Not sure about that little girl nika...I believe that photo was from up north in Mosul or Tikrit.

    God Bless y'all

Horrible things we're doing over here, huh?

Ok...I am back online here at least for awhile...when is a good time to get into the chatrooms?

I am a little tired of talking to myself...my patients are starting to talk.

Now remember I am 9 hours ahead of you folks in Central time...so that must mean I have to:

wake-up in the morning at 8 o'clock at night, 1/2 hr before I go to bed right?

    (ala Monte Python)

Hope to see y'all or some of y'all soon

  4. ...skippin' in the Mississippi dew

This is one of my favorites fro John...

I had the pleasure years ago to sit in with Doc & Merle Watson

Sounds like John (we've never met) was a true gentleman like Doc'

dmiller, thanks for your post...Bb tuning sounds interesting

    John...aka Smokey...aka oilfieldmedic

  5. JC Superstar...

I was 16 or 17 when it came out (200 years ago)...anyway...I remember a group of intellectuals gathering in an apartment on Good Friday, in Millersville, PA... getting all "Lit-up", listening to the album...then discussing & analyzing it. I would have loved to have a recording of that!

    #1: I just remember being there...I think

#2: I am not an "intellectual"

#3: Did someone mention Acapulco Gold?

Believe it or not, an I am being serious now...the line in that song, "don't you get me wrong, I only want to know"...started me on my search for God.

Anyway...I am thankful I am not an intellectual and I'll admit it right here and right now...Yes, I did inhale!

  6. Hey Belle...I can get ya all the DVD's ya want for $2 a piece over here...Can you say, "Bootlegged"?

Even though its been 4-1/2 years since that dreadful day, I still think it's too soon.

Perhaps this a politically motivated decision to release it now, who knows...I can see how the powers-that-be may think it may booster the war effort.

Where does this cynicism come from? ...Sigh!

  7. Go rape a child, kill someone, embezel (sic?), lie, cheat, do drugs...then you stand before a liberal-media-driven judge and what do you get?

    REHAB' & COUNSELING!

Give me a break! Heck, send em' over here to Baghdad, there are plenty of rehabilitation opportunities!

  8. oh...another thing...Hey Robes...God Bless Ya' Honey!...good to see you again too...I am slugging it out in Baghdad, I run a clinic about 800 personnel...sutures, bandaids, ASA, foleys...you know, the usual?

    Just kidding about the Foleys

  9. Just checking in folks...still alive and kicking...on my way back from a 21 day R & R...family is doing great...my wife experienced some massive deliverance and healing (God is so good)

Anyway, I have had limited access to the net' believe it or not, (just moved so everything was turned off), so here I am, all is well as I trust all is well with y'all

    oilfieldmedic@hotmail.com still works great...drop me a line...And Thanks Shell'

    John :wave::wave::wave::wave::wave:

  10. 1: Cinderella Liberty:

James Caan gooses Marsha Mason witha pool cue while she bends over and lines up a shot...She says, "Either that is a pool cue or a real man just walked in the place"

2: Forrest Gump: "Ya ain't got no legs Lieutenant Dan"

3: Sling Blade: "Wadja kill jesse fer, Wadja kill jesse fer"?
