  1. It kind of depends on what you are looking for, but in Kansas City my first stop would be the International House of Prayer. Say hi to Gary and Jill Kennedy for me (John Cavanaugh, Eureka CA.) while you are there. They ran the healing room here in my area a couple of years ago.

What you are going to find there is people who believe in the power of God and the move of the holy spirit. A-G type. I'm sure that if you tell them what you are looking for, you will get an honest opinion.

  2. I don't know so much about lyme, but I suspect that it would have manifested long ago if it were from your childhood. Don't get your panties in a bunch. You are going to be fine. You may need to watch your diet a bit, though. Let us know what the tests show.

    I'm still praying.

  3. I've wondered if Joyce might also have some twi roots. I'veherad her interpret hero own tongue, and then quote vpw (without credits) afterwords.

To be "slain in the spirit" I believe is sometimes genuine, but is often just to make oneself look spiritual. Vpw had the wrong idea, and "slain in the spirit" is a pour discription of what it really is. Some people call it resting in the spirit. I think that to be more accurate.

This has never happened to me, but it has happened to my wife. (I do catch) Sharon discribes it as being overwhelmed by the presence of the Lord, but still fully aware of her surroundings, and if she was kicked, she'd sit up.

    The blankets are for modesty.

  4. This is the same dangerous (in my opinion) stance that was taken in TWI.

TWI refused to acknowledge that, although depression can be a temporary state brought on by circumstances, it is frequently the result of actual chemical imbalances in the brain. Removing "negatives" from the person's life( ie:finding root "issues") has no effect on this type of depression. In fact, you may be doing the person great harm by denying them the treatment they require.

Now, I didn't say to deny them medical treetment. Inner healing will often happen while a person is being treated with medicine. After a period of ministering one may be lead to cut back some on the medicine and see how it goes, but to tell them ti stop completely and not go back would be to handle it inproperly.

And the devil spirit approach? Might as well just drill holes in the person's head so the evil spirits will have an escape route.
I'd always thought it odd how we called demons "devil spirits" because "demons" made them sound not a evil as they really are, yet we called the devil "the adversary" to amke him sound not as evil as he really is.
  5. How was the war fought in heaven?

Rev 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength.

Rev 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

I think it will be fought with words, but that's just speculation.

    Is masturbation a sin?

I think that it would be more as the end result of sin. The evil thing about it is that it causes a man to think himself less than he really is, because it diffinately is not a manly sin.

I believe that it can also become an addiction. If there is anyone who would like help with such an addiction, they can find it here: http://www.avenueresource.com/

Is there life other than us according to the bible (I seen a documentary that called "aliens and the bible" and it confused me)?

I don't believe so, but I understand that the Book of Mormon disagrees with the Bible on this subject.

  6. listen, suicide is the end result of severe deep depression...

if you see anyone you love severely depressed, you better get them to their doctor or to a hospital because it is an actual illness, like cancer, diabetes, which can affect our loved ones, in more self destructive ways than we care to imagine. there is help for the those who suffer suicide ideation.

I am a proponent of inner healing. Yes, depression can be corrected with medication, but the correction often removes also the high points of emotion, and just leaves the patient numb. Inner healing is the act of finding the root issues causing the depression, bringing them to the light and dealing with then properly.

This is different from psycology, as psycology deals only with the serface issues.

One problem is, as we have seen several testimonies thereof, that suicides can take place when there are no evident signs beforehand

If there is no evidence beforehand, then there is nothing that can be done. We all have a secret place in our soul where no man enters. With some people that place is larger than it is with others.

It would be awkward, but some of us might want to probe those who we love to find if there are pains that they do not let anyone else see.

    What pains do you hide?

  7. Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances (the Law) that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

    Does it matter?

1Cr 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Let's just say that it's not a good idea.

  8. And the "correct" translation would be---------------------???

The Greek word is "daimonizomai." The closest accurate translation would be "harassed by a devil."

To be possessed would be "katecho" or "huparchonta." Maybe even "heautou."

  9. One of the most despicable things taught in TWI was that suicide is caused by devil spirit possession.

Any of life's complex problems were always reduced to some idiotically simplistic explanation.

You say you are depressed?---devil spirit.

You say you have an alcohol problem?---devil spirit.

    You say have cancer?---devil spirit.

And on and on the list goes.

Possession is a mistranslation, but other than that, I believe they were correct is what they taught. The real problem was that they didn't do anything about it, nor did they know how. The only action they would take if any was to kick the victom out of the "ministry."

    (Green light revelation and all.)

  10. I'm not sure that there is a right thing to say, but Rom 3:25, 1 John 2:2 and 1 John 4:10 tell us that Jesus was the propitiation for our sins. That means past present and future. Some people believe that a suicide is condemned because they are unable to confess their sin. This would mean that salvation was by works.

Col 2:14 tells us that Jesus took the law to the cross with him and Rom 5:13 tells us that sin is not imputed when there is no law.

    Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

    Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

1Jo 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.

1Jo 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.

  11. I remember Mike talking about someone named "Fuzz" or "Fritz" or something like that. Do we have a lasr name for this person?

OK, so I did a word search on "Fuzz." Is the answer to my question "Pa****ne?"

Loooks liek I spelt "last" rong

  12. Yeah, I would have to say some of my most embarrassing moments were when I blindly put faith in someone or vouched for them simply because they were also members of twi. Like loaning some WOWs a set of furniture and kitchen items (dishes, glasses, etc) that I wasn't needing at the moment. At the end of the year when I went back to get my stuff, most of it had vanished. When I asked where it went they just sort of flustered about and gave me some mumbo jumbo about breakage. Yeah, cuz plastic dinnerware is SO fragile...

I loaned some furnature to some corps. When they left, they gave it all away. They gave a lamp to a friend of mine, and I said nothing until he decided to get rid of it, then I told him that it was actually mine.

  13. Rev 16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

If this is the result of global warming, it can't be stopped.
