  1. "In what way did it 'take them out'?" Those who are following this war and that have a deep respect for those posting get just as consumed by it. I read it cause I care.
  2. ....I should have said... ....has become such a distraction.... Warring over water for pete's sake. Not a civil conversation which is fine but sheesh, isn't there other things more important then this? Some say it works good some say it doesn't. Ok, fine. End of story. But no, drag it out and start a war, split people into groups, take sides, rather then just saying your peace and ending it. This is a great example of being blinded by a somewhat insignificant subject. And how wars are started and people divided and hurt. And yes Garth it is a good brain exercise, but it's gone beyond that, imo. 10 pages now on ******* water. Water is important, but that importance didn't even come up. Just a brand of water. So go on beating each other up. Knock yourselves out. And lose sight of greater things that are being so blatantly missed it's pathetic. Being so consumed in the fight, that it even takes out the innocent bystanders. cm
  3. This thread is such a distraction from much better things going on that it ain't even funny. -->
  4. I've been meaning to get back to this thread for a few days now, and well here I am :)--> I really like outlook03, although it's appearance could use some improvement, with all of it's large borders and bulky appearance. Now here's an update on Phone Plus. If you send and receive faxes and receive normal calls on the same phone line, Phone Plus does not play nicely with other fax receiving programs. The older version did but that ability to work together has been removed because the author of the program said that it was causing other problems. I use MS Fax and if you are running Phone Plus and MS Fax in either auto mode or manual, Ms fax will take over the phone line and not let Phone Plus do it's job. You have to run through MSFaxe's wizard and set it up, putting all the info needed for it to work, set it to manual or auto send and receive. Then go back and do the wizard again and disable receive. You can still go to the fax console (mine is on my desktop) and click a button and receive a fax. Of course you have to be at the comp. and know that it's a fax call coming in. This is my setup right now. And it works. Maybe your particular fax program will work well with Phone Plus, I don't know. But MS Fax is built into winxp, so it's free basicly. Not withstanding the cost of winxp in general. The author of Phone Plus and I have had numerous e-mails back and forth discussing the situation. If you only have one phone line to receive calls and faxes, he suggests using Call Station (from the same creator as Phone Plus). Which has all that Phone Plus has, but also can receive and send faxes. And it has a built in answering machine. But Phone plus is $20 and Call Station is $40. The author (Craig Duncan) is pretty quick to reply to any problems that come up. Refreshing to me. He responds quickly. And he even offered me a discount on Call Station because I'm a registered user of Phone Plus. I am going to try Call Station soon, when I have the time to play with it. http://www.imptec.com/index.html Also on another note-I don't trust any answering machine to work properly all of the time. Currently I have an external answering machine (not one on the computer) and voice mail from the phone company. So that I'm sure that I don't miss any calls. My external is set to answer after 4 rings while the voice mail is set to answer after 5 rings. And if I'm on the phone and receive a beep indicating another call coming in, if I want to ignore it, the phone companies voice mail answering service will pick it up. :)-->
  5. mike will always have an answer. not to the questions asked but he will always have the last word.......these days anyway. if you want to stop, then stop he will keep going.
  6. jardinero btw What are the problems that you are having with your computer? And study up on that microsoft tool. I loaded it. And it asks you for permission for everything!! And I mean everything that wants to do something on your comp. I uninstalled but still have the download.
  7. Ok I'm home now-get off early on fridays. Microsoft Anti Spyware http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/s...re/default.mspx DSO Exploit http://www.pchell.com/support/dsoexploit.shtml http://www.auditmypc.com/DSO-exploit.asp
  8. Yes-deeper wider higher longer newer arena of understanding And dipping your toes in that fire only burns for a little while. Soon to get even braver and stick the whole foot in or more. I can think of more to invite to this thread. I'd like them to share their thoughts as well.
  9. Do a search for DSO exploit in your search engine and you will find the answer. I did but I forget what the answer was. I do know that it will not go away. And from what I remember it is not a problem. DSO Exploit still comes up on mine in spybotsd. Or if memory serves there was a way to get rid of it but it was too much trouble to do. But I do remember that it's not a big problem for your comp. Microsoft has a beta adware scanner if you want to try it. Just go to their web site and search for beta products. I'm at work now so I don't have the exact address of it. It's on my comp at home.
  10. It doesn't seem like a question to me but more of a statement with many statements about humanity as a whole. And how, by the grace of God he puts no difference between those in - let's say Tibet or Mongolia or China or Russia or the USA. But taking a look at God's creation-mankind-His Love-His project so to speak. Cause how can a man in Tibet reach such spiritual heights (as they have) without the Bible set on a pedastal, put well out of reach of the common man. Yet within reach because its more then the letter of the written scriptures that makes a man whole but God himself working within humankind to reach, or rather for us to finally see the result of His great love within each of us and all of us. It's a matter of opening our eyes to a greater and deeper spiritual understanding. A matter of perspective, of seeing these things in a new Light, yet built on and not leaving behind the good of what we have learned to date. For God's habitation is within these mortal bodies without prejudices or-simply put-respect of persons. Biblical/Scriptural/Doctrinal Prejudices and Racism are blatantly obvious especially within "christian" circles, as well as other parts of the planet. And it's a slap in the face to some who hold the scriptures so high that they cannot even understand them themselves. CM aka vert
  11. At this point in my life I think sin affects this life more then the next. And the 2 are 1. John said there is a sin unto death. But what that means I'm not sure of. What will die? The fire of God will burn all the bad and leave the good. And I'm talking about all people. Not just "believers". A term that is thrown around a lot but not quite understood. Like the term "born again".
  12. Well.... Every google tells a story that's for sure. I don't mind though. I've got nothing to hide. Gotta go to work now-I still check greasespot from there though. When I have time. :D-->
  13. Holy sh!t!!!!! I just googled my email address in "groups"!!!! Try yours!!!!!!
  14. Steve You mean they can find it even if it's just typed in anywhere on the web?
  15. If you can try making one for your self and see if it works. I don't know what a spider is but if you can get one to check your fake one see what happens. here I used the insert emailaddress function from this posting platform here at greasespot. cmannixfake@cinci.rr.com I put fake in there just in case a spider finds it. If you click this it will start your email program with that address in the to line. Is that what you mean by hyperlink? Or do you mean like a link to a webpage like this- http://gscafe.com/groupee
  16. Bluzeman That's for Outlook 02 and I'm sure it will work. I have outlook03. Now I just learned that in outlook 03 that when you minimize outlook03, there is a little outlook03 icon in the right side tray (where the clock is) as well as on the task bar itself. In oulook03 if you right click that icon near the clock there is an option, "hide when minimized". I checked it and it works. Outlook03 goes to the clock tray only. Instead of the tray and the task bar. Now the thing is that outlook03 still does the "send and receive" at your set intervals. Mine is every minute. So it downloads your new mail even when minimized to the tray. And notifies you of new mail. Spiking my cpu usage to around 20% and more if it downloads mail. Which is fine unless you are running a cpu usage hog like games or other programs. It could mess up your game or at least stall it for a second or 2. My kids do some high cpu usage games. I do chess mostly or spider solitaire :)-->. The difference in mailbox verifier is that it only checks to see if you have mail. It does not download it. And outlook03 is not running. So there is hardly any cpu usage at all. At least I don't see it spike the cpu (using ctrl alt del-performance), like outlook03 did. So in conclusion-lol- :)-->judge for yourself which is better for you. If you are still using outlook express, I would suggest that if you want notified of new mail immediatly with out the oe running, then get mv or something similar to it. But mv is free. Did all that make sense. Wow, I'm tired now from all this thinking :D-->
  17. I'm still trying to catch my breath from what sirguessalot said.
  18. "So I don't get it." I think he got it! :D-->

  22. Nice programs! I like them all! lol... :D--> My handle used to be Vertical Limit, now I'm CM. I kind of thought Vertical Limit sounded a bit arrogant. CM formerly V.L.
