  1. So if we are born spirit beings, then how do you account for believers in the OT who had the spirit of God taken away? If the spirit was taken away, then they had no spirit. If we are already spirit beings, then what do we receive from God in salvation?

The Spirit of God and the spirit of man are two different entities. When we get salvation, God's Spirit comes and dwells in us in our spirit. Christ in you. We get his in dwelling presence.

    you said...

I think I would have to take issue with this. When the scripture speaks of the "spirit of man", it's simply referring to the soul. It's not the holy spirit, which is what Adam lost in his disobedience. Jesus Christ said that the "spirit is willing but the flesh is weak". The word spirit doesn't mean the holy spirit in them but rather the attitude of the mind.

It's all in the symantec range of pneuma. Can you explain it to me more?

    Lone Wolf

spirit and soul are two different entities. Adam lost his spiritual connection to God (revelation and walk) relationship was lost and introduced sin and death to the world.

Please explain to me what "attitude of mind" is and how it has anything to do with the spirit.

There is a spirit realm and when can enter in to the presence of God through worship, prayer, etc.

The Way with all of its "mind" doctrine really warped our brains. Bottom line it is new age stuff. We study and have knowledge but our power source is in the realm of the spirit. We were taught in the way that anything spirit was always from the devil spirit side of things. The only way we know about the spirits is through discerning of spirits.

I am enoying this thread with you.

  2. You should have prayed for God to protect you from Doctrines of devils in SEPTEMBER 1979. One of the biggest lies is calling VP "father in the word" Now that is idolatry. God bless you. Try praying and fellowshipping with God. I threw col.. colat.. colatr.... I cant say that word. Anyway, I threw ALL my materials in the treash. I havent said the c word in twenty years.

I do thank God for the way in that I was born again and SIT and met the greatest people one could ever hope to know. After that. well...

  3. The essence of man is spirit. Man is primarily a spirit being

Man was born with a spirit and not without one like VP taught

Man is a three part being. He/she is spirit, soul and body. Always called spirit first...I Thessalonians 5:23; I John 5:8; Job 34:14.

Genesis 1:26 God is Spirit. Angels are spirit beings with free will.

Genesis 2:7 God breathed spirit into Adam and he became a living soul. No life in a body unless there is spirit

The spirit in man is called "the spirit of man".

    Usages of spirit of man...Ecclesiates 3:21,22; Proverbs 20:27; I Corinthians 2:11; Job 32:8;

Ok. If I remember correctly, and if not, I know someone will...

VP taught man born body and soul. No spirit.. Adam lost it for us. When we get born again we get God's Spirit and we are then a three part being.

Man is not an animal. I Corinthians 15:39

When I learned and believed that I am a spirit being, I have soul and I have a body to house my spirit, as a Christian I shed the fleshly and soulish dominations over my life. I truly began to know what being led by the Spirit was all about.

I began to "press in" to the spirit realm and saw miracles, healing and deliverance frequently when I ministered to people.

I have witnesses to prove it

    More to come...

  4. I went through the shame and guilt, too. For quite awhile. I got active in non-denominational churches and found out people dont really care if we were in a cult. I chose to hang out with Christians who were into being spiritual and not carnal. I told a pastor once in a conversation that I was with TWI. He replied, "thats ok, I was a Baptist".

  5. But Notawafer... I want to get you started on the manifestations. Maybe you should start another thread. I love to SIT outloud 24/7. Decent and in order, I know, I know...

    Nota....sorry for the above misspell

  6. At this point in life and don't think Craig or VP had a clue about spiritual emotions OR walking by the Spirit. VP was a hot tempered German and Craig was a hot tempered... The only spiritual emotions they displayed were flesh (five senses) emotions manifested due to demonic control.

People, people...we need to study spirit, soul and body. Thats right. Spirit should come first. The Spirit bypasses the mind. The mind learns later. But. You see, There are a bunch of verses in the bible stating that man is a spiritual being. We possess a soul and live in a body. When God made Adam he breathed spirit life into him.

    Ok, I am off topic.

  7. John S. can open up, and teach the OT like no one else. :)

I agree wholheartedly. The John I remember always had a passion to teach and impart to others. He was an unselfish teacher void of ego. I am sure he needs healing like the rest of us. He was always kind to me and my researcher wife.

  8. I believe my "clergy status" was real. I know because of what I have walked in since I left TWI at the end of 1986. I have been ordained since then and continue to minister. It is not the ordination that counts but the calling of God on our lives. in addition to the calling, it is fulfilling our calling by walking with the Lord and getting others saved and walking according to the Word.

My clergy seal. If I remember correctly,it was a five sided block of wood with a metal plate on top with a logo that looked remarkably like a pentagram. There was a plaque on the front with my name and date of ordination Inside the wood was a portion of the salt covenant I took. The corps seal was supposed to go back to HQ when the clergy died.

Somewhere around 1995 on a farm in Bedford, Virginia, I placed the corps seal on a fence post. About twenty yards later I turned around a blew it away with a high powered rifle. The only thing left was the metal pentagram top piece with a large hole a little off center. I threw it in the trash. I felt a great weight come off of me. Kind of like Braveheart crying, "Freedom".

It is not a seal or a certificate that makes a person. It is what's inside a person that matters.

  9. RG Along the lines of reward.. I recommend reading a book by John Bevere called, Driven by Eternity. It really motivated me to walk more and more in holiness, live for Jesus and move forward with my life.

    :offtopic:

Nametag: I threw mine out with my corps notes, way books and anything else that was poisonous from TWI. I didnt want to be like Achan. I even burned my corps grad certificate, my fake Bachelor of Theology degree and my clergy certificate. I won't tell what I did with my clergy seal unless someone asks.

  10. Well, I am saying that Scientology IS all bad. I live out here in LA LA land where the Scientology HQ is and have had tons of Hubbard books mailed the my school where I work. They aretrash, and hey it isn't a Christian organization. Tom Cruise is a cult leader and people out here buy into it so they can get a chance to meet him. The churches in NY should step up and minister to people. I dont think a Scientology based rehab will even help them. the workers need love, prayer and healing in the name of Jesus Christ.

  11. I actually saw Bill's list. I believe he made it through the list. He showed it to me at lunch one day. His motives were always genuine. He honestly wanted to meet everyone in the Corps. How did he miss you NIKA? Maybe lightbearers threw off his schedule.

  12. LCM should COME BACK to Jesus, repent for a few years and go serve for a couple more years at his own expense at the Dream Center in Los Angeles. Jim Baker, after being released from prison, lived at the Dream Center and as far as I know is getting his ministry restored.
