  1. OM,

If this makes you feel good...

twi, more specifically many of the people i knew in twi at one time were a great blessing to me an my life.

Later on, I started of the bad things that were being done within twi...

    A fair question could be...

Did the good things that happened while in absolve the bad that was done? IMO, no. The abuse that was done to so many can never be justified.

If twi was a Godly ministery, none of it's people should have suffered.

  2. I guess that I should have added....

There were later court cases with lcm as the defendant.

I understand the letter as a cold hard business document, and a document that on one hand is pleading for sympathy and stroking lcm's ego at the same time. It almost seems like it the type of document someone would use as if they were trying to run a con

That letter is an importand document!

As a result of that letter, and the aftermath of that letter I left twi.

  3. Looking back...

It is interesting that during this time period that allagations of sexual misconduct or any other type of did not surface (or surface to the point that I heard of such things).

    either:

    1. No misconduct conduct was happening

    2. No body knew of any misconduct

    3. All parties were involved in misconduct.

I draw the comparison to the relationship between lcm and cg to the United States and the Soviet Union.

Both the U.S. and the U.S.S.R had high power weapons and were set in a position to use them, therefore they/we didn't...

I wonder if lcm and cg have enough information/documentation that was "set in the ready" on each other that there were some areas that they were both reluctant to bring "to light"?

We may never know all the details of everything that happened...

I believe that there are still many secrets that have yet to be revealed.

  4. Then they wouldn't be renewing their minds, right?

I think it is possible for believers (who are willing and who practice the principles) to live together for one year.

All it takes is some bible knowledge and gritty resolve.

    OM,

Yes, people can live together and they don't even have to be "believers". For example, the military will assign "roommates" to people who are on the same "tour of duty", "same unit" etc... However, the military is smart enough that people have different personalities and some people will have a more difficult time getting along with other people. Therefore, they will change room assignments.

OM said: "I think it is possible for believers (who are willing and who practice the principles) to live together for one year." This could be true.... I noticed that you didn't mention that that year could be the year from hell, or not be enjoyable.... It is possible for any two believers to live together, just like it's possible that Santa Clause will bring me a new BMW for Christmas and the Easter Bunny will bring me a Fabragie (sp) Egg.

  5. Let's look at the wow program a little more....

    1. after this so called training at the ROA, we were sent to find and meet our "new wow family". I want to know how in the F*** was the decision made as to who was with whom?!?!?!?!

    2. I also want to know on how they decided who was going where? I understand that twi had it own interest in where they wanted to send bodies. However, these bodies were people! It seems they didn't care about the people when it came down to assigning locations.

    3. Did anybody else think that working "part time" was a stupid idea!!! My "wow" family had financial problems all year because we all tried to be "good little wow's" and work part time jobs. I finally said to myself, "F*** THIS"! And got a full time job.

I was a wow from 82-83 in Bossier City, LA. This was the worst year of my life! To this day, I have avoided setting my foot in that state.

The people who decided who whould be with whom and where they would go showed the they were not communicating with the one true God when they made there decisions.

    Catty

Cats, by nature are hunters. They will go to where they can prey upon the hunted.

And it sounds like that you are creating the enviroment for the hunters by fattening up the prey...

  6. Ham,

One thing that helps me is playing a competive sport. I enjoy going to tournaments to compete (most of the tournaments I go to are about 200 miles away).

Playing a competive sport helps change the focus of your attention (even if for awhile), you interact with other people in a "fun" enviroment, and exercise is usually a good thing. I know people who are in there 70's who play racquetball every morning. And, my uncle plays basketball at lunch about 3 times a week.

There might be a local gym and/or recreation center near you.

  7. Is it just me...

Or, has anybody else notice this...

That the majority of those who have a "farewell" thread, usually end up comeing back at some point in time...

And those who simply "fade away" usually don't come back (except on rare occasions).

  8. Mike,

Try taking deep breaths and exhaleing a few times...

I think that somewhere in the Bible there is something about a merry heart?

We might not all have the same sense of humor...

But, it's nice to know that there are some among us that at least have a sense.

  9. Raf,

I am truly sorry for your loss :(

I know the pain that you must be going through.

One thing that I did when Aquilla passed away was, I went out and brought home my cat, Callie.

Callie will never take the place of Aquilla, but she helped ease the pain.

    You are in my prayers.

  10. IMO...

It sounds like Texas found a use for looters... Target practice...

I think that everone who owns a rifle or pistol should know how to use the weapon correctly.

One of the "gun rules" I learned many years ago is...

Don't point a weapon at somebody unless you are about to or are prepared to pull the trigger...

I also learned that there is a difference between a rifle and a "gun". There is a little poem that was used to help teach the diffenence.

The Guy reciting would be holding a rifle with his left hand and pointing with his right. The poem went something like this...

This is my rifle (right hand points to rifle)

this is my gun (right hand points to the guy's gun)

this is for shooting (right hand points to rifle)

this is for fun (right hand points to the guy's gun)

Now does this (right hand points to rifle)

look like this (right hand points to the guy's gun)
