I’m going to remind you of PFAL collateral volume 3 entitled Of Human Sacrifice.

Read it again.  Or not.  It might explain a little Abraham and Isaac and might give a clue to a blend of inspiration and people thinking God told them something.

I don't currently have access to my collaterals. What is the salient point(s) being made?

  2. Oh, God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son" Abe say, "Man, you must be puttin' me on" God say, "No", Abe say, "What?" God say, "You can do what you want Abe But the next time you see me comin', you better run

"Well", Abe said, "Where you want this killin' done?" God said, "Out on Highway 61"

Didn’t he have something to do with that “spiritual” Ghost Busters book? All that ectoplasm and other such pseudo-scientific bullshonta?

Well, I don't know about that. Heh

Burton was the first limb leader for Ohio and the first Ohio FellowLaborers director. I read some sort of thing he wrote about it that was kind of like a high school term paper, complete with scripture references. If I remember correctly (and I'm not certain I do) I think he presented it at some HQ function, such as AC or Summer School or something along those lines.

    Really? Or are you joking?

I'm quite serious. After the movie, we went back to our townhouse twigs and discussed what we had learned. A splendid way to spend a Saturday evening.

What about you Waysider - has God always given you wisdom when you asked?  Have you always heard that still small voice to guide you in a confusing, difficult time?  If not, why do you think that was?  If he has, why do you think others might not have?

I'm not sure why you directed that at me, but it's OK. I don't mind.

Last summer, through no fault of my own, I was injured in a catastrophic car accident. My life was changed forever. I'll never be the same person I was. Was there a still, small voice I missed?  I'm not going to beat myself up wondering.

You know, only reading collaterals, don't dare read anything else or look at tv.

There's another version of this, as well. We listened to music and watched movies to try to spot where they were on or off. I remember, when Rocky hit the theaters, FellowLaborers  had a special Saturday night outing where we went as a group to watch the movie, see if we could spot all the great spiritual truths it held.

    Yo, Adian!
