  2. Brad and Chris moved to HQ from Maryland in 1994/5, he was in the President's cabinet for years and handled the personnel and finance departments.

They left around 2000 for Dayton.

Shortly after or about the same time, Chris inherited a large punt of Limey and Brad wanted to buy a nice home. TWI would not allow them to as home ownership hindered their ability to relocate or be flexible for the needs if TWI. They stepped down from their coordinator position and their ties with TWI quickly deteriorated into nothing. They are noon get affiliated. I had brief contact with 2 of theirs sons around 2010. The others were finishing college. Brad is a personal financial broker and retirement adviser for Edward Jones in Centerville (Dayton).

Good for them on leaving and buying a home!!

Is twi still against having a mortgage/just believe God for $80,000 to fall from thre sky?

  3. :offtopic: OldSkool, are you saying that Jacqui H is another of LCM's women? If so, when, what sort of time period?

(Mind you, doesn't surprise me...have ceased to be surprised by such revelations.

I thought the H0rn3ys were basically all right. J was quite fun to be around and quite laid back. E had a sterner side. He liked getting stuck into work though, hard worker, led from the front as far as I could ascertain. (They were my Corps Coords). He gave us some serious tickings-off though and once threatened to kick us all out because some weren't wearing hats on a calm day when the air temp was subzero, and a few other things like that. I got the impression that it wasn't really "him" but something he'd learned as an add-on, or been told to do or was trying to measure up to doing.

Anyway back to the AC - too long ago to remember, but from high expectations, I wondered if I'd missed something.

I did find some time afterwards though to study (alone) various words relating to healing, cure, etc, an interest from the AC.

Also studied some stuff about what are signs, what are miracles, and what are wonders, and who each is aimed at. That was interesting.

Yeah I think E like most of the way "leaders" walked around like he was some sort of "tough guy"

I believe the majority of of the "leaders" could'nt "Cut the mustard" in the real world so they become a leader in the way where absolute obedience to a leader is required.

  4. I took LCM's A.C. in the late 90's.I expected to be amazed to learn about the other manifestations, looking back though I think the scriptures they taught related well to the manifestations, but as far as how to operate the manifestations they did not have a clue, reason being they just cannot get it through their heads that it's up to God to give revelation, heal etc.,It's not up to the wayfer.

Off the subject,E& H#%*!y coordinated my class and I think that guy has some issues. Is he still around?

  5. I don't think there is a "right" way to go about leaving them. We owe them nothing, not even an explanation. In some ways I think not giving them an explanation is a statement that a person is taking their freedom back and denying the way international authority they don't rightfully posses in the first place.

    [/quo

    Well said OldSkool.

  6. Remember being forbidden to say Merry Christmas?Well maybe forbidden is a strong word, could say you were looked upon as out of fellowship or whatever wayspeak s#!t talk they decided to use.

No more "happy household holiday" or sitting through another teaching on Jesus Christ or promised seed.

Do any of you have any stories of Christmastime in the way?

    Merry Christmas!

  7. I remember one time, when I was running a class, we had an unusually deep snowfall.... like 2 feet all at once or something. It was being held, on a Sunday morning, in the house of a believer who lived in one of those kind of neighborhoods where the snowplows don't venture for several days. Three or four of us guys (I think my brother may have been one of them.) arrived several hours early, cleared a single lane down the street and proceeded to hand shovel out enough parking spots for all those involved in the class. Of course, the neighbors were thrilled after we left because we saved them from digging out. Soooo, how much does a professional plow company charge for such services? I'd be willing to accept the going rate for 1974. (plus interest :biglaugh: )

Let me guess they said it was "Just a front of the adversary".

Man,I don't miss those days, thanks for the reminder Waysider.

  8. Oh, good Lord! I used to know several of the safety guys and they would get chewed out for not being in the right place at the right time to catch drive-bys. Reasoning was the same ole drivel - "God would have told you to be there so you were obviously not listening." And that crap came right down from the top sometimes. Rosie leans on Linder pretty darn hard about silly stuff such as this. And yes, she really believes she is spiritually responsible for the functioning body of Christ here in this world. And as such is at the top of the adversaries list of Christians to attack.

AHH YES...The old "God tried to tell you but,you were not listening".

News flash morons it's up to God when He talks to you.

It's funny I never heard this lie until I went way disciple,Heard it from a apprentice corps couple.

  9. OldSkool will probably remember this better than me..

I remember hearing a story a while back about some local kids coming through and causing problems on HQ property, then leaving only to be involved in a fatal car accident or something later the same night. It was spoken of by my friends who worked at HQ in hush-hush tones, implying that the reason they had the accident was because of the attack on HQ - that God gave them over to the Adversary.

    How sick is that?

That is very sick!I know when I was still involved alot of wayfers talked s#!t about God giving people over to the adversary,if they somehow wronged the "ministry".

I remember one incident where a nice lady decided not to attend a weekend long limb meeting, nice lady got in a car accident while limb meeting was going on and got injured, the branch coordinator said the accident happened because she did not go to the limb meeting.

  10. Rosalie and her clan are a joke.Sounds like they still will not let up on their no debt legalism,I'm sure in their minds they are thinking "We are so smart with our no debt policy and our punishments we enforce for people who have debt will give them the incentive to get out of debt."

News flash! You are not smart and you are not doing the will of God,look at your lack of fruit produced.

I have heard stories about twi people having a mortgage but they put it in someone elses name and this loophole still allows them to be involvrd in the corp etc.Anyone know if this is true?

  11. Thanks for the sts info Old Skool,no wonder the sts teachings suck so bad.I recently talked to a guy who is still involved with da way and even he said I quote "The sunday service teachings suck".I guess Rozilla does not agree with that verse that talks about "quench not the spirit" when it comes to someone teaching.

  12. I am sure your relative would love to see you there and has no ulterior motive, but as for some of the other wayfers that would be at the wedding you coming will be looked at as a victory for "God's household",an opportunity for them th show they are a kinder gentler ministry nowadays, which I would not buy into.I'm sure someone will try and sign you up for the class too or look for that "open door".

  13. When I left in 2005 the no debt law was in full force. So if you want to buy a house good luck to you saving the thousands of dollars needed or as wayfers like to say "Just believe God for the money."

I believe it is good to be in control of your money but,the no debt law is just out of control, insane!I mean they honestly think it's their right to stick their nose in peoples financial business and tell them how to spend the money that they did not work for.In addition I think the whole "Just believe God for the money" comment promotes laziness, weakness and a victim mentality mindset, don't get me wrong I am thankful to God for all of His blessings but,it is my job to get off my a$$ and make things happen.

  14. When I was still going to the way whenever someone would leave town for a vacation or whatever the leadership would want a detailed itinerary from you so that they could "Keep the adversary at bay" and "Plan the adversary out of your life",Which to me were just excuses for them to be nosy.

The last year I was involved with the way they had some kind of a.c. special in Texas ,which I was not planning to attend, therefore the b.c. in our area called and told me that I needed to call and check in daily with one of the local hfc's while he and the other "disciples"(wayspeak translation according to idiotic usage) were out of town for the a.c. special,I told the b.c. I was sorry but,I will not be calling the hfc and checking in daily,I just could not go along with anymore of the insanity.

Anyone else had any itinerary experiences with the way?

Does the way still want itineraries from their followers?

  15. This past sunday I turned on the tv and lo and behold there was a sunday service on one of the local channels. The guy taeching was talking about how his life at one time was not a good situation and then one day while hitchhiking he was picked up "witnessed" to signed up for the class and how everything in his improved after taking the class.

It aggravated me that God was not mentioned as the source of an improved life, but the class was!

    Another trigger phrase,"The class"

  16. Would it be available?

    Would you be blessed to?

Are you having some opportunities? (Here on planet earth we do not refer to problems as opportunities.)

I believe God can meet that need in the household. (I did'nt realize that we have the authority to tell God where He is allowed to meet needs.)

God tried to tell you but,you did'nt listen.

    We are way corp.

I once heard R@^@n S$~&!ew try to tell me that its o.k. not to honor people for their accomplishments because it is G od who will not forget a persons work and labor of love.I agree about the God not forgetting part, but I think R@^@n was trying to play wedgeword.

  17. I was thinking back to when I was still involved with the way and I was under the spell of their no debt policy and renting homes.

I had to move four times within a period of three years!Hence vagabond lifestyle.

I was so sick of not only moving myself, but also helping everyone else in the branch move.It was always interesting to me that the b.o.d. and other leaders who praised and enforced the no debt policy were never around to help move anyone.

Anyone else experience the vagabond lifestyle?
