  2. May I chime in...? We home educate (HE) our three children aged 9, 6 & 5 but not in the US. This is our third year. Yes, there are pro's and con's to everything. We have found that although there is far more work and far more expense, there is also far more satisfaction. Every time I wonder about whether we are doing the right thing, I hear something that confirms that we are. The reports from other HE'rs alone are enough. If I gave 15 years of my life to an educational facility to come out not being able to read, write, communicate etc... not knowing where to go or what to do like most of those graduating high school in our country (a so called advanced nation) I would not be very satisfied. Not to mention (but mentioning) the uncontrolled bullying & intimidation, both mental & physical, the state brainwashing in PC behaviour. Therefore I believe that our children with a some guidance and direction can make better use of that time. There are many views on education techniques: For example, the education systems as we know them are relatively new. Also, it is a proven fact that the least effective method of learning is by sitting and listening to lectures. Hands on is one of the most effective. Using this simple fact we try to expose our children to as many experiences as possible. No, but I guess you got the point. :D--> So, its all clear now, thanks for explaining that for us....I guess its just a nice book after all and doesn't really pertain to all life and Godliness then. Hmmm The truth is hard to stomach to those who don't want to hear it. Thats a good one...The Bible is neutral on homosexuality. You sayin God allowed all those Sodomites to be killed because they weren't hospitable. Damn, I better remember that. I guess the Word is not neutral on that then! You carry on advertising your ways, or should I say "opinions" and rationalisations, or is it research, but I have wasted enough pearls. Have a nice day (being hospitable :D-->)

  6. You don’t seem to have learned from your TWI experience that Gods Word IS forever whether you like it or not and whether you “adulterate” it or not. Please do not assume I assumed. You can do as much research as you like, but how many “researchers” agree with you? Research is no guarantee for truth! There are lies, damn lies and research! You stand approved (or not) by RIGHTLY dividing the Word of truth…remember? …that’s the Word of God, not TWI. Of course you can always have as many dividing’s of that verse as you want, but I can not talk myself out of ONE right dividing. Like I used to say when I was an innie; “If God agrees with so many contradicting beliefs, then He must be more confused than the lot of us!” If there is no right dividing, there is no truth, thus, we are all right and we are all are as God, writing our own books of truth. I am sure if this is your belief your conscience will not condemn you, but since when is your conscience the measure of Truth? Q. If the truth is not in there, how will it condemn you when you are wrong? A. It will condemn you not. Oh yes, the Adversary, if you still believe that he is real and not just figurative, is out to counterfeit the Truth. I would say that an unbelievers “marriage” is the counterfeit, a “gay marriage”, well… Now, I am sure you will be happy to hear, I really am S’ingTFU. I do not have the last word on the subject but I know someone who does. We’ll see at the Return. 10-4 :P-->
  7. Congrats Psalm71 and Happy Birthday Isaac from another Home Ed'ing family. We have only been doing it for two years. So much more work, but so much more fun too! :D--> Our eldest is 9 this year. Looks like we'll have a whole basketball team soon!
  8. Sorry, lost me on the "spending your own truth" bit. Must say though, you do have a good point about Sodom & gomorrah. Maybe it should be called "hospitalised" in stead of "sodomised". Can't says I can take it much further than that though. Anyway, I am unable to comment on what does or does not influence your personal research as I do not know you from Adam (or Eve). However I would like to draw on an excellent bit of script writing in saying "what we do in life, echoe's in eternity". So now, taking Mr P-M's advice, I will now STFU. TTFN :)--> BTW, Not Cymru am Byth but Gair Duw am Byth! Literal according to usage: Not Wales forever but God's Word forever!

Or do we just chooce the 'truth' that most suits our 'lifestyle'? Has God changed His mind then since Soddom, etc etc? Hmmm, I'd say there's more than one man profiting from their interpretation. The one thing I did learn from my experience with this institution is that there IS Truth, whether or not we want to accept it. I have gained enough respect for 'the thing' to not change it to suit my own ends. ...and if thats religion, then I haven't seen too much of it around! Snow -->

I believe if we trawl back to the origin of the concept of marriage, we will no doubt find that marriage was introduced by God for His people. 1Cr 7:2 Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. If you want homosexual marriages you have to change more than a few words in God’s Word! …and who’s going to be the wife? It all gets a bit too complicated when you move away from the Word. 1Cr 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. Marriage is spiritual commitment for a man and woman who believe God’s Word with the above exception where the “unbelieving” is sanctified by the believer. Yes, most of the world’s population has adopted monogamy as a good idea. They have even made it a legal issue. Doubt you got a legal and binding contract in the first century? Point is, if you want a piece of paper to demonstrate your “commitment”, carry on! You can call it “marriage”, you can call it partnering, you can call it whatever you like. You can get your legal goodies, but you only get God’s blessing on a genuine marriage by believing His Word. The impression I got when I last read the Word was that God didn’t seem to be too much in favour of homosexuality… God who is the searcher of all hearts is not interested in titles. He is interested in Truth. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free… not a licence! IMHO :)-->
