  1. is it ok if i think homosexuality is wrong?Call me a bigot but I would prefer if my kids didn't go that way.

somebody i really loved and respected was a homosexual. he's dead because of the lifestyle. i still loved him to the end. He loved God.

is it ok if i tell someone that the roughly humanoid looking blob of ectoplasm with glaring red eyes that shows up in their bedroom every night is probably not their dead grandma and might be dangerous?

    ok, thanks

    by the way,

    KISSMYASSTWI!!!!!!

  2. I remember them taking great relish in performing that song. Even though I was pretty much waybrained at the time I was extremely concerned that they would perform that type of Branch Davidian crap. I felt scared for the poor hotel staff behind the walls for one thing. They had another wierd song(Mike Martin again), that I mentioned months ago called "Don't Be Afraid Of Confrontation". That one was playing in the background, so they must have had a recording of it but I haven't seen it on any of the CD's I have.

TWI as we all know is caught up in the old testament. Last time I checked it wasn't 800BC.

God is the same always, but c'mon get off the Conan .... willya?

ala: got your mail, still don't know why you can't get mine.

  3. Wayfer, I think sudo, quarma quameleon and others are being a little hard on you but maybe they know you better than I do.

All I can say is I'm still "in" TWI but have rebelled and refuse to carry out or support the idiocy. Since the time I acquired this mindset and started taking action some pretty funky stuff has happened.

BUT MORE ....ty stuff happened when I was a sold out waybrainer. They just told me it was because I was such a great believer that I was getting attacked.

When I lived in Boston they called that restraint thing "The Boot" you would get it for not paying your parking tickets. Everyone dreaded "The Boot".

Now that I think about it, maybe it was good that Ward and Wally spoke bluntly to you because perhaps it will help us ALL to get rid of the insidious "WAYBRAINNNNNNNNNNNN"

  4. Thanks, Grizzy

I remember starting to hear from local leadership especially during the inquisitions of the mid 90's that every decision we make needs to be made in light of how the household will be affected. Seemed innocent enough at first.

Then the teachings on selfishness started to pop up all the time.

but by the middle of last year I started to thinkin....what about MY f**kin household?

My wife, My kids, My future?

guess I started to be more of a man round then.

It was a neccessity for survival.

  5. Eloquent words from emerson and eloquent words from you.

In or out, mortgage or not, God answers prayers.

Sounds like we are both living in the same hell!

I heard the most recent STS teaching by Nick Maxson and many others.. including the anniversary service. Dry as the desert. Empty as a graveyard echo.

All I can say is it wasn't what I needed to hear. I've gotten far, far more comfort from GS'ers, friends, family and others that are still in but also trying to beat against the TWI system.

Best teachings I've heard at fellowship are from the unjaded neophytes.

The guilt and fear comes and goes with me along with blind hatred and numbness.

But I'm getting more and more convinced every day that God is still with me unconditionally.

    My prayers are with you.

    Love,

    grasshopper

  6. You are so right. Didn't figure that stuff out until recently. It just didn't penetrate my thick skull. They (RC's, LC's) are protecting their jobs OR they want to have enough people under them to be put on salary.

Right down the line: The Trunk speaks and the rest of the way tree is forced to carry it out.If classes ain't runnin heads roll and the blame gets put on the "hard hearted twig-ites"

It's always about outreach. Now Platig wants twig-ites to send outreach reports upwards via the chain of command so that he can "pray" with us (not in person of course)

    Damn

Freshair, it's good to have you back! Your topics and posts get me all worked up.

  7. What nk says is true, however, they have created a (much) more defined division/chasm between leadership (inlcuding assistant TC's) and the rank and file. Saw this big time towards the end of my leadership stint. You are not to share many many more things now that are taught at leaders meetings and especially not to let down your guard when talking to people whose loyalty or spiritual maturity is in question (like me or my wife)

....hard to put this into words but I'm sure many know what I'm talking about. While on one hand they want to be perceived as more kind and loving they are even more guarded, suspicious and judgemental than ever. The conversations they have between themselves must be disgusting.

I'll try to think this through better it's real slimy stuff.

  8. That wasn't a picture on the ceiling.

Thanks for the compliment on my guitar playing. Did you guys like my rendition of "King of the Road"?I'm working on "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport" for your Xmass visit. We've got the spare room all fixed up for you. I think you'll like my velvet glow in the dark Elvis painting. Can't guarantee that the toddlers won't check in on you though... I'll try to get the lock fixed.

Got you a reservation on Basket Airways out of Rock City with stopovers in Sault St Marie and Rangoon,Vermont.

Have you ever ridden in a turboprop biplane?

Return trip is on the "City of New Orleans" via Lodi NJ and Beckley West VA. Should be a nice ride. BYOB.

Well we can't wait. I'll e-mail you the menu ASAP

    I'm thinking a Polish-Mexican-Hungarian kind of thing.

send me the plumbing bill along with GI Joe.

  10. Heart wrenching story in many ways but so damn glad to hear you got your music life together before it was too late. Inspiring for me. I gave it up to go WOW and never got it back to the extent I wanted but trying hard to now I'm closer to 50 than 40.

Talk about talent squelched. How about Bob Stanley?

I really loved his music except for the stuff that was blatantly TWI production influenced. I'm pretty sure he's still Corps and in TWI. Loved that white Fender Jazzmaster or (Jaguar) he used.

Ted Ferrell: I used to love it when you did that elvis leg twitchin thing.

  11. Love Alison Krause's eyes and playing.I'm on a southern rock jag right now- Outlaws- Bring it Back Alive "hurry sundown" "green grass and high tides"

Just got a bootleg Dylan live at Hollywood Bowl 1965- just after Newport Jazz when he went electric. Art Pepper made Chet Baker look like a choir boy- amazing how such sweet music can come out of such tortured souls.

Check Out BB King "live at the regal"(early 60's vintage... lot's of guitar)

Platigs guitar solo on the first Branded tape "the man I know to be" is one of the finest I've ever heard. Shoulda stuck to that harve.

Danny Hoefer was the best TWI guitar man next to Socks.(Check out Socks on the Tom Lepinski album)

It's not how many notes you play but how you play em.

Just listened to the New Dylan CD- wierd music cool words great album.

    Jazz Guitar: Kenny Burrel

Most tasteful guitarists: Robbie Robertson and George Harrison.

Greatest guitar battle: Robbie Robertson vs Clapton and Jeff Beck on "further on down the Road" from The Last Waltz 1976

Best TWI guitar solo:Danny Hoefer at Rock of Ages mid 80's on "If I could Reach Just one"

Best TWI jam: PDSTRO with Rod Price of Foghat- ROA mid 80's jammed on "Attitude of Heart. I Remember Joe Fare just stepping back with an uh oh there he goes look on his face.

  12. Welcome Wayne,

I'm very sorry hear about that young girl. I was also a WOW in 82-83. I remember hearing the rumor a few years later but not the bestiality video thing. Jeez, that's a hard one to believe but I was never part of the "inner sanctum".

I think there are those who would attest to the fact that VPW had sex with young girls and I do know personally of one person who committed suicide because of obsessive guilt from their association with the way, it wasn't a girl however.

    What a world.

  13. it's a sign of the times. I'm battin 2 fer 2 on "The Lift List" but my heart and prayers go out to all of you who are still believing and battling far more serious situations.

    Chatty:

I'm composing a letter to our friends in Colorado who we discussed recently. If this don't make the s**t hit the fan I don't know what will.

  14. I was scared sh**less as I arrived at the dr's office. Upon further examination the doctor couldn't find the blood vessel cluster he was suspicious of at my last visit and decided not to do any cutting. Totally clean slate. no further examinations required for 5 years.

    (((((((((((thanks my wonderful friends)))))))))))
