  1. I haven't been here for awhile, but this is where I met Ted Ferrell, the love of my life.  He was giving away his music and said that "you probably have "One More Time With Ted," but I have these other albums that I have.  I told him that I didn't have One More Time, and could I have that one, too.  That was always a standing joke between us, that I only asked for One More Time, but got a lifetime.   The lifetime that I got with Ted was too short; only 11 1/2 years.

I was with him, holding his hand, talking to him, and playing his music to him, when my husband took his last breath.    The song, Ready to Go was playing.

  2. I saw a clip on Fox's 24 web site and it was hinting that Tony may not be dead after all. Right now, Jack needs his help, after all, look what Jack did to help Tony's mental state on Day 4.

What I'm wondering about is the Prez. Throughout the years, they have always taken a definate stance on NOT negotiating with terrorists, and he's bending to everything that Fayed brings to the table! Also, in hour 1, they kept talking about the high price that the US paid the Chinese to get Jack back. Wonder what that was.

  3. Did you see the discription of the 1st episode? It says President Wayne Palmer!! BTW, did anybody else notice that after Palmer died last season that nobody mentioned the kids? The same when Sherri died. They haven't been mentioned since season one.

  4. Hiway29,

a hit (mainly in Europe) by a 15 year old teenager I do believe. She still sings, has her own web page and is less than 2 months older than I am. So question is... what year did this tune hit the airways???

Don't remember the year, but don't go skiing with her!

  5. Here we go, get ready. Columbus is now the No. 3 city in the Nation - in having the most drunks. We are only behind Milwaukee, and I forget the other city - it too is in the midwest.

....because you're not quite sober??

  6. (This ranting brought to you by The First Church and Society of THE!, and its Founder, Rafael Olmeda, who secretly loves *pineapple pizza*, but is afraid to come out of the Pizza Hut closet.)

    :biglaugh:

It's not that Rafael is afraid, as the founder of THE is not afraid of anything. It's that he loves Pineapple Pizza, but he just doesn't know it.

    ;)

  7. 80-85 mph winds....

Getting my Hurricaine Disaster List going..

    1 bottle of wine

    Artichoke dip

Brie cheese baked in puff pastry

    a deck of cards..heehee

lots of candles and stored delights..

You've made a mistake there. You only have 1 bottle of wine. What good is that for a hurricane party!

Lifted, help me out on this:

I've seen hurricanes. I've lived through hurricanes. That pic is no hurricane.

Raf, according to the properties of the pic, that was Isabel.

  8. Sudo,

I actually sorta liked "Mr. Wizard". Well, sorta. I mean, I wasn't on the edge of my chair waiting for it to come on, but it beat "Fury" or "Sky King" by a mile. Did you know that Mr. Wizard just passed away a week or two ago?

And "Pee Wee" Herman always creeped me out, from the first time I saw the guy. There's something inherently unhealthy about that boy. Trust me on this one, STAY AWAY!

Well, I liked Fury and Sky King (and his niece Penny).

BTW, Pee Wee Herman's kid show is coming back on the Cartoon Network!!

Pee-Wee Herman's 'Playhouse' back on TV

  9. I have seen phone bills with as many as 6000 minutes a month on them. If you're talking that much, how do you have any time to do anything to talk to someone else about? In other words, some people have no life.

Those people are called teens. :biglaugh:

  10. Yo - Socks - Tower of Power - now there's a hefty group! I remember an old concert at Fillmore East - Mountain, Tower of Power and Mylon LeFevre and Holy Smoke...Have you ever heard Mylon's tune "We Believe that Peace begins within" ? - man oh man it's smokin' :spy:

Mylong LeFevre comes to our small church about once a year (He's a friend of the pastor). He's awesome!
