Praise--I have to share this

I was searching the net when I came across this website. I did not post for a few months because I was waiting for "approval to join". One day I meandered back and found out I could post! The rest is history.

I wanted to praise God for an answered prayer. Some of you have said you became members of Presby, Lutheran, and other such churches. I would have never considered that possibility! We tried AOG, COG, nondenom churches because we were looking for a wholesome doctrine, great worship and fellowship.

Odd, but here in AZ the churches we thought would be ideal candidates were sorely lacking either in the overbearing-ness of a pastor, weak fellowship or other things that were compromised.

I want to say "bless ya" to the person who said they'd prayed over the phone book when they were searching. After being frustrated and lonely for 4 years (one couple here had been looking for 10 years!),I thought about a Presby church. Well we visited there, and I prayed that it would be a right fit and my husband and daughter would like it.

Wow,the pastor not only taught about James 1 trials and temptations, but at sunday school it became a bible study as well! Not many kids there, but Ashley our daughter really liked it!

I'd talked to the pastor on the phone and I liked him without meeting him. Well we met him today. There is a potluck every month, womens and men's groups, HOME bible studies as well. All with a group of less than 100 people!! I believe our search is over.

Too cool, Jan. God is still in the business of answering prayers.

For so long, most of us TOLD God what to do with our lives....wrong... I now ASK God to do His will in my life and I trust that He will, because I am asking Him. He knows the future, we dont.

My life is so much more peaceful than it was when I was in twi, for so many reasons, but just being able to TRUST in HIM and LET HIM do the directing and guiding is a weight off my shoulders.
