  1. I don't think I want to teach you. Sorry, no offence. Just not into it.
  2. How would you convey the same ideas in GSC speak? Just pretend I said it that way.
  3. When someone is "pro" something it means they are for it, they agree with it. It's the opposite of "anti" which means to be against something. As far as the word "word," I use the word "word" interchangeably with the word "Bible." It's a book that claims to be authored by God. I'm not asking you to believe that it was actually authored by God, but it does say that nonetheless. Putting the two together then we get something like: "for the Bible." In other I am a real fan of it. I may not understand all of it, or even very much of it, but I do believe it contains all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Pet 1:3), two things I have a real interest in learning. Not sure how you made the connection between "pro word" and lack of self-awareness.
  4. What is the dispensation of the fullness of times? Why don't you tell me exactly what that verse says. If your answer makes sense, I may actually change my mind. Go for it...
  5. Well, you already know there is no basis in the scriptures for dispensations, so what the heck could I show you? The scriptures would be all I have.
  6. You can't find me sticking up for VP or twi anywhere in my posts. I understand there was a lot of hurt. Bitter? Eph 4:26, Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: I'm not saying it's easy, but God wouldn't have said that if it weren't possible. I started this thread by saying something about I just want to see the baby (the word), don't care how I got it. VP, Stiles, Bullinger, Graham, whoever. VP does not heal us and never did. The word heals us. It can heal any hurt. It's too bad some can't separate VP from the word. I completely understand why, but it's still a crying shame. A real coup of the devil. I was very involved with the way. Worked there many years. Bled my heart out for them in many ways. I was one of the first to leave after all the problems because I didn't want to get involved with all the junk. I've never gone back nor have I gone to any splinter groups. I'm me. I'm not that strong willed of a person or particularly disciplined, but, thank God, I was able to put the Way behind me and God's word in front of me. Gods has taught me more than ever since that day. If I can do it, I think there must be others who can do the same also. Maybe even here at GSC. Not everybody can make that distinction between the Way and the word. Some just hurt too bad. Real victory for the devil, but that's just how it is. Frankly I don't want or need to understand exactly what happened. Wouldn't help a thing. I guess it was pretty bad, but the word is still the word and that's what really matters.
  7. Maybe I'll get my head straighten out yet! Do you see any hope for that?
  8. So you do believe in dispensations. Sorry, I misunderstood. I take it all back.
  9. I'll take your word for the no attacks. Thanks. Just because you don't understand the Bible, doesn't mean I don't. Now I'm not saying I know it all, but I do know where it all leads. Eph 1:10, That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: I'm not going to dare comment on that verse as you may call it private interpretation. You make out of it whatever you think it says. It's no more complicated than what we all are writing to each other. Somehow we manage to understand all that. Why is the Bible any different?
  10. Real in depth analysis there my friend. Why in the world are you even reading my stuff?
  11. All I have for you is the word. If you are fed up with that, then end of discussion. I'll go ahead and say that means I'm avoiding the real issue because I have no real answers except the ones from VP, blah, blah, blah. There, now you don't have to say it. Save your typing hand.
  12. Right on brother. I guess to you nothing changed when Adam and Eve fell. And nothing changed when Jesus died and rose from the dead. It's all just the same. Never mind the book will never make sense if you just lump everything, everybody, and every time into one big ball of s..t.
  13. You didn't say you wanted me to teach you the answer to your questions. Didn't think you would though.
  14. Then you can't know a damn thing about God. OK?
  15. Very little discussion on the doctrine I speak of. Just personal attacks. That's GSC culture I guess. Most of your concepts seem to come from GSC speak. Maybe you should consider getting out of the GSC box.
  16. I think I understand what you are saying. If I'm wrong and my response is out of line, I apologize in advance. Here goes: Let's just say that the Bible does talk about dispensations or administrations. Let's further assume Darby was the very first man to see that and write about it. Does that mean nobody else every gets to write about it or teach it ever again? Does it somehow invalidate the concept of dispensations because Darby is no longer with us and it would be plagiarism to bring it up?
  17. You can ascertain a lot of what they knew by looking at the things Jesus taught them in the Gospels and first chapter of Acts. Pretty sure they understood that his resurrection is what made them whole and not their works.
  18. I just think that you wouldn't believe much of what I say because you lock me into VP. Never mind I haven't really stood up for him in any of my posts. Look and see if that's not he case. I'm pro word and that's it. I'm anti nothing. You don't need anything besides the word. You guys seem to think VP is behind every tree like LCM thought there was a devil spirit behind every tree. If you were hurt so badly, I understand and I'm sorry for you. If you can separate the word from VP I think you would receive a lot of healing. It's the word that sets people free. Don't give up on the word just because of some man or group. In any case, as far as I can tell you don't give a plug nickel for the things I'm saying. If I'm wrong, so sorry. If you really want help answering those questions I'll be glad to do just that. Let me know.
  19. Well, then forget Wierwille if he didn't teach you anything. I wish we could, but you guys are pretty wound up over him. I understand. I'm sure if I walked in your shoes I'd be right where your are now. I can't see your heart like God can, so I don't want to judge you. You're as precious in his sight as any other born again child of God. I know that. Are my teachings more to your liking?
  20. I asked that we don't bring VP or twi into this discussion. Not that I want to censure anything, just a request. You guys just can't help yourselves I guess. It's OK.
  21. No book, true, but the doctrine was still there. I think they understood a little bit about the new birth. Don't you?
  22. You are a son of God. I call that your standing, the doctrine. Call it whatever you want. In any case, the new birth is spiritual. It's what God in Christ did for you. All you did was believe unto it. It did not affect your mind or how you behave. That is your standing or the doctrine. Now God doesn't pour his word into your head at the new birth so you suddenly know all about him. But it does make it available for you to learn the things of God that you couldn't learn before your new birth. The natural man receives not the things of God, but he has revealed them to us, his spirit filled born again children, by his spirit. That's somewhere in Romans. The churches and twi focus on your state. You have to do this, you have to do that, you can't do that. The Way says you have to go WOW (whatever it's called now), join the corps, or whatever. They all want you to do something to grow into Christ. That is the walk pushing the doctrine and it seldom works. I am saying that if you want to walk better, study the doctrine. Learn who you are in Christ, what God has done for you. Learn how big his grace really is. The more you study the doctrine, the more your walk, how you witness Christ, will be in line with God's will. That is the doctrine pulling the walk. How does that smack of jargon and divisiveness? If you honestly look at it, it could change your life with God. That's up to you, but I'd not blow it off so quickly.
  23. I prefer my truth with joy and believing, not bitterness and acrimony. It's available you know. God bless... (hope that's no considered wayspeak). If so, then go with whatever GSCspeak is to say the same basic thing. Anyway, that's my sentiment towards you, Grace. You seem like a kind and caring person. Glad to meet you here.
  24. Let's just stick with the word and look at 1 Cor 12. If you don't like that one, try John 14:12. With the exception of tongues and interpretation of tongues I would say Jesus did all the things in 1 Cor 12. VP never taught that, did he? Do you like it?
