Somehow people can ruin the most amazing things for themselves. God's Word is the most important thing we have in this world. Anyone diligently working it gets the nod from me. The Way does this and so do other organizations. For me The Way is the greatest thing in my life.

You don't need a scholar to tell you that "children obey your parents" is right. You don't need a piece of paper from a worldly institution to certify every bit of knowledge in your head. Living,studying, and applying the Word isn't as arduous as you seem to want it to be. Only when the Word contradicts itself does it need to be researched deeper. Everything the Word says if for your benefit. Why would you question something like "I can do all things"? The Word energizes your actions. I feel amazing and excellent with the Word in my mind. Would you rather I believe that I'm not special? Just another life form waiting to die? Or may you would have children believe they shouldn't obey there parents? The Word is common sense. Lot's of people just want to slander The Way, so they make stuff up to win supporters. I have no idea how I would act if something like that happened to family because it hasn't. I wouldn't murder or destroy for revenge I know that. I have forgiven people who have seriously wronged me. It felt good.

That's a loud whistle your blowing, Geisha. SOWER you should make whatever decisions in life you see fit and if it means stay in The Way - Then do it! Their will always be people telling you what to do, and they all say different things. What you choose to do and think each moment will determine your quality of life.

So you meant to say that specifically VPW and Martindale engaged on Troilism? I think lots of the stories on this website about things of that nature are made up and there's motif for them to do so. Even if some of the stories are true, it doesn't really effect my working and applying the Word in my life. As I've said a few times already, man isn't perfect. In the world people tend to remember the worst things about a person. I like to focus on the positive.

Only a few posts in this thread seem genuine in their interest of me and my experiences in The Way. The rest are provocative attempts to slant my life choices. Furthermore, almost all the posts have a negative underlying tone. Are you trying to change me? Put me down? Or do you wanna discuss something particular? I'm willing to discuss things even smaller than the meaning of a single word like "deal" vs. "defeat". The lack of care for small details is a weakness. But you could always just dismiss yourself from the torture of this thread. ;)

Well we live in "these days" not when you were growing up. Why refuse to come to terms with reality? You don't have to stay stuck in error. No offence intended, just constructive criticism. You are in my "welcoming" thread, after all.

OK, you deal with the adversary in your life, I'll defeat him in mine. It's a semantics game now. I only find that "dealing" leaves more room for misunderstanding than "defeating" does. "Deal" has many definitions, "defeat" does not. You claim to use logic, but you'd rather use a word that is easily misunderstood? What gives?

"INSANE" That's far fetched. You choose what your standard in life is. I find scripture to be comforting and soothing. I use logic to solve all my problems. Sometimes its as simple as "pride goeth before a fall" or "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of thy mouth, but rather that which is good to the use of edifying". In chess your constantly solving problems that require logic and strategy (Considering angles.). Yet even in chess I've thought of scripture that pertains to peace.

Dealing does imply tolerance. Dealing with a crying child...We don't defeat the crying child.

It's OK, I plan on taking the "Defeating the Adversary" class, which is the new more appropriate named and updated version. Because we don't "deal" with the S.O.B. Excuse my language. :D

Weather or not you entertain thoughts of temptation is a constant fight. I think we agree on this.

During that portion of the class, the context was entirely "How the Adversary Operates". We cannot have a downfall,like Adam and Eve, according to the Word, only a less abundant life, because Christ died for us; our sins are already paid for and because of the administration we live in we're afforded grace. Death has been defeated.

Administrations is covered too. I'm not aware and don't see how that's relevant to weather it's Truth or not. Even stolen money is spendable..

"TWI has the only truth!" You accuse me of idolatry! Many people in the world non-Way related seek the Truth via working the Word. I don't believe in any infallible organization or man to be alive or running. People on this forum make references to them all the time. PEOPLE in this forum are some of the greatest minds of our day pursuing Truth, yet, ofc, some shun the very word "Truth", I've noticed.
