  1. Holy vs unholy mental aggravation!

I have been wrestling with "first thought"

since I first heard about it. It is like a mental curse.

Just yesterday I asked myself while driving out of

a parking lot, "which way is the fastest, right or left?"

    First thought was left

    Second thought was right

    third thought was sh**

    four thought was right

    so turned I right

    and got home safely anyway.

Wish to God I had never heard that TWI cult doctrine.

If you are in TWI get out now before your mind and heart get damaged anymore.

  2. Fax me some C.V.s to look at and lets invite some interviews.

Unless the Current BOT can show some

valid credentials, we won't invite them for interviews.

Although Rosie and Harvey do seem to have the inside track currently, they are lacking true leadership ability and there are too many known and unknown skeletons in their closets.

Head hunters should seek new candidates with a

willingness to take on the challenges associated

    legal problems.

    They should have good

    people and God comunication skills.

A new grad or Way disciple might prove capable

    in this regard.

  3. Well, over the years thru various local leaders,I had to ask permission if it was spiritually OK to "give" after I gave taxes to the IRS etc..

Then it became approved for WAYERS to calculate their greater than 10% ABS from actual takehome pay after state and federal withholdings.

Does TWI still do it that way?

I wonder how the Mormons do it...

How did you guys figure out how much you gave?

    Blindly?

    In conjunction with your wife?

    After the bills were paid?

Whatever was in your wallet at each meeting?

    or

"With fear that God would not even "spit" in your direction if you did not give more than 10%." L.C.M.

  4. Well said!

Don't forget the impact of ending spouse corps at that time.

I watched families get destroyed when the spouse

went into the corps for actual training.

Gave up careers for nothing but grief.

Sad revelations to be cohersed into

by men who were seriously amiss in their own walks.

  5. The former POW of TWI

    Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome

Bad Dreams are one major component of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

I have had my share of bad dreams and bad day dreams since leaving TWI.

More than flashbacks they are fears revisited.

Although TWI taught NO FEAR..... TWI promoted it

    in practice whole heartedly.

Find help from a professional if you need it. Don't be held captive by fear of anything or anybody.

GET OUT OF TWI NOW and take your loved ones with you.

  6. Lighten up you suggest... well just maybe

this article which I find demeaning... impling that God's agenda for His almighty angels is to function as a service organization such as traffic divison which does "molecular tricks" is too light.

Thank God His angels are mighty and active and protecting God's people.

And yes TWI articles were and are terribly dry and perhaps equally demeaning.

  7. Yes there are angels and I thank God for them.

    Yes they help people daily.

BUT my point is this article is titled

What the Bible says about angels.

So the author writes what he thinks......

In light of the truth that the primary God-given responsibility of angels is to minister to believers, my often-imaginative mind envisions the following scenario. Like chauffeurs outside a Manhattan theater hanging around their limousines and chatting with one another, so I think angels must do likewise outside a home or church where a fellowship of Christians is taking place.

Hold it—angels are spirit beings—how come the angel’s hand didn’t pass right through Peter? Because, as the Bible makes clear, angels know how to do what I call “the molecule trick.” 1 That is, they know how to arrange or re-arrange molecules into different forms, and thus can come into concretion in the form of people. When they do, they look like people, sound like people, and feel like people. They even eat (and it is obvious what to fix for them if any show up at your house). 2

Not only is it the biblical testimony that angels assist believers, but if you have spent much time around Christians, you have heard many accounts of “people” (actually Traffic Division angels) showing up out of nowhere to help them when they were stranded motorists—and then disappearing; others (Child Care Division) leading their lost children home—and then vanishing; others showing up as big, muscular men (Security Division) to scare off their attackers, either military or civilian.

This maybe extrapolated from believers stories of deliverance but the article lacks true biblical documentation and is presumputous.

  8. Somebody from CES who was in TWI writes some very wierd material to post on their website

but the article contains no author.

Anybody know who is the author?

    http://www.truthortradition.com//modules.p...article&sid=438

This angel article sounds so strange almost Morman-like in its content

with made up stories about how angels live among us.

What kind of biblical doctrine is that?

CES is too weird for me.

  9. I Tim 5:19-20

19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

How many of us were "railroaded" by TWI leadership dreaming up false accusations,

arranging a "confrontation" by bringing in supposed witnesses to listen to the accusations

and then agree with the TWI leader?

My wife and I were setup by Harve Platig.

The "witnesses" he provided had no concept of what he accused us of but after he was finished

with his supposed revelations, he asked for their opinion. And like good little wayfers

they followed his line of thinking.

    Devilish manipulation of peoples lives.

    Almost devastating our family.

Afterwards we searched the scripture and our hearts, communing with God, for weeks looking for answers and reported back only to be told usually under their appointed bizzare circumstances, living fearfully of the next phone call, "you missed the points" & "keep looking."

Finally we realized that it was a setup to gain total control over of us. I came to the conclusion that TWI doesn't want strong believers. If you resist their "abusive authority" they would rather you leave.

    5576 pseudomartureo {psyoo-dom-ar-too-reh'-o} • from 5575; TDNT - 4:513,564; v

    • AV - bear false witness 6; 6

    • 1) to utter falsehoods in giving testimony, to testify falsely, to bear false witness

    5661 Tense - Aorist (See 5777) Voice - Active (See 5784) Mood - Subjunctive (See 5792) Count - 512

As for the false witnesses, I guess they had no idea they were being used in that manner. But they should have known the scripture better and not allowed themselves to "witness" things they

had no such knowledge of. Especially since they did not exist except in some false preachers'

    mind and heart.

That is right Harvey, false preacher. WOE unto you preacher man for one day you will stand before God for the evil you have done to His people.

    So we left intact, fortunately...

    Any similar experiences?

  10. The authority over our lives we gave Way leader people was way too much.

It took me some time to figure out I was to take charge of my family and get out of TWI.

I did not give TWI the chance to offer my family

haven and only kick me out.

My last call made that perfectly clear.

No more TWI fellowship for my family.

My kids are very thankful we quit. Since leaving many stories have come up discribing stupid TWI leadership abuses.

    Shocking accusations and requests[nonsexual]

of their lives cause they were in some camps and some meetings that I did not attend over

    the years.

God delivered us from abusive uneducated mean leadership.

  11. So sorry for your Way Troubles.

    I had mine also.

Very sad how the WAy distorted the concept of

    "confrontation."

The biblical idea of confront before two or three witnesses was twisted to mean,

the leader figures out what is wrong with you

then gets a couple of his people to meet with you and confront you. Then they all agree to these findings even if the witnesses never

    witnessed anything of the sort.

The ruined believer is then left to figure out

what he did wrong and confess and be humble

to change. Which is then ignored by the leader

and you are sujected to further ridicule and denegration.

    You lose!

Or do you win cause you are then inspired to quit TWI.

Woe to the pastors that scatters the Lords flock
