  1. as I was sleeping with my moose of a cat this morning and he rolled over and I couldnt move to get out of bed because of his size. I thought this is not normal. I ask myself why why is this happening and it dawned on me , I had his balls removed about 12 years ago and he has not been the same ever since. I bet he thinks I ruined his life. I do think I discriminated against nature itself in his case. but I just didnt want my house to smell like cat pee. I love him , I adore him and he is my best friend but for some kibble and sand he no longer can think about what could have been . and you think the homosexuals have it bad he seemed to scream. we all make life choices . I am stuck with a rather smelly old very fat cat on my bed as a result. We all have to chose what is right and wrong you call it discrinination I call it making a choice.
  2. hi Roy remember the private topic we had about not being afriad? I knew you would like it here Im glad your making friends and it is helping your life. love MJ412
  3. Mr Lingo why would you and your wife need to know? hhmmm? yes well my cat thinks he is a dominate male but who is he kidding?
  4. One of the sole bright spots for those with a traditional view of marriage and family was Rep. Marie Parente, D-Milford, one of the senior members of the House, who chided fellow lawmakers for saying that it was improper to debate the issue from a religious perspective. In fact, stories about racism and sexism and all sorts of other -isms, she said, only underscore the need for God. "Men fail -- that's why we need to talk about God once in awhile," she explained. "When I was a child, there was a guy who went to school with me every day, and He never failed me. But I'm not even supposed to say His name to you in here." Trefor you may feel it is ridiculas my cats cant vote I feel they are being discriminated against. You feel your hearing discrimination when same sex can not marry many feel the notion is ridiculas. who wins is in the vote. the people decide. As far as your whine about how I would feel ? I am a single woman in a male dominated society , it is white males who have the power and voice in this land so far and I live with the reality of this discrimination every single day . politics and big money is an almost exclusively male game with no woman allowed in America. I am a minority . I know how it feels I have lived with it my entire life. Did you read the item I pasted from the editorial? Did ya really ? she is a woman she is a major player politicaly , she does not rely on men or "ism" she believes God should be involved and she speaks very highly of the one she "walked to school with everyday", but she isnt allowed to say HIS name when dealing with the fact all men will fail one another. Get real Trefor on your discrimination speal, we all face it everyday . This will be set before the public vote and it will lose .
  5. Trefor blacks didnt have the right to be citizens . come on , homosexuals have the same rights as every other cititzen. my cats cant get married and I do not even think they are in minority in the country! go figure . get a rally going set up a lobby do something!!! What you have issues with is people who believe differently than you and in this country the solution is to get involved and make folks change their minds about ideals , which is exactly what is being done. We have to have order, we have to have standards Trefor geez they have to come from somewhere . They come from our people , the fact homosexuals are a minority is nothing more than the fact my cats cant vote. It isnt something done to them by a tyrant or God loving people it is reality . WE have laws to protect All the people and we do not exclude minorities in our decision or conclusions. If homosexuals want special rights so do my cats and so does all the single people that want some of the priviledges being married brings , do you not get this Trefor? We do discriminate YES you bet we do we discriminate every single day we pick and chose we decide and it is a GOOD thing. Not only do I believe the America has a good standard of people with which to make these Judgements and choices , I happen to believe the entire rest of the world believes it or learning very quickly they should .
  6. Mr lingo. and it can get worse ! look to see if your rep. is on the job or busy "panty sniffing" as Groucho describes or some other distraction , and not paying attention to the amendments that get stuck on or the great eraser from special interest group that lobby EVERY SINGLE day in congress. Bills can and do get modified and changed everyday and end up looking nothing like what the we wanted by the time they go through . That is just ugly and I hate when that happens we need to know who we vote in as the man or woman willing to stop that insanity! vote to stop the money mongers and special interest groups vote for a strong congress !
  7. In this country nothing is written in stone the draft can be put in place very easy if needed. Our sons still have to sign up when they turn 18. I do not think the political platform works to save the ills of of the world or America. That is the problem "special interest groups do seem to think they run congress but Trefor I do not want this type of Gvt. That is why we vote who we feel will represent our own state, we have "Levels" of gvt. involvement and say so , it is not like your govt. WE have a "system" that overrules and accepts the people choice . Agenda is as numerous as are groups of people. We are not a socialist state , nor do we have a (human) King or communist Leader that speaks for the people the people decide and the information and agends should be studied by each individual to decide . The bottom line is this Trefor homosexuals are a minority , and as Mark tried to explain to you in a very nice manner this America is not ready for them to be anything eles . I believe it is because so many still believe in God and His truth as written in the scripture and also is incorporated into our constitution as THE SPIRIT that made this Country as POWERFUL as it truly is to the rest of the world. the Spirit of America is an alive force here Trefor one that we all must recognize to remain truly the land of the free. And we do!!!!!
  8. ok lets try again Massachusetts Marriage Debate Dead Ends by Gary Schneeberger, editor SUMMARY: Lawmakers end two-day, 18-hour session with more work to do on preserving the traditional definition of marriage. BOSTON -- The Massachusetts Legislature ended more than 18 hours of debate over two days early this morning without arriving at a decision on allowing their constituents to have a say in how marriage is defined in the Bay State. Lawmakers adjourned the constitutional convention that began Wednesday, during which time they were to consider the Marriage Affirmation and Protection Amendment, just after midnight without actually ever discussing that measure. In fact, liberals ensured the session ended in gridlock by launching a filibuster for the last hour of Thursday's debate. The convention is scheduled to reconvene March 11 to continue consideration of how best to answer last November's Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) ruling that denying homosexual couples marriage licenses violates the state constitution. Speaker of the House Thomas Finneran, considered an ally of pro-family activists on this issue, said it's not surprising a final resolution has yet to be reached. "No one should expect that decisions of this magnitude would be made casually or quickly," he said. "Our efforts will continue." But Ron Crews, president of the Massachusetts Family Institute and chief spokesman of the Coalition for Marriage, said he was "very disappointed" that lawmakers have at least temporarily ignored the thousands of people who have made it clear they want to vote to protect the traditional definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. "A lot of citizens are going to wake up (today) very upset because their legislators haven't done what they were elected to do," Crews told CitizenLink. "This was very clearly an attempt by the (Legislature's) leadership to prevent members of this body from voting on the 'Ma & Pa.' " Not only was the 'Ma & Pa' -- the colloquial name for the Marriage Affirmation and Protection Amendment -- not voted on, it wasn't even discussed. Instead, debate over the course of the convention's two days centered on four alternative proposals, three of which were voted down by slim majorities of the joint session of the House and Senate. Passage of amendment language would be the first step to a statewide ballot question in 2006. Each of the alternative measures mentioned in some fashion civil unions -- either explicitly creating them as the equivalent of traditional marriage in the constitution or noting that the Legislature could, at a later date, choose to enact them separately. Such efforts were designed to appease pro-gay pressure groups and lawmakers who support special rights for homosexuals, who contended that the Ma & Pa, by simply restricting marriage to the union of a man and a woman, would forever outlaw any legal recognition of same-sex unions by any other name. Two civil-unions proposals -- one from Finneran (which said the Legislature would consider such arrangements at a later date) and one from Senate President Robert Travaglini (which would have created civil unions in the constitution), were defeated Wednesday; a third, from Rep. Philip Travis, the sponsor of the 'Ma & Pa,' was defeated 103-96 on Thursday. Ironically enough, homosexual activist groups opposed all three proposals, arguing that anything less than full marital rights left them as victims of discrimination. Travis, whose compromise proposal simply would have said that nothing in the bill would "require or prohibit civil unions in Massachusetts," grew increasingly frustrated as Thursday wore on and it became clear his colleagues were moving toward adjournment without agreeing to put any measure before the voters. "I will not you get off the hook on the question of marriage," he vowed in a speech from the floor of the House chamber. "You will not escape the wrath of the general public. You will not be able to face them when you go back home." The only constituents lawmakers had to face inside the State House, in the immediate wake of their vote to adjourn, was a throng of nearly 200 homosexual activists who spent the majority of the day Thursday clogging the main hallway outside the House chamber while chanting slogans like "No Discrimination" and singing such songs as "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "This Land is Your Land." Pro-family activists, who gathered in impressive numbers Wednesday, were in short supply Thursday -- their absence explained by one protest organization as a function of their only being able to take one day off of work to monitor the proceedings. A handful prayed quietly in the State House basement. Had they been paying attention to the chaos upstairs, much of what they would have heard would have surely upset them. Lawmakers favoring full marriage rights for homosexuals chewed up the lion's share of Thursday's debate time, equating the denial of such rights to everything from the enslavement of blacks to the policies of Nazi Germany to the moral milieu of the novel "The Scarlet Letter." An openly lesbian representative philosophized on how marriage, historically, has been an "evolutionary creation." And another gay-marriage supporter questioned the wisdom of letting the people vote on such an emotionally charged issue, noting that when Pontius Pilate tried that approach the people demanded he free Barabbas instead of Jesus. But I'm not even supposed to say His name to you in here." When Parente and her colleagues reconvene the constitutional convention next month, the matter before them will be a fourth civil-unions compromise measure, one that establishes such arrangements as providing "entirely the same benefits, protections, rights and responsibilities that are afforded to couples married under Massachusetts law." That's language the Coalition for Marriage cannot support, Crews said, although he added he has some hope Travis' original amendment might still be heard. "We now have a recorded vote on this matter, so we know a little better now who is with us and who we need to talk to," he said. "We have some work to do over the next month, but I believe that this will be a wake-up call to some people out there who are concerned about the family." TAKE ACTION: It is more important than ever that the members of the Massachusetts Legislature here from Bay State residents about the importance of preserving the traditional definition of marriage. 1) Call and e-mail Massachusetts state lawmakers and tell them to let the people vote on the Marriage Affirmation and Protection Amendment. If you live in Massachusetts, you can compose an e-mail that will be sent to your members of the Legislature at: http://capwiz.com/fof/mail/oneclick_compose/?alertid=4194006 All Americans, though, have a stake in this issue, because if the court's decision stands, homosexual couples from any state who receive marriage licenses in Massachusetts could demand that their home states recognize those so-called marriages. So, no matter where you live, if you want to send e-mail to Massachusetts lawmakers. You can do that at: http://www.family.org/cforum/feature/A0028893.cfm You will be taken to a list of e-mail addresses you can copy and paste into an e-mail, allowing you to reach every legislator with one e-mail. Additionally, Massachusetts residents and all Americans should also call the state's lawmakers. To reach a lawmaker's Capitol office, call the Capitol switchboard at 617-722-2000 and ask for the senator or representative by name. You can find district office phone numbers at: http://www.family.org/cforum/feature/A0028892.cfm 2) You also can contact your U.S. congressman and senators and urge them to support a marriage-protection amendment to the U.S. Constitution. For complete information about the Federal Marriage Amendment, including sample e-mails you can send to your elected officials in light of last Tuesday's court ruling in Massachusetts, please see the Stop Judicial Tyranny Action Center: http://www.family.org/cforum/judicial_tyra...tion.cfm?pt=fma =================== Gary Schneeberger Editor Pete Winn Associate Editor Trish Amason Editorial Coordinator Peter Brandt Director, Issues Response Tom Minnery Vice President, Public Policy Don Hodel President and CEO, Focus on the Family Dr. James C. 9. Trefor Im sorry our college boys do not go into combat . and they are often exempt from the draft . We do have types and nontypes but our process is one of the people and who speaks is one issue , as well as who is educated and yes who has the money . California just elected a movie star ! You have to be involved in your own community your own vote here we have to be informed. We listen to our voice and do our representitives, or things change. Sadly some are apathetic. I do not trust human judgements as a solutions to the countrys issues many of us refer to God for His will be done. this is what I believe is the essence of the American Sspirit and what will never die, it truly is In God we trust.
  10. 2027 I remeber data ! he was always concerned about having real feelings he was a robot . I remember always watching star trek my sister said the other day I have always made time in my life to watch that. they put it on in the middle of the night now but I still watch it! I have another one that I really like but am a closet watcher I remember being a tiny child and insisting my parents turn to oh Lord have mercy the Lawrence Welk show! In its day it really was a hip show even for an old persons show. I liked watching the dancers and now they do reruns on Sudays nights with commentary from all the people that danced and sang on it. i would always hurry up with the dishes to watch that show as a kid I was the only one who watched it and we only had one tv! haha and I like the reruns just as much it is a loving show and very happy very funny. but it was a secret . I must be getting old for real now cause I will admit to trying to watch it when I can , but funniest home video is on at the same time or a disney movie now so if Im watching I forget to look for it.
  11. Mark yep yep yep . I was watching one of the news shows with a huge big man who was in the NFL and was homosexual . He had a boyfriend the whole time but they had to keep it a secret he won one of the fancy rings (I do not do football excuse my ignorance ) and his partner could not be at the ceremony, they could not talk on the cell phone afraid someone would over hear. Why? he said he had no doubt an "accident" playing the game would take him out of the game forever if his team mates found out . He would get hurt badly. this dude was as mucho as they come a NFL player big tough man , he frankly said he kept his relationship with his boyfriend a secret because he was convinced the other players would hurt him in some way .
  12. yep Trefor and I made a little edit in my above post to gree with it on some other fronts. America is what America is as for me who is all I am I vote my own personal convictions and beliefs that is all anyone can do. I do not think the pope is nearly as strong as he is in Europe not any more we seem to be going the way of money but Trefor Im sorry that is the way of the world not just America. I agree with the turnout and just who votes completly that is why I scream the way I do about it .
  13. I am not blaming anyone Trefor . but it would be an additional problem in divorce court that the tax payer pays for. I said in a practical sense. I do not think your really understand what freedom means Trefor, Im not trying to insult you I just do not think someone who has never been American or studied our process gets how it works very well. The voice of America is in its people Trefor I know you do not agree on this topic we as a people have not decided and actualy we have due process here and laws , people can speak freely here regardless of the political machine that is how the machine works! we have states and representitives that are voted into office. As far as religous feeling goes that is my own vote , we have freedom of religon as well and every can vote as they feel is right or wrong. People vote for what they feel is right and wrong not by religous faiths but I believe in this particular issue Gods scripture will be used as a base line for reasoning. the bible is still respected by many in this country and used to make decisions for our life and God is quite clear on this subject. this will feed into the votes of the people by the people. Trefor listen I hear ya when you say they want to be normal. but being allowed to marry will not erase the issues faced by homosexuals. Again America is very very differnt from Europe in many respects as far as who has say so and power and yes voice. Blacks have been free for many years now and yet we still struggle with a type of deep set racism Europe has never seen or felt . We have had to continue Actions by law to insure they get their rights on equal terms as whites a certain % by law I said law must be allowed access to higher education and jobs and the companies and schools have no choice but to comply . How many years later? and that is a skin issue not a behaviour that some can claim God Almighty says is wrong. It would be nice to think in a dreamy world of we are normal because we are married but America is not so easy when it comes to foundational change in our minds . Roe Vs Wade is still being contested see we have a majority that speaks and the portion that listens to it. Being allowed to marry legaly will not allow them to be "normal" in many eyes Trefor. The many things that do not allow them to feel normal will continue regardless of what the law may say . [This message was edited by mj412 on February 16, 2004 at 19:02.] [This message was edited by mj412 on February 16, 2004 at 19:15.]
  14. Since you said please I will answer your questions , what a polite couple of guys you sound to be how refreshing! Will same-sex marriages really cause the collapse of America? My answer : no of course not do not be too silly, a couple of queers having some fun will never ruin America so sorry boys you only dream you have that kind of wishing from your own throne YET the ruin of sin is firmly in the hands of Jesus Christ . Can anyone really out-legislate Mother Nature ( who is she exactly?) and tell people whom they can and can not love? Sex and love are two different matters are they not ? God is Love and God can say his Choice on who we are to have sex with or not and homosexuals are not allowed , and hetrosexuals can only do it while married... I think God might know your mother He will let her know clearly. how does recognition of same sex marriages "take away" from what everyone eles has? The recognition of Gay marriages erodes our constitution and family values on which this Country was built strong . But on a practical level who needs more divorce court on the tax system? If you guys want to compare the problems hetros to homo being married maybe just maybe you can come up with some of the millions of everyday families working and striving and doing all they can to live while happily married in an honored institution since the beginning of mankind. but no point fingers at the movie stars and those in the lime light and use them as examples lol now come on does that sound just a tad dramatic ? you feel responsible for impending disasters? gee that is a rough way to face the day isnt it? have you looked into anti-anxiety meds?
  15. Mr. Lingo see not for nothing but I might be a guy! lol actualy im a deck of cards with a winning hand! now saying things like that might make Mrs Lingo suspect what your doing on the puter for a reason. yes Trefor gay people are able to have the same rights as any other citizen why are you sugesting I am saying anything different? Because they can not leagaly marry does not make them less of a citizen or unable to vote or be protected by our MIlitary . I do not hate you either Trefor. As much as that would make it easier for you to understand and point fingers at my "wrongness". Your the one full of accusation when faced with the truth not me. I just stick to the facts of our country and keep the pity trips and emotional pleas where they belong , I do not twist ones words into something they are not . I am a bit of a realist not a dreamer of what could be . I like what we have and look to my country for it to be proven as worthy to be called the land of the free. Will we ever stop growing and changing or becoming stronger as a nation ? I pray not many of us do. [This message was edited by mj412 on February 16, 2004 at 14:21.]
  16. If I was homosexual I wouldnt live a lie and pretend to be something im not to join the service . Silence and inability to be true to who you are is why so many homsexuals are afraid to come out of the closet in the first place, I do not think it helps for a healthy or happy life to lie if not to anyone but yourself. Your soldiers take orders from your commanders ours ours, Seperate totaly. Yes of course they work as far as the war planning goes but who does what is by divisionor battalion (ask somonewho has served about the way they group our soldiersand the terms they yse) and the countries keep their own together of course. WE deploy our own together and they follow the commands together they fight with their own units as does England. they share in the war effort Trefor not in command. big difference.
  17. this is American policy Jesus freaky. not mine . And being as such your scene of only a gay person left on the battlefield and yourself can never happen unless the homosexual is unwilling to be a liar. As far as condeming people I stated in earlier posts I do not condem nor do i blame homosexuals for the degrading of the family unit. if you read my earlier posts you will see we are in much agreement.
  18. I doubt anyone will agree . But I think Star Trek is a cool show. fantasy future with very cool aliens. it is about a group being stuck together on a ship for a very long time maybe forever. the captain is a woman, and every player has a different culture and background . the Dr. is a computer program etc. loving ?? well they do have 'prime directive" that says no other culture or alien can be harmed in their mission to explore space.
  19. jonny Lingo I was kidding as well . lol I do not get so involved in these threads they make or break my day Jonny Lingo . I do not get angry or sad or so involved family members would suffer . it is the internet all in perspective ya know? Im not angry at you , why would you think that? your a sensitive guy but try not to assume too much about how I feel about any particular poster clearly I have loud enough fingers to state my feelings as much as any other ok?
  20. What makes Chiristians think peole want "deliverence" from who they are? I do not get that at all . Im a chirstian who smokes maybe I do not want deliverence from this filthy habit how is it another can tell me I should or should not want to change? I just do not see how people can be any different than who they are and that is mostly what they believe to be right for them . anything eles is a sales job. or an out right lie. twi taught christians to sell different ideals and thought patterns in what they considered wrong or right for all people because of a doctrine they sold . God is bigger than that, He loves each of His children and the Lord came to sinners of which we all happen to be . Jesus Christ delivers those who ask to be delivered in my opinion it is satan himself who forces his will on others. Jesus Christ is one who brings me peace not pointing and strife, which is what happens when someone tells another what is right or wrong for their life. no one is right , except God and no one is good except Jesus Christ why do people need to fuss at one another instead of loving one another? I know what is right for my life is not what is going to work in anothers , my standard , may be different, but until the Lord himself decides what is truly right or wrong for each of us and we chose to listen ,or not, are we not all in the same boat? I think it comes down to christians thinking those who do not believe in their God are worse or evil or less than themselves and for me that is about as anti- loving they can get. it is no wonder so many want any part of it. I do not believe God believes that theory as God is Love .
  21. It is true about the Simpsons being a show about a loving family with values. My son forced me to watch a few shows and I saw it , it is done in a entertainment kind of way that show Bart as a bit unmanagble but he loves his family and they love one another and they love the born again christians next door etc..it shows family as many see it in reality I think . But I still do not like the show . I thought my children could tho.
  22. you know johnny Lingo YOU started this @##@$% thread anytime you want to jump back in ! It made my feathers all up in a tussle . why did you stop posting got to rough for ya? Well now Trefor and who ever eles is calling me a hater as well, oh well I know WHO I love and who loves me .
