  1. Out of a 10 I am a 1/2 when it comes to computer literate. O. k., when I log on to Greasespot, how do I get to my account? I see folks have added little quotations at the end of their posts. How do I do that? I just noticed tonight that under my name it says, wants to eat at the counter. What does that mean?

I noticed that other posts on this site deal with more complicated stuff than I am asking. I hope this is the proper site to ask this. I appreciate your help.

    Lovies,

    Kimberly

  2. Good eating is on the way. I was holding holiness in my hands as I kissed and then placed each precious tenderling in the ground. Yum, the plant even smells like a tomato. I had visions of tomato sandwiches dancing in my head. I gave thanks to Father God for each one. I know he truly loves me because He created tomatoes.

  3. Living here in the sunny south we take an extreme pride in growing tomatoes. It is a religion. Tomatoes are the number one home grown vegetable in the good ole USA.

Tomatoes out of season where you live? Your only recourse is buying one in the grocery store? All of us know they do not taste the same as the home grown maters.

    Try this................

Select only ripe, red tomatoes. DO NOT refrigerate them. When I bring them home from the store I let them sit in my window sill for a couple of days. Peel off the skin. Slice and put in a collander. Sprinkle one side with kosher salt, turn over and sprinkle the other side. Let them sit and "sweat" in the collander for 10 to 30 minutes.

There is something about the salt (they only need a tad) that brings out that delicious tomato flavor. It is not quite the same as home grown flavor but it is greatly enhanced.

The same can be done for cucumbers. Ever had a bitter cucumber? This process will take out the bitterness.

  4. Tom was WOW in Cola., SC. He was from Minnesota....Duluth I think it was. Then after the WOW field, he, along with me and my husband moved to Greenville, NC to work a landscaping business for John Hendricks. Then we all moved to Charlotte. My husband and I moved to SC some time after that and lost touch with Tom.

Pam lived in Cola. the same time we all did. Gosh, we had some wonderful times together.

  5. He was married to the same woman 64 years!!! Unheard of in Hollywood. There has never been one bit of impropriety noted in his life. He was a man of principle, morals and Faith. He was a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I told my husband today I feel like not only did we lose a brother in Christ but one of the last great actors.

On a lighter note when we watched the news tonight and they showed excerpts of his movie career our 15 year old son said, "That's Taylor from Planet of the Apes!!! He was so young to die." I said no son, that movie was made when I was a kid. He is now 84 years old. We watched Planet of the Apes, on AMC, I think it was, just a couple of weeks ago for the umpteenth time. To think that classic would hold the interest a 15 year old!!! Talk about transcending the generations.

  6. Holy moly, when I read the subject line I thought, "What!!! Where have I been all day that I did not hear of his death on the news?" You scared me posting "Brother Gregg Allman" in Memoriam.

I feel kind of creepy posting this in Memoriam.

I read an article a week or so ago about him having Hepatitis C and his treatment.

I am all too familiar with the treatment and what it does to a person. My husband went through it. It is horrible. The lack of energy is the least side of it from my experience. The other medication, and I forget the name of the pills, taken with the treatment, made my husband mean and irrational. The doctors said that is the greatest down side of the treatment. It is literally reaking havoc in the body to attempt to eradicate the virus.

Country boys from Macon, Georgia produced the top ranked guitarist behind Jimi Hendrix, not to mention lyrics and a genre they created.

  7. Our precious Jeremy, the daughter of Charley and Vonda Cox was killed in an automobile accident June 2004. Charley was 10th Corps and Vonda was Family Corps 8. Jeremy was only 19 at the time. The accident occurred in Wyoming. Her brother Stephen was with her and survived.

I post this because I have noted those who knew Charley and Vonda and their children.

Our beautiful girl will meet Him in the air.

  8. It was so beautiful. And there are many aspects for me that are still awesomely beautiful. My dearest friends to this day are from that beautiful time. The woman that invited me to my first fellowship thirty years ago is to this day my closest friend. There are 4 others that was in our fellowship and we all still bonded together. It is the love for the Truth that has held us together.

  9. Julie White Perry are you out there? We were WOW sisters in 79-80 in Iowa. After the field she married Tim Perry. They were in Texas for a while then moved to Greenville, S. C. where my husband and I were living so we could all be together. She and Tim divorced, as did Terry and I.

If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.
