    I had not thought about those thank you notes regarding the class. We had to write about what part of the class blessed us most and why. Then the proof reading and editing of the notes came. Then they were sent to HQ and then some of them were printed in The Way Rag for advertising.

    Also the gift from each area to LCM. Giving a gift to the MOG was so regimented.. Gift giving should be thought thru but jeeze. I believe there must have been a specific list given to the areas and each area told to give a gift and each one would present something from the pre-made list of items the MOG wanted.

    Thank you notes should come from the heart for something you are truly thankful for. Gifts should also come from the heart and bless both the giver and the receiver.

    This is true, after the transition period of 1994-1995 and especially after LCMs WAP class came out. We were not allowed to fellowship with people whom were not signed up for the class or those who were not participating in fellowship with probablity of taking the class. It all stemmed from LCMs teachings on being Unequally Yoked. We were told to "Wipe the dust off your feet and keep on stepping" when it came to those who did not want to actively participate. There was very little short suffering let alone long suffering in awaiting new comers.

    My husband and I never held on to the concept of "wipe the dust off your feet...." and we continued to break many rules until eventually we were marked and avoided.

    I don't know if all people in all areas were told to do the same, but I can tell you this did happen. My husband is sitting here with me recalling these days and remembering this is what we eventually were confronted on when we were put in the HOT seat or JUDGEMENT seat of our peers.

    We believe loving unconditionally comes from your heart regardless of what you have been instructed to do.

    We were not corps and were taught this.

    ROFLMAO That was histerical!!!

    Too Funny, the LC even made me drive her out to the womans house the second night of the class with a bottle of KAOPECTATE!!!!

    She never came out of the restroom to even talk to us. In fact her husband was a cop and I had to remind the LC of this and we were overstepping our bounds.

    I was reproved for stating what I believe our boundaries were. I know I wouldn't want anyone to show up at my house after they caused me to be sick.

    24 Segments in WAP Foundational

    12 Segments in WAP Intermediate

    Some areas held these two classes as an all in one deal.

    If I recall correctly we held/took the foundational class over 2 weekends and the intermediate over one weekend.

    "Big bang theory"-- was explained by LCM, Big bang of course was Lucifer.

    The universe is in a solution of salt water, in what LCM described as the womb. Of course this is where the water poured out in the days of Noah. This is also where the Giant Ice Cubes are according to WAP.

    There was also the section on Egypt and the pyramids and how the true word of God is hidden in the Sphinx. true or not true?

    DMiller if you have never taken the class why do you not believe HopeR (who has taken the class) and what she is sharing with us. Well let me confirm just for you, that what she is sharing is the truth, it was in the WAP class.

    Does anyone remember the Floating Giant Ice Cubes in Space? Let me tell ya that will surely get you saved ha ha ha.

    The class for newbies was originally $100. If you were one of LCMs advance class grad you got a break.

    I took this class twice. Once with all the Adv.Class Grads and the 1/2 off special and once with brand new students.

    One of our new students got diahrea after the class and never returned. We lost two more students at our first showing for new people.

    This class was definately for LCM he was the main feature, with all of his sports equipment and analagies, his screaming telling you to get the He!! out, his scientific knowledge.

    His scientific knowledge, we had the deep, giant icecubes in space, the womb of water in which the universe is in, the giants or dinasours that walked the face of the earth, we had Peleg defined as quake which started the continental drift and much more...

    The section with Adam and Eve and the Debbil was so confusing. Eve had sex with the Debbil inconcretion as a female and asked Adam to join them. It was a freaken orgy? a threesome? The fruit was the debbil as a female? who knows what he was saying.

    Shoot, now I have to go grab my syllabi for more info.

    Last night after reading thru some of these "Brain Washed" threads, and listening to Aaron Neville at the same time, Hubby and I got into a very civil debate in regards to what we learned in TWI.

    There are so many subjects taught to us by TWI in which we are not absolutely positive what we were taught was correct.

    There are still theories we were taught by TWI that are lounging in our brains . We sometimes agree and sometimes disagree with each other on these subjects. Sometimes we just leave it alone.

    What we learned or were brain washed with in the Advance Class often comes under the catagory of these questionable theories. Many times over the years since we left TWI we have found ourselves questioning what we learned in that class. That means both of us questioning not just one or the other.

    Not debating any longer TWIs view, but where our thinking is -vs- the Word or what Jesus Christ did for us or what God wants of us.

    We believe we were definately convinced of certain issues that we were once taught, now we know were wrong. We fell into what we once believed to easily.

    Were we Brain Washed? Yes, No and Maybe

    I know in our hearts, we were just wanting to love God and do the right thing.

    This we still have in our hearts, doing the right thing is available without being brain washed.
