  1. It has been my experience to speak words that seemed vulgar, but were good for doctrine, reproof, and correction and that were appropriate in the circumstances, if only because the circumstances were extreme and needed extreme words in order for them to sink in.

I'm not sure when doing something like this would be appropriate. Ever.

I'm not gentle at all. I've said horrible things - because I too - am very rough around the edges. But I never made excuses (much less biblical ones) for it and appologized.

    Anyways...

When someone gets on here and is like: OMG! They are slandering my good name! What good name? John? Or some weird screen name? John1232822lolomfg for example. Oh no! All of the Johns will be able to pick this John, Jon, Johhnnneeeee wtf his name is out of the rest of them in this giant world.

  2. Yeah, I loved that approach. We can answer all your questions. Then you realize the explanations contradict another "truth" or whatever... and when you ask you just have to "believe" or some junk.

After I left TWI I realized I had a lot more disapointments than I had questions. I was basically disgusted. Now I'm asking more questions - wondering where other people have gone - picking things that seem to make more sense until I feel like looking it up myself or just decide to leave it in my past.

Having no questions about things is nice too. It's quiet and relaxing.

  3. I love it! I really do! Instead of saying something like: I'm justified because so-in-so was being a jerk to me! We get: here are bible verses or biblical referances - proving why it was okay to say what I said. I'm like Jebus! Then the classic hissy fit following the justification. You worship women because you think smacking them around it is wrong! You're so messed up! Blah blah blah! I say blah blah - because that's what it becomes a few lines in - it's painfully pathetic.

    :eusa_clap:

How many times did I get to enjoy seeing such things happen over and over again in TWI? Perfect! Just a perfect performance! I think I'll wait around for the next showing actually.

    Dad

Thanks everyone - and thanks for your good wishes and prayers! :3 We're very excited about all of this. When my dad started to talk a bit I thought maybe he was just mimicing people - like when he nodded his head, made a face or said ho ho ho. Although the fact that he said ho ho ho or saw my brother's facial expresson was just freaking great in itself.

For him to be able to form a sentence and understand what it meant is just wow! X3

This is the best Christmas present ever. :3 The only way it could get better is if he would stay awake and really talk to us. From recent events - it seems likely that it'll happen sooner or later.

  4. Life to me right now...

Is building a future with my husband

Learning how to feel and love more deeply

Seeing our marriage get better and better

Getting to spend time with my family

    Watching my dad get better

My mister's (husband hehe) family finally starting to accept me!

Seeing people for who they really are

Buying a house where I've always wanted to live

Moving closer to my cousin and her mister (finally - someone our age to spend time with!)

Things were so dismal - but things are finally... SLOWLY... working out.

  5. Poor Rocky Horror song - to be used in such a way. *sigh*

God - I haven't seem AOS in a long time - but it makes me laugh to see all the goofy things they did... especially that fb exercise. (Oops! Someone beat me to it).

I remember when I was little I used to call the lady in red the "strawberry lady" because of her outfit.

SA - I saw that a few years back and I was like: this looks like AOS! They steal other people's reseach material AND they steal hollywood film ideas... awsome.

    Dad

I can't believe the things that are happening in such a short amount of time! My father would shake his head no, or yes sometimes... but sometimes we wondered if it was random or what.

On Saturday the CNA said that she told him, "Merry Christmas Buddy, ho ho ho!" and he said "Ho ho ho!" Back to her.

My brother said that he asked him yes or no questions and he was shaking his head appropriately. He even made a facial expression at dad to joke with him - and dad reflected it back at him.

One of the nurses said that on Friday she asked him if he wanted something and he shook his head and said, "Yes."

Today my mother was in the hospital room with him again and she asked mom if she wanted the lights on or off and my dad said, "I want the lights off."

He tried reaching for a cup of water the other day too.

This is just amazing! :3 I am soooo freaking happy! My dad is talking and answering questions. Okay, must go and write this for my family on other blogs. Whoot!

  6. I always love tools and technology...until I get the credit card bill! :asdf: :asdf:

Now I ask for nothing ("What do you want for Christmas, honey" "Please, please get me nothing...I can't afford to pay for my present!")

Haha - I guess she doesn't work? :biglaugh: I work - and my husband gives me a laundry list of crud he wants.

It's usually me saying: "Oh honey, please... PLEASE get me nothing... I can't afford to pay for all of the presents you want this year."

  7. Belle, were you required to use them with the person that gave them to you?

I remember making a comic strip for my husband about that subject actually. XP He got a kick out of it.

  8. I bought my husband a PS2 one year. He is a gamer like me - so it's pretty easy to figure out something he'll like. Maybe I'll get him "Cooking Mama" for the Wii. It's so fun on the DS I'm sure he'll love it and it's a game we can play together.

And if I'm poor sex coupons are good too. :3

Your husband? I would get him something related to his hobby.

P.S. I know - we are total dorks. XP

  9. OM - thanks for saying that. It makes me feel better.

The lady eh? T_T Of course I am not very good at naming some of the stars that are around today... but I betcha my dad or mom would know... or at least my grandparents. Neep!

  10. OM - I'm having a hard time trying to figure you out. When I first came here you seemed decent enough and I sort of understood. I don't think everyone must believe everything they see online or tv and I don't fault them for it. You seemed like you simply didn't believe what was said about VP. My mother doesn't believe it either - and I don't dislike her for it.

Then you made some crazy statement about VPW - how what he did was to loosen his victims up sexually - acknowleging that he did it. It was like you were justifying it. So you went back on your denial (which I didn't fault you for) and excused those actions (which I do fault you for).

Today you said you don't think VP was right for doing it.

I'm just trying to figure out what you really think? Or does your opinion about things just change from day to day? I guess it's okay if it does - but maybe then I might be able to understand you a bit better.
