  1. I absolutely adored Tommy.............he and I shared many experiences that one remembers with fondness and appreciation. I remember being at his wedding to Deborah and he took out a white microphone and sang to her. I never saw so many people cry in my life!! I will never forget that. What do you mean he is different from the person we remember??? Whatever he is doing, I hope all is well with he and his family. He is one class act.
  2. Retemory is not an actual word? I'm shocked! And to think I have been using it these 20 odd years to no avail.........Speaking of Corps night, etc., remember we sat alphabetically? Because of my last name, I sat smack in front of the podium (darn my parents!) and let me tell you the horror it was. I can remember the shaking and sweating and deals I made with God, etc, etc, etc............I NEVER once got called on, but I can tell you this much, after those introductory 'abuse sessions' I couldn't tell you what any teaching was about. I think I blacked out during the rest of the time in upstairs Wierwille. I honestly think if you could live thru that, you could live thru anything...........I work in hte corporate world and I am able to meet with CEO's, Senior VP's, etc, and be fine because I think nothin would terrify me as much as those days.........Just my opinion.
  3. Rum.....that description of living in a tent in a torrential rainstorm and then having to have on a clean pressed suit, nametag and 3x5 card notwithstanding, brings back so many memories. Sure it was unbelievable the things we did in hte name of 'God'..........I remember our twig had 'parking duty' (like it was the Four Seasons or something) for the Sunday night services at HQ. As fate would have it, I had to stand about 5 miles from the EOB(unarmed as Rum said) , which turned out to be quite peaceful, although I never had the pleasure of actually directing traffic, but I did stand in a torrential rainstorm in my Sunday go-to -meeting clothes.....
  4. Anyone know where Joanne is? She was 12th Corps and a great person. I'd like to get in touch with her.
  5. Please please tell me Bob did not pass away. He was a wonderful man, and I have tried to contact him in any way I could for the last 13 years. I am truly shocked and heartbroken.
  6. Please people grow up! I am a Corps grad, totally heterosexual, and would rather see two people, even of the same sex, be happy and committed than two so called 'believers' who get married just so they can be in the Way Corps weddings (long time ago). Let's be happy that two people really want to make a committment, instead of judging people. As I tell people, I'm out of the business of telling people what to do, etc. I am not God.
  7. You're right, he was known as 'Denny' Rocca. My bad, thanks.
  8. Anyone know what he is up to these days??
