outandabout Posted May 21, 2004 Share Posted May 21, 2004 I thought this was a drug movie because of the title. There are some drugs, but it's not the main topic. I am torn between admiring it as an intense "film noir" and being annoyed at the way it chronilogically jumps confusingly around. It would have been a compelling enough story if they'd just stuck with it straight. Maybe I'm just not sophisticated to appreciate all that kind of confusion. I do think Sean Penn is so attractive.
