  5. What this... I go to work and when I get home everybody moved
  6. WHEW WAIT A MINUTE.... Its rare that I do this but....I must respectfully disagree Young was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1982. He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice; first in 1995 for his solo work and again in 1997 as a member of the Buffalo Springfield. He has also directed three movies, under his pseudonym Bernard Shakey: Journey Through the Past (1979), Human Highway (1982) (starring new wave band Devo), and Greendale (2003). He is one of the founders of Farm Aid, and remains on their board of directors. Each year on a weekend in October in Mountain View, California, he and his wife host the Bridge School Concerts, which have been drawing international talent and sell-out crowds for nearly two decades. The concerts are a benefit for the Bridge School, which develops and uses advanced technologies to aide in the instruction of handicapped children. Young owns Vapor Records, who have signed such artists as Jonathan Richman, Tegan and Sara and Catatonia. Since 1995 he has been part owner of Lionel, LLC, a company which makes toy trains and railroads. In a "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" list in the June 1996 issue of Mojo magazine, Young was ranked number 9. And anyone who is unlucky enough to relate to THIS has to understand the depth and courage of his Genius. :)-->
  7. I am at a loss...does THE present Truth still require THE inimitable hand stamp to be applied to THE hand before one can benefit from THE benefits of THE grace of THE omnipotent one? Yesterday, I was meditating upon many Guiness Stout labels whist consuming a long lost and recently found package of yellow Peeps (w/wax eyes, of course) and I had THE revelation that THE adding of THE ink to THE hand by THE elders was a remnant of THE law and an unnecessary outward sign, and that THE grace of THE would be showered upon all that asked without THE need of THE ink... but then I burped...
  8. Cathy, Isn't that from Les Paul's newly released album? How did you get it so quickly?? It was only released today!!! -->
  9. Well, THE all knowing Pocket PC Freshly filled with THE sustainance of life; THE battery, is once again scheduled to insure that I make my monthy Journey across THE hot Sands, back to THE home of THE omnipotent one, in order to be confident in THE knowledge that This holey place will continue on and on and on and on...in perpetuity, so that THE followers of THE will forever have a place to worship freely. Incidently, I am preparing a place for THE holey remnant of THE to have a spot here in Ahia, (out behind THE shed) where THEy can have THEir remains scattered and THEir loved ones can freely stroll around and contemplate THEm. THEre will be never be a fee for this, and THE area will forever be open to THE believers to enjoy. ALL HAIL THE!!!
  10. No black veil...just an old drunk... After the hurricanes last year there was a makeshift dam that formed in the canal behind her house from some fallen trees and stuff. The state was suppose to clean it out last year, and never did. Everyone in the community had heard a Gator cackling out there and the gaming commision said that they were just old people hearing a frog, and blew them off. Well, old Doofus, mom's silky terrier went out back to do his business and eat some sawgrass by the canal and...you know the rest. We had a doggie funeral for the foot they found on the bank... The state game division came to see her, and said that several small pets in the area had disappeared, and they believed it was an eagle, rather than a gator. After she told them about the foot, they changed their tune and decided to send a crew out to clean the dam out of the canal.
  11. ALL HAIL THE Still here, Huh? Good!!!
  12. This is the one that brings tears to my eyes, Kathy. (I just couldn't help my self)
  13. As we wait for it to rise again, Sudo?
  14. Yup it was Max Frost and the Troopers...Not a real band.. they were made up for the movie...Christopher Jones and his band, Max Frost and the Troopers, lip-synced "Shape of things to come" done by a studio group with Paul Wybier as the lead singer. The Shape Of Things To Come" was written by the famous 60's songwriting duo, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.
  15. I think they left that line out Sudo.. I like the line about "Your little angel hung the cat up by its tale.." HERE is the theme from a movie from from the Age of Nixon that some of us will remember fondly..with a great all star cast and a pretty good soundtrack, too. This is also one of the first top ten songs by a ficticious group...anyone remember the band's name?
  16. Lets see if I remember how to do this.. Mornin' All!! HERE is a theme to a popular 80's TV favorite, but this is the version that no one ever hears in the reruns on TV Land..Its really a pretty cool song in its own right!
  17. That was a south american giant water bug that attacked me in a swimming pool at a motel outside of Cape Canaveral. We drove across Fla to see the shuttle launch and we were 30 miles awaywhen they scrubbed the mission. So I got in a traffic jam on I-95 with 50,000 PO'd people trying to leave and after moving 27 miles in 3 hours we got a room at a super 8 motel. My son went over to the pool and came back in to the room and told me that there was a bug in the pool...the boy is 14... I told him to go swimming.. he wouldnt go.. so I threw on some trunks to go over with him.. I didnt see any bug..so we went in the pool.. a couple minutes later I asked him "where was the bug?" He said it was on my shoulder... I looked around just as it stabbed me with those 2 things in front and bit me...I knocked it off of me and about half way acreoss the pool and the damn thing was coming back for more... so we got out othe pool.. later I caught it because my arm was starting to swell up and I wanted to be sure I wasn't going to die. Before we left FL. I took it outside and shot it. Damn bug... That was just a small part of the Vacation from hell...there was the attack of the red fire ants....the $21.00 sensor on the transmission that cost $600.00 and took 4 days to fix. The bed that went through the floor.. the alligator and the dog...the dog lost...the monitor lizard.. yeas a monitor lizard that walked across the front yard like it owned the place, and the air conditioner that started blowing out the defroster and caused ice to form on the windows at 90 degrees .. just to name a few... Sudo, Jake and Elwood were a one-of-a-kind. Comparing them to Frankie Lane is like comparing apples to cannonballs.. but they were both great
  18. the Second version of rawhide came much later than the first one..Elwood on lead vocals, Jake on background vocal effects.. of course music by the BBB.. Hi ya'll back home from the Vacation from hell... This Guy bit me... and it hurt
  19. Did it have full metal jacket, Pirate?
  20. Sudo, Your version is a Flatt & Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys rendition. I think they released it on an album in 65 or 66 along with the ballad of Jed Clampett.
  21. 'scuse me... but.... Betty Jo was the hottest
  22. Hi fellow nostalgiamaniacs I am back.. at least for a couple weeks... going to FLA after the 4th... mom wants me to help get the house ready for hurricaine season and I wanna swim with the sharks.. where are we at?
