  1. John Hagee (i think thats his name) does lots of prophecy stuff. (which is probably all out of whack) but he was talking about the new pope being the 2nd to last one--i guess based on the Malachy guy. He has also said the Jews are starting to plan out re-building the temple.(Which i heard someone else say too.)

Anyway, this new pope gives me the heebee jeebees. But, at least you can e-mail him from the vatican's website--better than twit's website. No e-mail available there.

  2. Not too encouraging to me either...when John Paul II passed away the religious commentators for vatican city were saying that the new pope's name would say a lot. If he had went with Paul/John or John Paul he would have been making a statement that he intended to do a lot of what JP II did. The fact he chose something so different indicates he doesnt intend to follow JP II's example

  3. I have caught little bits of it. Those bits have been interesting. I don't think I could watch an entire episode of it though. I think the part I caught last week had the guy from Exodus Int'l misquoting a scripture as being from Galatians when it was from another epistle.

  4. Mr H and others,

Thanks for the input. I agree that "love your neighbor" has to be a part of Christ's doctrine. Remember when loyboy started defining "neighbor" as someone who was in twit world ONLY? I don't think there was any true love left by the 90's. It was all conditional. So, between that policy and loy's "designer causes"(all charities are worthless-give to twi only) thing, there was no giving to help anyone.

  5. Hi all. I was reading the deceptions thread in here and read 2 Jn 9. The phrase, "Christ's doctrine" got my attn. twit taught that what was in the Gospels was for our learning. But what other doctrine would Christ have besides what is recorded in the Gospels? (Except for a few quotes in Acts) What would you all define as Christ's doctrine? Wasn't sure if I should put this here or in "about the way."

  6. quote:
Without a doubt it was the fellowship. I was thinking to myself, at the time, that it was such a pity that something like TWI was needed. If the churches were doing their jobs properly, there wouldn't have been a need for something like TWI.

"I agree! Now a lot of churches do the small group thing"TWI IS obsolete!

  7. 3 cents,

Thanks for the laugh! I was frustrated and not thinking. I guess I was trying to ask if this problem was caused by waybrain only. Some rationalize everything with, "God will take care of it"

banghead.gif Is what I feel like doing because I have to push so hard to get anything taken care of and i honestly don't seem to have the energy/will to do it in every situation.

  8. Yay for egg hunts!! Hoppy Easter! Hey I about freaked in Wal-Mart the other day--I was roaming around and bumped into Resurrection Eggs! (Plastic eggs with diff items and a story about each one to help teach about Jesus and Easter.) Go figure

  9. He@@ no. I was so agitated and p/o'd about that poor little girl. Her family tucked her into bed after church and then this monster walks into her home and does that to her.. Yes it is incredible the "someone" heck he even confessed to it! and they still dont say it was him. What about the guy in Atlanta--people saw him kill that judge, had it on security camera etc and he is just the "suspected" killer

  10. Yep. Marriage counselling that involved reading the blue book.....throw in some Genesis .... That's all you need in twit world to "fix" things Oh and G-d forbid you talk to leadership about husband--puts the wife in immediate trouble

  11. Looking back it seemed like parents were expected to have robotic children--ones who were to obey first time every time. I believe children should listen to their parents, but do you think twi went too far? I saw some parents expect their children to jump and not even ask how high because that would mean they didn't obey immediately. Maybe my frustration from before is because parents didn't set their expectations based on the age of child. I have sat and watched a father yell at a child inches from the child's face in the same way martinfart would yell at the corpse. Then I feel guilty for not doing anything about it at the time.

  12. If you get married in a church and the couple promises before God and everyone else that they will honor, cherish, etc. If one or both parties do not do what they promised to do, does that negate their vows? How important is that piece of paper that says they are married if the marriage relationship is a sham? What say all?

  13. I've never really bothered to buy any. But I do remember the rants about how evil/tainted any lottery money would be. I believe lcm ranted about how most people who win big have their lives destroyed cuz of debil spirits attached to the money. Never heard any chapter and verse as to why that would be the case. go figure
