What I mean is "garbage in-garbage out". You are what you eat-mentally as well. You are influenced by what you take in. The reason homosexuality is becoming accepted by our society is because we are being told by the media that it is ok. Secular tv and movies, newspaper articles, magazines all say that homosexuality is ok and people see and read all that crap all the time and start to agree with it. You spend lots of time with negative people and you will become negative. What you dwell on will rub off on you. That's why parents are concerned about who their kids run around with.

I also agree with Imblvr. Some secular music can be very inspiring. Also nothing wrong with a song that might touch our loneliness or emptyness etc. Dont want to hear songs that touch my naughtiness though. Anyone with insight can tell the difference between songs that are spiritually clean and those that are not. Never heard a Stones or Sabbath song that was spiritually clean.

Any music you listen to is definitely going to have an effect on the listener. Just as any food you eat is going to effect the eater. Being aware that a certain song is devilish dosent mean it won't affect you in a bad way. Being aware a certain food is bad for you dosent mean it wont effect you negatively when you eat it. You are what you eat-garbage in-garbage out. That is why I mostly don't listen to secular music. It dosent help me keep my mind focused on God. In fact it tends to do just the opposite. Then again, there is a big difference between the early Beatles music like "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "Let's Spend the Night Together" or just about anyting by the Stones or Black Sabbath.

I agree with you completely. It is all just conjecture and educated(?)guessing. I dont know how anyone would know for sure unless God revealed it to them for some reason.

To "sell out" to something means putting it first, kinda like worship. Like we are to put God first and worship Him. Some believe that Pete Rose worshipped himself and sought to be the greatest baseball player ever-at ANY cost. By selling his soul I meant selling it to the devil. Rose was a hero of mine for many years and I could see that his commitment to baseball was way over the top. Would never want my kid to worship a GAME.

I heard John Lennon was, and I definitely believe that. I grew up as a Beatles fan during Beatlemania. Guess I shouldn't say I believe it, should just say I believe it is possible. Heard the same of Paul McCartney, but have a little trouble believing that. Can also see Mick Jaggar and Pete Rose. Rose was my hero as a kid, but he definitely sold his soul to basball.

Seems like there were all kinds of celebrities who we were told were born of the wrong seed. There was never any proof. It was just "Limb leader so and so said Paul McCartney was a seed boy" etc. and so everyone just took it as "the truth". LOL
What did you hear along these lines? Some of the rumors were probably true!

After spending plenty of time reading thru the forums here, there is no way anyone in their right minds could justify staying in twi. No offense, Thomas. "in their right minds" is just a figure of speech. But really, how could anyone stay in when reading all these forums. I mean rampant adultry, sexual abuse, drunkeness, fornication, bad theology etc. It's a cult!

I'm not excusing the abuse the man committed. It was wrong and it was evil. But he also did some good things-as hard as it is to believe now.

BG Leonard never taught me anything. I've never even seen the man. But Dr Wierwelle taught me some great Bible. God called BG Leonard to do what he did and called Dr Weirwelle to do what he did. Guess BG Leonard did not have the vision that Wierwelle had to reach thousands. If it wasn't for Wierwelle thousands would not have the proof that they are born again by speaking in tongues. It is wrong to go on and on about what a person did wrong without mentioning the things the person did right.

U know I am proud I did what I did I had him arrested. but the cost was great.
It was not only about the Leaders giving orders it was about those willing to comply and how far they would go to please someone eles for what ever they got from it

I look at people who have the ability to see right from wrong from a human perspective a loving compassionate person would not lead others into torment and pain .
I took me 40 years of my life to realize some people are so selfish so selfimportant they can not have empathy or compassion for anyone eles .
How blind a person was is truly how used they were is the victims cry of relief yet I submit some dam well knew and didnt care at all it was about them and only them and what they thought would bring them honor, power and a name in the ministry.
We are used only as much as we allow others to use us.
If it was force and rape then the law could have and should have been involved.
Why someone would not meet justice with what is available with the laws today , has to do with the fact they also got something in return they felt was valuable at the time.
Rape is different than regret.
Maybe he did have sex with young girls but by the age of 18 girls know what sex is even if they had not participated in it personly.
Many girls are manipulated and it is wrong, but the blame game goes back to the parents not teaching the girl about sex or the girl thinking sex will bring her something it did not .
At any time they could have reached other sources outside of the way or I dare say even within by not complying and saying no.
If you continue to believe it was rape truly with no consent than press legal charges...
No the thing is they say they were coerced ok well that will not end for young pretty girls since the beginning of time... vpw victims are not alone in this fact of life.
Be angry you allowed it to happen but remember rape is not regret....
if it was rape than I suggest the reason you didnt press charges and take action to stop being abused has alot more to do with your own problems on a personal level than any man who took advantage of it.

When you consent to sex whether you regret it later or not it is not rape. It is not child molesting when a person is 18 years old,because our society has legal laws that we can use to stop that behaviour, if your werent "strong enough" or manipulated to believing it was what you were suppose to do that would be your problem as well as the other party.
Unless we are talking about a retarded child unable to accept responsibilities for their choices it is clear to me it does indeed take two to tangle. No one was beat into submission no one had a gun to their head and infact many thought they would recieve great rewards for participating.

sure it is wrong to take advantage of others, to use a title as a power play, it is also wrong to believe the victims didnt want an advantage of their own by complying with the wishes of who ever they thought they could use.
If you were to young to know all about how the world works then accept that as part of where you were at and be thankful you learned many in life never do.
I believe the reason many didnt complain and the arrest records never hint any illegal activity is because it did take two.
Remember the law suits were CIVIL not crimminal.

Excellent post outin88! Glad to see some of us are taking responsility for our actions. I really do feel sorry for those who were abused etc, but many of them are living in a fantasy world where they believe they were forced to obey the leadership. Hopefully we all learned a big lesson from all this.
