  1. That sounds about right, that was a good episode! I think TvLand channel still broadcasts the original series, I haven't watched it in ages, but when the tv show first came out in the '70's, my father liked it so much we would sometimes watch it while we ate dinner! Which is something I would never do with the kids, but he loved the series.

No biggie, its a one dimentional medium... :)

  2. Me neither, I really should give George at shot at it since he guessed it right too, now there's someone who know his Star Trek!

Yep, you're right about Scotty sampling the bar and getting in a fight over the Enterprise engine I think, and not over slandering Captn Kirk, and Bones comment about being born pregnant-all from the Tribbles episode.  The episode I posted on was another which was about the lonely miners on a planet whom Mudd was bartering ladies to, they were enhanced by these big pills they took and became beautiful, I think the other one with women was that he was making female androids on a space station to barter, very similar plots really.

    A classic series.

  3. I added some more in editing....

Shoot, you're right on that, I didn't remember the Trouble with Tribbles, but now I remeber Kirk held the Tribbles up to Harry Mudd and they Kooed instead of scream like they did with the Klingons, and he said, "Well, there's no accounting for taste"!

So three episodes, one on the planet and the Enterprise, one with the tribbles and one on the space station

  4. Well...both of you are right, Mudd was in two episodes, one called "Mudd's Women", and one called "I, Mudd", the one I posted is the first one, called "Mudds Women", the one RumRunner describes is called "I Mudd" the second one!

RumRunner, do you remember this one, the first encounter with Harcourt Fenton Mudd?  He was snively and weasily in the first one, but even more so in the second.

The pill they took as described in the dialog I posted is the key to the plot, also miners on a lonely planet.

Ahh, The wrath of Kahn, love that line too, "Revenge is a dish best served cold", doesn't get any better than that!

Looks like we posted at the same time, I'll wait for your response, or go ahead and post a new one RumRunner!!

  5. "Is this the kind of wife you want, Ben? Not someone to help you. Not a wife to cook and sew and cry and need, but this kind. Selfish, vain, useless. Is this what you really want?"

    "She took no drug."

    "I swallowed it."

    "Colored gelatin."

"Yes, they took away my drug

    and substituted that."

    "But that can't be."

"There's only one kind of woman. - Or man. You either believe in yourself, or you don't...Come along, Mr. Mudd."

  6. Ok, I know this one, it's the one where people from the Enterprise mysteriously keep disappearing.  Unseen invaders who plan to take over the ship selectively speed up crew members, which makes them invisible to everyone else except for a sound like a buzzing fly going past, the dialog is between one of the invaders and Cpt Kirk. and secondly of the invading female love interest, of course.

  7. I worked in the Refinishing Dept at Emporia for one or two blocks, we often went to meals with huge headaches because of all the chemicals we inhalled either in the dipping shack, where they had a large dumpster sized container filled with chemicals to strip the finish off wood, which they closed down due to harmful chemicals at one point, or while we were burning and scraping lead based paint off of baseboards, furniture or doors with a heat gun, I probably could sue them for exposure to carcinogens or harmful chemicals...I believe there is no expiration or statute of limitations on that kind of deal.

Class action suits would encourage more people to join in, although depending on how the war is waged it could take forever to actually receive compensation or any award even when you win the lawsuit.

  8. I'm not sure what they do now, the fact that there's still this veil of secrecy around the abs and the finacials of twi evokes skepticism from me, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them, absolute power corrupts, the ones in charge at twi now are all lying sacks of s--- IMO.  The only reason they wouldn't be misappropriating funds is because they don't want to be ousted like LCM, or someone has put in new checks and balances, not because they are so honest or trustworthy.  I'd like to see some proof one way or the other....better not hold my breath.

As far as the old guard is concerned, there are reports here on GS regarding old vpee getting numerous large cash advances, even old posts from waydale concerning gold stashes in limb homes, maybe DontWorryBeHappy or some of the older posters could comment on that for us.

  9. WW, I thought that poster might have been HCW, he had a very unique perspective and hands on interaction with VP and family in the early days at hq.

He doesn't post much anymore, but I wish he would, his posts actually were the thing that drew me into the depths of GS and kept me searching the forums when I first started checking GS out...

By the way, VP was a real Jekyll and Hyde type of person.

  10. I think more information is what's needed here, maybe the webinar will provide that....the fact that Pawtucket is involved should speak loudly, I would imagine he would not be involved if he hadn't checked it out somewhat....

Those who are not degree holding clinically trained pschologists, psychiatrists, etc, but have labeled themselves "cult recovery specialists" could be authentic or could be in the same group as many cult deprogrammers were in the '70's and '80's. Many were hacks who were glorified bounty hunter types who reveled in attention from the press and who took advantage of worried gullible parents in organized churches.

At any rate, more information is needed in order for people here to make an educated response.

  11. I remember hearing in the early days veepee bragging that he and Dotsie used to take people into their home to get well, although in reality it could have been the numerous veepee rape victims they were trying to keep quiet, also I remember Harve Platig after his deprogramming recovery, they "helped" him recover at Hqtrs...unknown what that all entailed....

  12. Ok RumRunner, this may be over the cutting ege of comedy and bad taste, on the bad taste side for me....just like Adam Sandler's, "You don''t Mess With the Zohan" was wayyyy over on the yuck-bad taste eeewwww side of comedy for me (although my spouse loved Zohan), this is kinda over the line for me too....

How is it you can post cooking and baby shower tips and stuff like this at the same time??   :evildenk: :)  Just kidding, I appreciate your acerbic wit and skepticism, it adds "flavor" to our little forum...

  13. I think vepee showed his fear of death when he taught on fear and believing equals/is receiving.

After I was out of twi and spinoffs I once tried explaining to someone what the twi belief was regarding believing and death, this person was a christian, who worked in a dangerous profession where there was 15% attrition due to death on the job annually.  I told him twi taught that if you die it is directly related to a person failing to believe or death being a result of not believing, he was aghast we'd been taught that.  He had personally gotten out of many situations that should have killed him but he walked away unscathed which he attributed to God guiding him and saving his butt.  He could not believe a preacher would teach such a harmful doctrine wholescale to all who followed.  I felt bad that I had ever swallowed that drivel from wierewille and believed it...

Thank God in my lifetime, it was God who saved my butt countless times, not wierwille, not vepee's doctines.

I think vepee was showing his snakely soft white underbelly in this one, he was afraid of death and judgement since he alone knew what sick, perverted acts he had participated in, and he knew better than anyone else that his career was based on adulterating and beguiling gullable and vulnerable young people and knew that he himself was a false preacher, a wolf, armed with a self serving doctrine and was not in the business of teaching the words and intent of God Almighty.

    ...just my opinion..

  14. Paw, since you are upgrading the servers, can you add features to the GS web pages?  I've seen other forum websites whose drop down search feature will have options for a thread or post search instead of clicking thru to the advanced search window, can this be added here?

Also other forums have the ability to do a search within threads as a drop down thread option feature.  This helps with threads that are many pages long, would it be easy to add these features here?

  15. Thanks for the reply John, there are people who are currently still involved with twi, newly departed from twi or who have family members still involved with twi who would like to keep their identity private, this is an issue that comes up quite often here.  It is good that you can accomodate those who want to remain anonymous and it won't be a problem for those who want to participate.  :)

  16. Yeah, old pervy veepee and uncle hairy probably had a good old laugh over the fact that the large end of the horn was for taking in all the money and the small end of the horn was what the people actually got.

  17. The thing of it is, Rosilla knows it's a sham, at least from about 1975 or so, those like Rosilla and Donna who were taught and groomed by vpee and the system he built, know what they're doing and have no conscience about it...really!

It's about power and controll, comfort and fear, it is not about being humble before God.

  18. Enlightenment may be the curse, the truth hurts because it should.

The only reason they are peaceful is because ignorance is bliss.

My pointer is off due to all the years in twi, but me too, I might be going nowhere, but in a different direction, definitely different than what I learned in twi.
