  1. Hi To All;

Will share a little of family Nostalgia that I found while surfing the net last night.

Sometimes I just type in a name to see if there is any info about that person. So last night I typed in my step fathers name Ernest Legg lo and behold three different old time country music sites were seeking info about him.

My dad played.sang and called square dancing with Clark Kessinger and his brother in the late 20's and early 30's,They recorded for Brunswick in 1928 and 1929.I had some knowledge of those days but was not aware the scope of my dads work.Neither he or my Mom shared much with me about those times.

I was somewhat amazed that my dad is well respected for his work with The Kessingers

and that some music historians were seeking info about him.I replied to two of those sites plus I found a site that has the 1928 and 1929 Brunswick recording sessions that has been remastered and put on CD and of couse I ordered for I do not have any of my dad's recordings.

This morning at breakfastI shared with my Mom (who now is 92) whatI had found and ahe was blessed beyond measure.Ernest and my mom Emma were married in 1944 and were very much in love until his passing in 1970.My Mom never remarried and to this day carries my step dad's name.

On this Father's day it was a blessing for me to find that after all these years there are some folks that know of and respect my Dad's work that even I was not aware of.

Happy Fathers Day to all you guys

    God Bless

  4. As of Saturday Nov 27 Mark is showing signs of improvement. The Dr's have cleared up the fluid on his lungs Mark is heavely sedated most of the time so that he does not move around and do damage to his heart incisions that might cause infection.

TonightI talked again with Marks wife Barbara and she sounded upbeat and postive about Mark's recovery but added that he is not of the woods yet and asked that all who are praying for Mark please continue to do so.

Barbara is very thankful that we with the love of God in our hearts let our requests be made known in behalf of Mark Gluckin to our heavenly Father through His Son Jesus Christ.

Thank you thank you all for your heart felt love and caring towards our brother Mark

God Bless You In All Things

    Ted F.

  5. I just talked by phone with Mark's wife Barbara

She told me that yesterday Mark was not feeling well and after she had gone to work Mark called her and asked her to come home.By the time she got home Mark had already called 911.

After the Dr's examined him they decided he needed a triple bypass NOW or else in an hour he would be dead They operated and as of now he is on his way to recovery

There is one complcation that being to get excess fluid off his lungs but they believe it can be taken care of.

I thank all of you for your contiuned prayers and believing for Mark.It blesses me that no matter what when push comes to shove we still stand together with the love of God in our hesrts for our brothers and sisters in Christ that are in need of prayer

    Love To All

    Ted F.

  12. Right off the bat I will say I am not offended by any of you who don't care for some of the tunes that I or others did years ago. Most of which is personal preference and understandably so.

However there is more to this story than meets the eye.

When Joyful Noise recorded 1, 2 and 3 we did so with a two-track tape deck and a mixing board. There was no "we can fix it in the mix" routine. We laid down the music tracks with vocals at the same time. It was a hard sell even to get this done because The Way had been burnt by Way Prods first two studio albums in the excess of over ten thousand dollars each and that investment was never recovered by sales from those two albums. It was not until America Awakes that we ventured back into a professional studio, and God love him Ken Mc got that one going. Later on The Cultural Center came to be and little by little a decent studio was put together.

When I reflect on those times I think "well that was yesterday" and "although I do have a lot of wonderful memories I must keep moving on". More recently two of my dear friends and I put together a monthly CD called Word and Music that contains two or three songs and a short sharing (not teaching) from the bible. We do this in my home studio and mail out free of charge copies to family, friends and perhaps enemies ha ha.

Something that happened a few months ago you might get a kick out of. During the month of February we recorded our monthly CD with a theme of God and Country and the lady who sings and writes with me did a recitation she wrote called Tommy's Coming Home about a Mom who has a son in the military and it was very touching. We added some nice strings to it and away it went. A few days later and in light of all that is gong on in the world I got to thinking let's send a copy of her song and White House Across The Street (one I did back in 1976) to President Bush. Well lo and behold a few weeks later he responded thanking us for sending and his reply was on an official document from The White House personally signed by George W. Bush. It was sent to us unfolded made for framing and now hangs in my studio.

In closing let me say I have never thought I was or am a great songwriter, singer or musician but to the best of my ability give it my best shot and am thankful to God that mine and others humble contributions has touched the hearts and lives of others.

Thanks to all of you that posted your kind and endearing words.

God Bless Each And Every One of You,

    Ted F.

  13. Hey John how be ya.Yeah it was me who wrote We Dig ThE word While We Did The Coal and for your info I was born and raised in the coal mines of Wv.and some of my family died from complcations of balck lung.My Grandfather told me the story of We Dig The Word so many years later I made it into a song.

GeogeAar you sure do not like my old music at all as per Attic Of Your Mind and that's fine with me,A couple of years ago I got a phone call from a lady I did not know and she was not an exwayfer and she related to me that she was on the verge of commiting sucide but started playing Attic Of Yor Mind and decided to go on rether then go out. There is more to this story but i'e too long for typing George if for no other reason I wrote and recorded that song it was worth it all I'm sure if you had to listen to it over and over you would commit sucide eh! ha ha

La Procahine sorry about my song you dislike Ready To Go that was recorded thirty years ago and you stiil recall it? You know the last thing to go from your brain cells are lyrics and music so suffer ha ha

Exe while rehearsing with The Victors they kept singing Were Bulding A Bridge and not More Beer In The Fridge.I like your version better. hee! hee!

Hey you guys and gals why do we have to hammer on one another and be so unkind. We all are dong the best we can do.

    Bye Bye Love to All

    Ted F.
