Thanks from the bottom of my heart for the truth and details in your account. I read in a book somewhere that people do not hide what is appropriate, they only hide what is inappropriate. And this is one in a whole series of stories of the inappropriate being hidden. Thanks for exposing it so those who wish to be informed can make decisions with more knowledge.

I missed reading that on the benefits card for a Foundational Class under the "more harmony in the home" section - "use your wife as a sexual playtoy to be passed around, causing insurmountable psychological damage". Or on the prosperity section "have your belongings stolen and destroyed". Or on the believing and confidence section "be threatened with handguns by mooks for not going along with hotshots breaking laws, attempting bribes, and betraying spiritual authority".

Did you ever find out from the DIL about how she was recruited for this? Or how the wrong doctrine was introduced to her? Did others condone the behavior and encourage her? King Okus just approach directly? Some of those details are the most hidden usually as they can prove collusion and collaboration. There are some stories of those in high places serving as pimps and what's the official court term "procurators" for these acts. It's amazing how deep the rabbit hole actually goes on some of this stuff.

From what I have read and understood here, your DIL was/is emotionally traumatized. I doubt anyone ever gets over something like this ... they just have to learn to cope with it and hopefully get some serious help.

She was so used, yet probably believed she was 'loved' by these things we called MOGS. When the whole thing came crashing down, what she perceived as being real was suddenly a 'fairy tale' and having probably believed she was the princess in that fairy tale, suddenly the tables were turned and she became the wicked witch and told go home.

It is no wonder to me that she behaved the way she did when she was with you that short time before departing for the 'bus' guy.

I wonder how different TWI really is at it's core if these same miscreants are at the helm.

Watered Garden had great insight about how in the OT when such things were done God was not too happy... and in those days, this was done to those 'not in the fold' sorta' speak. Wonder how God feels when it's done to those who love Him??

First you seem to think I swallow every thing written on the internet as truth ........I don't! Now that that is clear ,her opinion and that is what it is without factual evidence is hers to share she is free to do so. I'm free not to accept it on her word. or to accept parts or all. The Bible does not depend on man's moral rightousness for defining if it is truth or not. But I suppose you should know that, at least once you did...... So thats how I see em I have no comment on undocumentable stories I think I have made that pretty clear before. I can however discuss sections of the blue book as someone brought up because it contains scripture and it can be examined to be found true or not. By the way for the record I see both cases, but the ones that concur with scripture are still none the less truth, even if VP was nailing spikes in Jesus's hands as he was saying them. Actions do not negate the scripture. Judas spoke truth at times he also betrayed Jesus two different things. one does not negate the other.

I think in a few instances something is mentioned about 'having a staggering capacity for denial' while in TWI (or just being waybrained for that matter) ... hmmmm..... do i see a connection?

I've read your post and the one thing that stood out to me was that these 'educators' do not believe in learning disabilities.

For the past 8 years I have been a tutor for a specified reading program and centre. As well, for the past 10 years, I have been a part-time teacher in the public school board.

My specific training has been in reading and learning to teach children to read who have very specific reading difficulties. Over the years and the hundreds of students I and my boss have worked with, few have actually been dyslexic (though, I'm not disagreeing with this diagnosis, nor am I saying that dyslexia is not a valid learning disability). Often reading difficulties, of which spelling difficulties incur, are due to poor phonological memory or slow memory recall or a combination of these as well weak sound manipulation abilities and articulatory issues.

The man I work for has his Doctorate in Education and did his dissertation on a specific reading program called Phonographix by Read America. We no longer use this specific program in our centre...yet we still do apply many of the same principles to teach children/adolescents to read.

I know for a fact that there is a text book for this program and you could probably access any of these materials via the internet.

All the best.. and personally... I think you're on the way to the right decision regarding your son. I believe that staying at home with his own family will have a far more positive impact on him than getting this so called 'better education'.
