  1. :) The essence of what God our creator is- is- love, light, spirit. He is a lover of all that he created. He is the purest of all, no blemishes, He is a spiritual being. Not flesh and blood.

Who God is- is- God is a Father. He is The Father of our spiritual family. His long suffering heart has been calling us out since before the beginning to come to him, to have a spiritual relationship with him as sons and daughters, his children.

  2. A little more plot then.

When the rogue cop's EX-partner is brutally gunned down in front of him narrowly escaping himself, he goes (the rouge cop) after the killers. One by one he eliminates everyone suspected until he uncovers that it isn't the killers of his EX-partner that he's looking for, its those who hired them.

  3. As is the case with "Songs Remembered...," sometimes what's very obvious to one person is completely off another's radar. Whatever the movie is that you're quoting, and it may be quite famous, I haven't seen it. In general, if it appears that everyone is clueless, it's best just to post the answer. You can also then decide if you want to try another movie or open it up as a "Free Post" for someone else to jump in. (Always wait a few days before giving up on a clue, though. Not everyone checks in here several times a day!)

    George

I'm going to give up the answer then. It's been 4 days. Scent Of A Woman.

Al Pacino won best actor for his performance as the blind Col. Frank Slade.

I thought that this was going to be an easy one for you guys. Guess no one's a fan of this movie.

  4. Actually, there were a few NG episodes which involved Shakespeare, usually with Data acting out some role. The quotes, however, are indeed from the original series episode, "The Conscience of the King." Witnesses to war crimes were being killed whenever a particular acting troupe was on their planets. Although the lead actor was, in fact, the war criminal Kodos, it was his daughter who had been murdering the witnesses.

You're up, my man. If you can't remember enough lines from an episode, feel free to google. It's okay to do that when giving clues, just not when answering!

    George

    Here's one for you.

A message goes to the Enterprise for Capt. Kirk from a minors planet for help to find a killer. Spock and Kirk transport down to start an investigation to find the killer. They find a lot of broken silicon nodules all over the floors of the mine. Kirk beams down a search party to join him. They split up and search different directions in the mine.

    "Don't wait Captain,shoot it now"!

"It doesn't seem to be doing anything".

    "I'll be right there."

    Later Dr. McCoy beams down.

"By golly Jim, I'm beginning to think I can cure a rainy day."

  5. I like small town newspapers. Mine is a must read everyday. Sometimes serious, sometimes interesting sometimes quirky or sometimes just plain odd. I read things there almost everyday that I'd never find in a larger newspaper.

Todays headline across the top of the local front page got my attention just a little more than usual...

Car hits Jesus Christ -- seriously

    http://www.berkshireeagle.com/ci_15043594

    :o :biglaugh:

Poor girl-I doubt she'll ever forget running down the Lord Jesus Christ in the road

I'm wondering if I should go hire him and put him on the payroll or something for awhile.. :biglaugh: ..that way if anyone ever asks me again if I know the Lord Jesus Christ.....I can honestly answer with an unequivocable yea --he was helping me out at work yesterday ...

:) Unless she's on the road to Damascus!

Anything strange/weird/wonderful happening in the papers in your neck of the woods?

  6. Alright here's some more.

    "Get outta her."

    "I'm staying right here!"

    "Get outta here."

    "I'm staying right here!"

"I'll blow you fu**# head off."

"Then do it! You want to do it? Do it! Lets go"!

    "Get outta here!"

"You fu**# up all right? So what? So everybody does it. Get on with your life would ya?"

"I'm in the dark here! You understand? I'm in the dark!"

"So give up! You want to up? Give up...Cause I'm givin up too. You said I'm through. Your right, I am through! Were both through! Its all over! So lets get on with it... Let's fu**# do it. Let's pull the trigger you miserable blind mother fu**#.

Just clarify for me if anyone cares to. This is a thread remembering flicks from just one line. Correct? So for example if I uses " I'll have what she's having", or "You had me at hello", you should know what flick that is. Right.

If this is the case then I'm surprised that this one has not been guessed. At some point are we allowed to give the flick up. If we find it's just too easy not to be guessed?

  7. The manifestation of blah, blah, blah is your operation of the blah, blah, blah in the blah, blah, blah, blah----

    :sleep1:

When I was finished with the AC the first time, then LCM came up with his "New Light" version.

He was the apostle you know bringing new light to a generation @ $1000.00 a pop. What bull$#!

  8. The AC was possibly the most depressing two combined weeks I ever spent in The Way. It totally bummed me out that everyone else appeared to be understanding it while I didn't "get" it at all.

That and the fact that I tried to connect with some of the popular Way musicians of the day and they completely blew me off without so much as a listen.

Maybe we went to same AC class Waysider. I couldn't agree more with you. When was this spiritual enlightenment suppose to happen? I waited too. 2 weeks of the most drawn out, dragged out, drab and dull drum I ever heard. :anim-smile:

  9. "Worlds may change, galaxies disintegrate, but a woman... always remains a woman."

"All this, and power too. Ceasar of stars. Cleopatra... to worship him."

"You are like your ship. Powerful, but not human. There is no mercy in you."

"He is Kodos. And I've shown him more mercy than he deserves."

"I am an actor. I play many parts."

"You're an actor now. What were you twenty years ago?"

    "Younger. Much younger."

"Did it ever occur to you that he simply might like the girl?"

    "It occurred. I dismissed it."

    "You would."

"Even in this corner of the galaxy, Captain, two plus two equals four. Almost certainly, an attempt will be made to kill you. Why do you invite death?"

    George

Is it the Shakespeare play episode?

  10. That's exactly right. If you listen to any kinna radio today you must know the song.

    Any quesses.

I must of heard this song 200+ times on the radio @ work or home. It's new but easy enough that you should recognize it.

It started with a low light,

Next thing I knew they ripped me from my bed

And then they took my blood type

It left a strange impression in my head.

You know that I was hoping,

That I could leave this star-crossed world behind

But when they cut me open,

I guess I changed my mind.

  11. What life? I got no life! I'm in the dark here. I'm in the dark!

    Alright here's some more.

    "Get outta her."

    "I'm staying right here!"

    "Get outta here."

    "I'm staying right here!"

"I'll blow you fu**# head off."

"Then do it! You want to do it? Do it! Lets go"!

    "Get outta here!"

  12. "We need another python. See what you can do. We have enough Cobras, okay?"

    "F--- off, okay?"

    "I like your sister, Diaz."

"She's got a thing for retards."

"Any of you boys want to shoot, now's the time. There isn't one of us that doesn't want to be someplace else. But this is what we do, who we are. Live for nothing, or die for something. Your call."

"You know, you never told us your name."

    "John."

    "Where are you from?"

    "Bowie, Arizona."

    "Why'd you leave?"

    "I got drafted in 'Nam."

    "And you just stayed?"

    "It's complicated."

    "You have family back home?"

    "Father, maybe. I don't know."

"Aren't you curious to see how things might've changed back home?"

"Gotta have a reason for that."

    (1) "What did you do? We came here to help stop the killing! Who are you to..."

    (2) "Who are YOU?"

    (3) "Let him go!"

    (2) "They would've raped her fifty times... and cut your f---ing heads off! Who are you? Who are any of you?"

"Maybe you've lost your faith in people. But you must still be faithful to something. You must still care about something. Maybe we can't change what is. But trying to save a life isn't wasting your life, is it?"

"I was told it might be possible to rent your boat. We'd like to do that. Is that possible? We need to get upriver."

    "Where are you going?"

    "Into Burma."

    "Burma's a warzone."

    George

    Still no clue.

  13. "You know, you never told us your name."

    Is it Apocalypse Now.

  14. The FA&HC center was a stately old house in Sidney, OH. The fine art consisted of way art , like Meg K*sh' drawing of crayons-which was actually better than it sounds.

I recall seeing the famous window where it 'snowed', and wondering who went on that expedition to retrieve it.

I worked in the kitchen for some honcho's wedding reception once. I haven't the foggiest memory how that happened.

Nope then, I saw this in the auditorium at way international must of been early to mid 90's.
