I knew that of the magnificent 9, BG Leonard was still alive, even when VPW was still alive.

I also knew, living in Columbus, and close by, that VPW always invited different types of people to teach the Corps, and the corps was to rightly divide what they taught and throw out the error.

But I always wondered why VPW, who seemed to want his believer folks to walk in the power of God, never invited BG to teach on healing and the power of God. Even if some or a bunch of what he taught wasn't the Word, the corps could rightly divide it and gleam out the good stuff. I'm sure VPW knew that Leonard was performing miracles, even up to 1985.

My question is, Did Leonard have some knowledge of God's Word, that would have really helped us manifest God's Power more abundantly? Was VPW so out of fellowship with God (in a sin mode) that he could not see what Leonard saw in God's Word.

From what I'm hearing around here, when extwi believers take Leonards class, they seem to see the

"missing link" to walking in the power of God.

My take on the matter is that part of the absent Christ teaching and VPW's sinful life, we got tricked out of seeing how the pioneer and finisher of our faith healed people. We just got so tricked into hearing the same message, over and over again of what we have in Christ; but no real Word centered clear cut teaching on how the Master healer, Jesus, did it and how we can follow in his footsteps and example.

Now Dot, if you still have one, go get your blue book, "The Bible tells me so" and read chapter one, "Release from your prisons", in light of your last post.

Have been hearing this from believer all around the country.

Since leaving the way, we are being released from a heavy duty prison.

VPW said: "We must believe the Word of God which is truth and them we must know the Son who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. In following God's Word and in knowing His Son, we will not only be free, but we shall be free indeed."

We in the Way, never knew the Son.....

All I know is that when you willed and desired to see the power of God work in your life, you saw miracles, multiple times.

I knew you since your move to Columbus, Ohio

At times, you had the ability to out give any Way believer in Columbus.

At times, you would believe God for the impossible and see God bring it to past. I was there to see you do this, many times.

I have seen you give your car to a believer, so they could get to work; and you walked to work.

I have seen you pay your window cleaning employees the total income for that day; and you work for nothing, just because they had a need.

I know you went before a Kentucky judge, with the possible sentence of 75 years in jail; and you believed God to get only 5 years probation.

Oh God, remember the time we cleaned all the carpets in that believers house; and never asked for a dime.

Man, remember that time when you came up to me and said that God wanted us to each give Frank and Nancy an hundred bucks each; and we just did it.

Oh boy, remember when you and me painted that believers house for free, how blessed we got and that was a giant house too.

Shall I go on? There are tons more experiences you had, beliveing God, that I could talk about.

Roy, remember, please remember your kind works and labour of love that you performed over the years; and never asked for glory or at times, even a thank you.

Today, it is your day to receive!!!!!

Please, instead of trying to be knowlegable in every catagory of the Word of God, please get into the four gospels and see, and I mean let God open your eyes to see what the Lord Jesus Christ did for you, so you can be even as the man that Jesus Christ said, "had the greatest faith (trust, confidence, believing) in all of Isreal."

That man that said to Jesus: "Just say the word"

and the healing will take place.

Roy, please read of how Jesus healed the sick, the depressed, the down hearted. Really see how he did it and then be like those folks that came to Jesus; and with their type of heart and desire, claim and demand your healing.

IMHO, this stuff happens in families of all faiths, business's, mixed faith families, and rank unbelieving famillies. It's the same old story.

My recent experience is with my sister, 49 years old, single mom with a 18 year old daughter.

She gets AML, is now going for the stem cell transplant, (for the cure) and she is now inbetween insurance policies taking effect.

For three months, she will be without any income.

Then in Jan. 2004, social security kicks in.

How does our family, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc handle it? (just the finanes for this 3 month period)???

They all get together with my sisters precious 18 year old daughter and individually take their turns screaming, hollering, and demanding that she quit school, get a third job, move back home; and pay all her mothers bills.

Not even one discussion on how the so-called adults (in their 40's, 50's, and older) should handle the situation.

And to top it all off, my sister is constantly telling the relatives to "Trust in God"; and she is getting blown off as a raving idiot. Even when they are seeing miracles (in the financial realm happen in front of their very eyes) ei. Checks from unknown people being sent to my sister, Business's settling old debts with my sister and sending unexpected checks in the mail.

Man, it's all about the money, in every walk of life. TWI is no different.

Talk about backing off on stated committments.

When my sister got the word of AML, a family member inwhom my sister rents one of their properties, stated that everything would be OK. My sister could live rent free until she got back to work.

A month later the new command was: "You need to pay the rent". The following week, the command was: "You have to absolutely pay the rent".

Same old story: When the tough times come, people can really show their TRUE COLORS, their REAL

CHARACTER.

TWI, you just showed me and the whole world what you are really made of.....and twice establishes it.

Maybe one of our Greasespot cafe literary types can answer this for me.

I may stand to be corrected, but I believe the only book that VPW wrote, inwhich he later published a editionrevision, where he actually added more material to the manuscript was the second edition of "Jesus Christ is Not God". He added a chapter or appendix about a figure of speech in John 1, plus changed from 50 to 68 the number of times that the phrase "Son of God" is used in the bible.

It seems that all the further editionsrevisions of VPW's books just made minor sentence revisions, added a sentence, subtracted a sentence, synonymic revisions of words, etc.

My question is, as the ministry began to grow in the USA and worldwide, with more exposure of his works, did VPW possibly sense that he could be found out, thus he began to change some explicit plagirized sentences, even paragraphs, to save his A$$?

My other question is in the normal world of literary endeavors, when authors publish new editionsrevisions, do they do basically the same things VPW did or do they normally add more material to their work? I know they probalbly make corrections in spelling, correct errors, etc; but reword a sentence, take out a sentence, change a word?

It has ben mentioned that VPW's earlier works reeked with plagiarism; and as time went by and editionsrevisions increased, the dirty deeds became less apparent.

Way back in 1975, with the help of Hayes Gahagan (the state senator from Maine, who took the PFAL class) and the Way National prison outreach coordinator (forgot his name) worked a deal with the State of Maine to have PFAL grads go into the Maine prison system and undershepard prisoners and run PFAL classes.

At the time, 90% of parolees returned to prison (National average)

According to the way, if they were PFAL grads, only 3% returned to prison.

It caught the governors eye.

BUT, at the last minute, the governor cancelled the deal.

VPW was ....ed. Hayes was ....ed.

Then the word we got was that VPW said the governor canned the deal because he was wrong seed.

I can't believe I remembered that. It was 27 years ago.

This is recent folks.

Last week a innie called an outie and invited them to dinner. The outie-exwaycorps.

No ministry stuff was mentioned at the dinner.

Yesterday, a innie of 39 years called an outie and asked if they wanted to get together at a non-ministry related function. Outtie said OK.

In the phone conversation, yesterday, the innie mentioned feeling sad about all the the way believers that "pulled out of the ministry".

Outtie quickly mentioned that the majority, including the outtie were kicked out for minor reasons. Innie knew almost nothing about the real reasons believers were kicked out; and even mentioned another outtie who "pulled out" because, according to innie, they wanted to buy a house. Outtie than stated that that was incorrect. They left because of the lawsuits.

I think that many innies are getting lonesome and making contact with outties is OK. But the innies

are not being told the truth as to the reasons they left or were kicked out.

I was blessed to hear that this outtie had the courage to confront the innie on their error and misinformation.

This wonderful outtie was treated like a terrorist by the way ministry, kicked out for no reason and not allowed to even talk to a way believer. This outtie has recovered miracliously from this spiritual abuse and had the love for these way believers to talk and reason with them.

I heard VPW say it 62 times.....

"Over 900 promises", in the Old Testament.

At our last meeting EVER, call it our excommunication-take a vacation meeting with our new area leader, he stated an outright lie. My wife and I, with all the love of God in our hearts, tried, by stating that he had forgotten what he said, then saying he misunderstood what he said, then showing him a copy of the statements he made. (IN WRITING)

The son of a b-tch still denied it.

One and a half years later, we were told by a corps grad, who was at the area leaders excommunication-take a vacation meeting, that the Way ministry fired him for:

"MAKING DEVILISH DECISIONS CONCERNING BELIEVERS LIVES"

In 18 months this guy DESTROYED THE AREA.

AND THE WAY INTERNATIONAL "DID NOTHING" TO CORRECT THIS FIRED EMPLOYEES MISTAKES.

Services will be held at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6977 North High Street, in Worthington, Ohio 43085 at 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, November 7th and 10:00 am on Saturday, November 9th, 2002.

I knew Glenn for 19 years. It was a great privledge to know this gentle, kind, faithful Son of God. He was 85 years old. Glenn was a member of the Spiritual 75 club, back in the old days when VPW set up the club to bring Men of God, like George Lamsa and Bishop K.C. Pillai to New Knoxville to teach them the Word. VPW and Glenn were both born in 1916.

Update 11-09-02

Rev. Shroyer led the memorial service; and at the grave site, three U.S. Marines were present. Dorothy was given the U.S. Flag and thanks from the President of the United States and the U.S. Marine Corps for Glenns service to his country.

God rest his soul.

I met him at the 1975 rock, in the POWOW meetings with Jim Doop. We traveled together to Orono, Maine. We stopped in NYC at his apartment so he could pick up his clothes for the harsh winters in Maine.

I'll never forget the incident on the trip to Maine. We were packing the cars in Lima, Ohio for the long trip. I was picked to be the travel leader for the caravan of cars. Hell, I was a baby christian and very nervous; so I asked the group who was an advanced class grad. Jim raised his hand. I then reassigned him as the leader. He was a great leader, calm, cool and collected.

I went to Bangor, Jim went to very northern tip of Maine with three other wild and crazy guys.

Of the 48 Powow ambassadors, Jim and his group were the first to start a PFAL class, all girls, dontchano.

During that year, one of Jims powow brothers, the cowboy, was killed in a car crash. Jim did an outstanding job handling that situation.

Jim was a great spiritual experimenter. He told me he even was a moonie, for a short while; but when he heard of Gods love, he grabed it and never let go.

May all Jims family be comforted with the comfort of God.

Prescious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. A costly loss.

Were in South Bend, IN. Are they still there or taken new Corps assignment?

Did Rick have a window cleaning business in Columbus, late 80's, early 90's?

If so, this Rick moved to Florida.

In the 1989-94 era, when the way was hurtin' for corp candidates, you think they would have been

a-little-sweet.

In my experience, as soon as they found out you wanted to go in the corps, they got their claws out, and showed their true colors.

It was obvious, right in your face, as soon as you sent in the application, you immediately became a flawed believer, who THEY were gonna straighten out.

SO glad we wrote um back and said: Thanks, but no thanks!!!

This became the biginning of the end for us.
