  1. It's always interesting to see how people react to so called splinter groups. When my husband and I moved here from No CA ( Hi Socks, think Laundermats!) we were very blessed to find a fellowship where we could study God's word and believe and pray with other like minded people. We have taken the class that Chris Geer teaches, but have never been co-erced into anything. We first got involved in 1969, and until Martindale we really weren't forced into anything. Maybe people left us alone because we never went into the Corps, although we sponsored many in it.

I guess we jusyt decided to take the best of the Word and walk on it. I know that many were hurt, and my heart is heavy for them, but by and large we just decided to make the word our own, and live our lives according to what was best for us. I certainly have had a few run ins with so called leaders, but a few well placed FU's got the job done.

All I know is that God will show us the best way to walk for Him, He is a personal God and He will never let me down

  2. Lou Vuto is currently back at Memories Theatre in Pigeon. His show is still dynamic, and he is still a humble god loving man. If any one is in The Pigeon Forge area of Tennessee they should really check out his show. He gets real blessed seeing the believers, and is as gracious a man as you ever want to meet! :)

  3. Lou has opened his own theater in Gatlinburg, just up the road from Pigeon Forge. You can go to his website,LouVuto.com and get all the latest!

Bill is the one who married Mandy's Mom.

  4. Sorry to say that Fred & Vivien are no longer together. Th ey did indeed go to Novato, and I was blessed to have some sweet fellowship with them.

I believe Vivien is still in the area, but has remarried. I don't know where Fred is. Sorry to have to bring this news to you.

  5. Ok, I finally have the courage to talk abot my time in the Way. I took the class in 1969, in December. Jim D*** was afriend of my husbands, and had been witnessing to him for a while. One day he came to our home and said he was showing a movie the next night, and would we like to come over and watch it. Well in my perverted Hippie mind, I thought it was a porno flick....much to my surprise it was the first night of PFAL.

At that time it was run Sun. through Fri. and Saturday was "Bath Nite". Well, on Saturday the Rolling Stones were going to be in Altamont, Ca.

Guess where we went on Saturday!

After ingesting certain feel good pills (go ask Alice) we watched the concert and got home very early Sunday. My husband almost set the house on fire, but that's another story.

I really don't know where to go with this now, except that we stood and ran twigs in our home until 1985. We really were spared a lot of the bad stuff, because all we cared about was blessing the people in our fellowship, and doing the Wird. Maybe I will post more later, and have the courage to say more in the other forums. Have been and seen a lot, but try to keep the heart of the Word alive. We left Mill Valley in 1997, and are living in TN now. Have a great fellowship here, and are still STANDING on God's Word!
