anything wrong??? HELLOOOOOO!!! Why did so many people leave the ministry? Why did so many people live in fear in the ministry? Why did so many people have ruined lives from total blind obedience to the ministry?

She said he didn't appear to make much money. I hope he suffers a lot emotionally and physically. He deserves it. Too bad he couldn't eat some of his own $h*t.

How the mighty has fallen. Indeed he deserves it.

Hey Martindale... What goes around, comes around. You reap what you sow.

BTW, Martindale... Didn't you say that you are qualified to work as a CEO for Fortune 500 companies. What are you now, eh?

Come on. Tell us honestly what are you now, eh? Remember lying is a sin so tell us truthfully what are you now, eh?

  11. The article link I posted is talking about the current invasion, not the Gulf War, which was not U.S. invasion of Iraq, but a military action to get Iraq troops out of Kuwait.

Then why are you even mentioning about the first Gulf War with the example of the Scud missiles?

Were Scud missiles sent to Israel this time around?

I don't "know" it, but I believe it is a strong possibility based upon the ongoing U.S. tradition of protecting Israeli interests.

Evidence indicates they were there at one time, but Saddam moved/destroyed them, but then led U.S. and others to believe they were still there.

Why these evidences has not been shown a lot more? and Why several months later, it was revealed that the intelligence that gathered these evidences was faulty?

Had the U.S. / Bush believed that Saddam not had the weapons, I don't think Bush would have ordered the invasion.

NO... This warmonger wanted to find any excuse to invade Iraq and after 9/11, he and Cheney wanted and insisted that Iraq was involved in it.

I do believe a large part of the Gulf War was about oil, but I believe it had a dual purpose too in protecting Israel. Who were firing the Patriot Missiles at the Skuds?

Now you're confusing the first Gulf War with the Second Gulf War (the invasion). BTW, if someone fires missiles at you, what will you do? So, Israel is not justified in firing Patriot Missiles at the Scuds directed at it? Is that what you're trying to say?

With respect to the current invasion, the fact that Mr. Zelikow was there consulting with the administration with folks making decisions on these things, and even willing to speak up about it which is so rare, should open some eyes.

Well... who is Mr. Zelikow? and put a link related to him.

  12. ((((((((FreeFromCults))))))))

Glad to see you here. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully your actions will inspire some lurkers to stop, think and become FREE.

    SV...

    Thank you.

My actions occurred 10 years ago this past March.

For some lurkers, it will be difficult because they have family and some have put their whole lives in the ministry.

The main thing and it is the best example of Spiritual Abuse that keeps a lot of people "in" is FEAR. That ministry implanted that FEAR of "Terrible things will happen to anyone who leaves TWI."

10 years ago, I reached a point that I didn't give a fly if something terrible will happen to me when I leave. So I left.

  13. During and right after the Gulf War, Iraq wasn't near developing WMD's & nuclear, so the U.S. didn't need to invade at that time.

Then that article link you posted is totally bogus.

But remember the Patriots and the Skuds? And remember some Skuds hitting Israel? Had those skuds been WMD's, the U.S. would have invaded way before 1991 under the same concept ... to protect Israel.

Invaded way before 1991??? How would you know that? Let's see what happened before 1991, Iraq was embroiled in a war with Iraq. The US was supporting Iraq. Then, a couple of years later after that war is over, Iraq invaded Kuwait. What did the US did? Certainly not planning on invading Iraq.

Once Iraq developed WMD's, the gravest threat was to Israel and who doubts Saddam would have used them based upon his previous use of the skuds hitting Israel.

Have the WMDs been found yet?

All that talk about invading Iraq to protect Israel or other countries in the region is nothing but a mask to the real reason: oil.

  14. TWI should try this DEBATE method

TWI won't do it because they don't allow independent thinking. They keep on spouting "be of one mind" or "be like-minded" (how I hate these terms).

It is either accept their doctrines without question or take a hike and be shunned.

To me, I decided enough is enough that I took a hike, not caring if I lost contact or if I become a "greasespot by midnight"

  15. Let me add:

All of that "NO DEBT" policy since '94 is nothing but a sham. While ideally, it's nice not to have any debts. They have to see what types of debts are worthwhile in the long run (mortgages, school loans, starting a business), but they didn't. It's all about filling their pockets.

I feel the main reasons why they enforced the "HAVING A DEBT IS AGAINST GOD'S WORD" parroting are the following:

    a) Envy that some rank and file will gain more money than them ro-BOTs.

    b) The money going to pay a debt must be going to the ro-BOTs' pockets instead.

    c) Sell your possessions to pay-off your debts and send the rest of the money to the ro-BOTs.

It is all about the Benjamins, peeps. With their greed, it's not surprise that they are forcing everyone to "NOT GOING IN DEBT".

  16. Yes, Rhino. I'm not sure when, but TWI had all their staff sign waivers to not have SS withheld from their paychecks. Not sure if you can do that anymore these days and the folks do now have it withheld from what I understand, but by not contributing during those years means less that you get when you qualify.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge and a better memory than mine can weigh in on that one.

I know that, for me, growing up with a banker as a Daddy, I learned the value of money and the importance of compounding interest and saving NOW so that I can live comfortably LATER. My ex didn't have anything saved up, had not a penny to his name when we got married. We lived off my paycheck for six months while he went back through the Police Academy to get back into law enforcement.

I always made more money than he did, but he wanted me to lower my 401K withholding so that we would have more money NOW to live on. I lied and told him I did. It was one of the dumbest things he told me to do. He fought me tooth and nail about buying a house, but once TWI came out with the "we do not have a policy on debt" he was a wee bit more receptive to the idea. I jumped on it and we bought a house very, very quickly.

When we got divorced, though, he didn't hesitate to ask for his half of the equity in the house - the house he didn't want to buy - the house I pitched a fit for - the house my Daddy paid the closing costs on..... Daddy said I had to do that, but to make sure he didn't get a penny of my 401K and he didn't.

Since the ex follows TWIt investment advice, I'm sure he hasn't grown that nest egg he did get from me and will be in the same dire predicament as so many other TWIts. It's sad, actually.

    Belle,

Your ex reaps what he sowed. If he didn't give much contribution to the house equity, he doesn't deserve &$*#. However, what's done is done. Just don't give him any more $$ as he doesn't deserve it for all the &$*# that you've been through.

If he's in the same dire predicament as many TWIts, well then... TOUGH!!! that is his prerrogative, not yours. Like I said, he reaps what he sowed and... don't give him any $$$... not even if he comes begging you and kissing your arse. Let him survive on his own and on his own life decision.

    Regards.

    FFC

  17. Was it Howard or what's his name Owens that said the retirement plan was to work till you die?

...work till you die so that they can live in luxury for the rest of their lives.

They are nothing but a bunch of conniving hypocrites .

  18. The idea that the U.S. invaded Iraq to protect Israel, thereby shedding U.S. blood, isn't that far fetched and has some weight.

    READ THIS

If that were true, why didn't Bush Sr. do that after kicking Iraq out of Kuwait?

With all these sanctions. Iraq was a lot less threatening to other countries after the first Gulf War.

  19. Come on MountainTopCO, you make it sound like we were shackled prisoners in a concentration camp.

We weren't held captive and I don't buy into the VMP.

Yeah... Being intimidated and being told that horrible things will happen to you when you leave the ministry sure isn't a good way to hold someone mentally and spiritually captive.

If you weren't held captive, then why did you leave?

As for me, I left on my own accord. For the record, I wasn't kicked out. I didn't give them the pleasure of hauling my arse to a Kangaroo Court like they did to other people at the time. By the time I left, I didn't FU--C-K-ING care if I got killed in an accident because by then, I felt it was better off being dead than to live under the thumb of your dear F-U-C-K-I-N-G TWI ministry.

NOW HOW'BOUT THAT FOR FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION: F-U-C-K THE WAY INTERNATIONAL AND THEIR LEADERS!!!

I agree Rascal. I’ve been out for 4 years. I have met some wonderful Godly people and learned some great principles. At one church I visited, the minister laid hands on me and ministered to me. I was delivered in a powerful way. God is alive and well and lives powerfully outside the confines of TWI.

    NO KIDDING!!!

    Isn't Freedom Great?

The irony is that there are more people in the world outside TWI that are Godlier and much more loving.

  20. Diazbro, You explained my position precisely.

I second rascal and agree what Diazbro stated.

We can get on and move on with our lives happily and peacefully IN SPITE of not forgiving people who has done us a lot of harm.

I am perfectly happy as the TWI scums don't play any role in my life. Will I forgive them? YEAH... RIGHT!

Will I forgive the last BC, TC and LC that I had? YEAH...RIGHT.

Will I lose sleep over not forgiving them? YEAH...RIGHT.

Will I wish them the best? YEAH...RIGHT.

Like many of us here, I am much better off without the TWI... 10 years later.

To me, the best way to get back at them is showing and let them know how succesful we are without them and that we are "blessed more abundantly" (how I hate that term) without them.

In their sick minds, they say that our success and "abundant blessing" is "work of the adversary".

I love to let them know that...YES, it is work of the adversary... the adversary of the TWI ministry... NOT the adversary of God.

Like I said: "to each, their own."
