  1. YEAH! It's way cool without the twi notes! My bible is full of notes, some are nice to have, helpful even, but going back through it's amazing how many of those notes are just wrong! I'm blown away right now at the stuff we took at face value. BTW TomStrange, you kept twi notes?
  2. Nato, A few months ago, on a kind of whim, I opened my dusty bible and started to read the new testament. I had never, EVER, in my entire life, just sat and read the Word when it wasn't part of some required review or to follow along at a teaching. I cannot tell you how much closure I've received from twi hurts from just....reading.....the....Word. If you like, here are some books on the basics that helped me get back to basics and re-receive so many things lost b/c of my bitterness: "God's Opinion of You" by Terry Mize "Our Covenant with God" by Kenneth Copeland "Freedom from Fear" Kenneth Copeland "The Power of the Tongue" Kenneth Copeland I was skeptical at first when an ex-twit friend of mine recommended them, but it was so worth it!
  3. Have I been completely asleep at the wheel here? Who's running large groups in columbus and Cleveland? What's the name of the groups?
  4. About 12 months ago they were in Kentucky and were running a fellowship with CFF.
  5. "Well, I guess it's no surprise for me either. As I understand it, there are a whole lot of people with CFF that stayed all the way until Craig got caught with his tallywhacker where it shouldn't have been. And if that was the "final straw" that caused the people to leave, then they weren't really paying very much attention in the first place, because there were many many things that were way off the Word besides all of the adultry, rape, and coercion that surrounded them. The very obsessive micro-management alone was so far from the old TWI days, that I am surprised any old timers like Shroyer stuck around. To me, it seems like to stick around that long and finally leave because of the "Craig getting busted" thing tells me that they were not too sharp at all, to then go and start a full fledged "ministry". So, no surprise that it's taken this turn..." For the record--I have to say, in J0hn Shr0yer's defense, that he left well before Craig and his tallywhacker got caught!

    Texas

If you find REAL Kolaches, they're a sweet bread (not a roll, more like a homemade bread) with a sausage and/or cheese inside. Mmmmmmmmmm. Believe it or not some of the best kolaches I've had came from the freezer aisle at HEB!!!

    Texas

I can't believe ya'll are in Texas and noone brought up Kolaches with cheese for breakfast! Jeez!! :)
  8. Half the Shroyer's are still in TWI, and all of them are either at HQ, are Corps, or are HFC's/assistant's. Sara Shroyer would be John's niece in law.

    Let's say thanks!

This email's been going around, I already received it twice this morning. Let's say thanks! If you go to the web site http://www.letssaythanks.com/ you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services. It is FREE and it only takes a second. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? I sent mine, now you send one too! Have fun with this and let these guys and gals know how much they are appreciated!
  10. Bek Girl, it's been 12 years. I'm glad you've found peace. Check your email. One of your Bremen friends

    The DaVinci Code

I liked the part part about the origin of the Star of David-where exactly did the Star of David come from? I've gotten all kinds of emails about christians wanting to protest the movie. I say just take it as a learning experience and great show! The book gave me some ideas on things to look up, like the dead sea scrolls-heard of it but never knew what it was-things like that. I never really knew where the words pagan and villain came from-I might look that up to see if it's fact/fiction, etc. etc. It must seem kind of Kindergarten to ya'll, but I was one of those teens in twi that just went along in my "parents church" and didn't pay a whole lot of attention! Now that I'm older (maybe kinda wiser too) this stuff interests me.

    The DaVinci Code

I didn't know about Angels and Demons! A prequel? Sweet! That's at the top of my shopping list now! Belle, the interviews on GMA sound like something I'd like, but um, some of us apparently live under a rock--what the heck is GMA?

    The DaVinci Code

I haven't seen this topic anywhere on here yet-sorry if I missed it! Alright. I finished the book yesterday and have to say that it was an awesome read! There's one BIG thing that ruins it though--some are saying it's truth and some are saying its fiction--but if the Holy Grail is what the book alleges, then we don't have a savior!! Otherwise it's one heck of a novel! Anyhow, I was really hoping some of you have read the book. I'd love to see your points of view! Thanks!
  14. See Me, Paw, I don't believe the guy YET, but since I've been many different names, I agree. Ya'll are right.
  15. Hey Goey, The BC held it up and showed the entire class-don't remember his exact words but he led us to believe it was current-you know, the whloe attack of the adversary for our new classes type thing (don't remember exactly but that was the gist). This was around '96-'98 ish? Like I said, it could've been a preserved copy, but it looked like a new magazine from where I was sitting! Apologies if I'm wrong!
  16. There was another in the mid to late 90's used as an example for something at one of our WAP classes-it was current according to the BC, but who knows-in retrospect, he was a liar! Could've been a copy from the 70's or 80's but looked awefully new to me!
  17. It wasn't so long ago that TWI was listed in TIME MAGAZINE as one of the top ten cults in America. I have to agree.....Freud is a fraud.
  18. I talked to an innie friend today who said she saw the Tinsley's at the sunday service last week--so I guess that answers that! Folks are still dropping like flies though, unfortunately this one turned out to be only a rumor. Thanks everyone for helping!
  19. More and more folks are leaving! Rumor is Stan Tinsley, LC for West Virginia, is among the latest leadership to make his exodus. Does anyone know for sure?
