In my opinion the real question is what do they teach. What do they believe concerning the Bible? If their teaching is "PFAL centric" , and if you don't agree with or like that, then don't participate. If you do agree, then CFF might be a good match for you. Seems to me that the best way to know what they teach is to listen to their teachings, maybe read some of their material. They have a website. Asking questions is good . . . good questions have been proposed on this thread. You make your decision by using your God given freedom of will. Bottom line ==> to coin a phrase, 'at the end of the day', have they [CFF, GSC, whoever] promoted God or have they promoted their organization/agenda ? Everyone has to decide this for themself. Statements thay imply that persons who hold some regard for things taught by VPW are stupid and can't think for themselves can lead to possible derailments of the original subject matter, and often do come across as judgemental and bitter.

"What do YOU bring to the *table* to make this a wholesom healing place, or the place that you would like to visit? Rather than simply being mad at someone else for not bringing what we personally like." I'm no madder at someone else for not bringing what we (I) personally like than anyone else at GS. This thread, perhaps now classically derailed, started with PL asking about CFF. (I'm not a member). I felt some of the replies were no more objective than the "all churches are bad" mentality of TWI. But, I guess we're all just giving our opinions, that is what we all bring to the table.

Thanks. I don't mean to be offensive either, and I apoligize for the medication statement that I made earlier in this thread. Sometimes, however, people at GS are like the pot calling the kettle black. Someone states that they still accept certain tenents of PFAL and they are bombared with judgement.

What if two different people who have "participated and supported them" behave in totally different ways? (say one is kind, understanding, level headed; the other is stubborn, over zealous, etc.) Which one do we use as a reference point for determing the spiritual healthiness or lack thereof?

"NP, if they (CFF) still worships vee pee, then is it really any different from being in TWI directly?" Define worship.

My bad. I thought you said "how do they feel about veepee?" My reply was in reference to that. Sorry for the confusion.

Could their ever be a situation in life where that would not matter?

Cow girl, I think that was the best thing said on this thread. I think folks are running low on their medication.
  9. Hi Raf, I think we agree on the points you have made.
  10. Thanks Raf. "No one could teach as frequently as Wierwille without sitting down and reading and studying and attempting to understand and see the relationships between Biblical records. I get that. So it doesn't surprise me that someone would observe VPW studying the Bible. And that's good. It really is." This quote expresses what I was thinking, and that's why I asked HCW to comment further. No one has been more shocked than me as I have read GSC over the last couple of years. We simply cannot line up all of VPW's actions with scripture. I cannot line up all my actions with scripture. Let's not debate who is/was the worst sinner. As I stated earlier we all have to decide how we will deal with this. We were all young, and did look thruogh rose colored glasses. They have been removed. Thanks again for your reply.
  11. In other words until you realize that he was an imperfect human. Everyone has to decide how they will deal with this.
  12. Thank you. What you describe is what I had always pictured in my mind. Until GSC, of course.
  13. HCW wrote: "That being said, I observed him putting in COUNTLESS hours working, studying and serving us all as Founder & President of The Way International. He earned my respect in that regard. I could write LOOOOOONG posts of personally wonderful experiences w/him. " I've read GS for 5 years and never seen a comment like that about VPW. HCW, Can you comment further on this? Thanks, NP
