  1. By now, her social security, supplimental, whathaveyou ~ have kicked in.

Worry about your own lives and parents, is best I can say ~ and NOT feel bad.

Finance is a balancing act anyway ~ too much, you lose this ~ too little, you gain something else.

    Leave these people ALONE!

If you care, wonder how to make the caregivers feel appreciated...that's it!

    inho.

  2. you can **** out front desk clerk (that can lead to promotion, then to bilateral opportunities)

**** out audio/video there Garth...someone has to set up the meeting rooms for corp/com. that use them

**** out associate sales positions in the back offices ~ they give you their leads to re-book parties/meetings, etc.

    **** out 'banquets'

the catering dept. is a money maker ~ crazy hrs. though

and for some guys with strong backs **** out housemen...they set up tables, chairs, dance flors

cooks ~ **** out kitchen help

    >most of the better hotels are union today, so, lucky for any of you who get in ~ you'll have benefits quickly.

    Conciere ~

    Gift shoppe clerk ~

    pool attandant

    snack bar

no mater where you start out ~ they usually hire 'up' fr. within up until the Dir. and G.M. level...that's for those who have their degree ... but you can get a good run, especially if you are planning to move anytime, and they can relocate you.

Try Marriot, Hyatt, Hilton, Ritz-Carlton...wherever it is YOU want to go to work everyday.

Plus, the have comps for employees ~ meaning if you travel, whatever, you can stay as a guest at another property usually free.

    Good luck.

  3. Some people I know real well, and including myself, might be able to give a re-entry enviornment to a single or couple after the initial 'leave'.

Like in a network scenario ~

Where one or two come to where there is guaranteed work, and support while they get on their feet and prepare to move on.

I'm sure we can have this 'network' expansive ~ since the further away some can tolerate going, may be the better, or at least back to their roots!

I'm 'in' on that level...and for contributing to your cause.

Let me know when your chatting it up and I'll do what I can to show up and lock-in.

I think this is a generous, worthwhile endeavor.

    Good luck to the planners...

I can help in other ways, if re-enrty isn't part of the scenario, for now.

    Ginger

  4. It's so obvious now, isn't it?

Thanks ~ and I definately have seen that myself, at one time or another.

I could not even begin to entertain putting myself, my trust, or my life and the people that matter most to me, in any 'outer fringes' hands...for sure.

    Hey, we live and learn.

    Thanks.

  5. I don't think men have been conditioned to relate to 'victimization'... the way women do.

    Doesn't mean they aren't ~ can't be or won't...

I think the cognicance of it is on an entirely different level ~ although I think that is changing...

The whole 'victim mentality' is very sad though... if anyone chooses to remain there too long ~ and people DO choose it still when it doesn't serve them anymore

... but only they know ~ no one can really judge one's healing in matters of the heart & mind ~ not yet anyway

... you can't x-ray a shattered life or the responses to it like you can a broken bone.

In this area (that a victim is a victim until they survive it, are ready to move on and CAN overcome the obstacles ~ some of it being the time spent 'there' as well) MEN can learn from women and WOMEN can learn from men...

I say this with the most heartful compassion, and also in truth. I don't mean any offense to anyone.

    How could I?

  6. I had so much inside before I took it ~

And have gained lots more SINCE I took it...

(and nothing was original really, as most was from someone or somewhere else ~ except the snow scene and a few other 'fibs' perhaps ~ or delusions, who the heck really knows)

    It doesn't 'phase' me anymore...

  7. Thanks but no thanks ~

that was the, imho, the worst example of people I know and how they behave and feel after ANY bad experience...unless it made them sick!

thankful? do you really know what being thankful actually is?

the worst part about reading your speel is that people would hold it against their children that they loked like their ex...

    they need HELP

Ugg is more like the best response I have to your participating on this thread with any info ~

(Sorry to hear J.C.'s wife is sick though.)

Other than that ~ take a hike with that negative teaching, would you?

Friend finder, as far as I know, isn't a propaganda forum...and not necessarily a friendly forum either.

    Geez

  8. The earthquakes are caused by built up pressure in the lower core of the earths' surface ~ the earth plates grate when pressure needs to be released...meaning they slip back and forth in order to do so.

Someone else can explain it better ~ how out plates shift.

    Resulting is an earthquake.

They are common...some are detrimental to areas above these 'fault lines'...but they aren't caused by a devil and a pitchfork, for sure.

Loss of life is always hard to bare...but a fact of life.

    Just my pennies worth.

  9. Early2it ~ you are entitled to your opinions, although I find them gritty and depressing (at times, just like some religions)...but with everything else I've listened to/from everyone else on this board, in some fashion, there might be a grain of truth in your thoughts, as well...I'll keep listening and see if something doesn't spark some formadable thought. Not saying you haven't in the past, they just get lost in the doom and gloom, but that's alright, look at some religion, you know?

You have nothing to be ashamed/afraid of anyway...spiritually...no one has all the answers so it's like a catwalk.

    (where are they really going?)

Depends on if your view of the human race is negative or positive, or somewhere in-between. I think.

Spiritually, you'll build on that or look into what needs better imput, on your own, or with ones you trust, or not...it's your own right, no one can tell you what to believe.

The main thing is, on an ex-cult site, no one has to agree...even if it's your intention deliberately to be controversial.

You have had some good points here and there and I detect a sense of humor ~

  10. You can always put your thoughts in DOCTRINAL ~ as the Adm. suggested, I think.

As for some others who cannot resist BUT respond ~ I see we can't resist replying to Mike...unlike the problem with NOT replying to other threads...

If I were Mike, I'd count on your lack of impulse control...to get things going when THIS is not your repetoire, you know?

    Then again..sometimes it's release.

Other times, depending, it's plain mean-spirited.

    What's your poison, I guess?

    ladeda...ladedadadadada

    Same song ~ different thread.

You don't HAVE to remark here, no one is holding a gun to your head...and if you do, don't be surprised if others perceive ill-will, or unfinished business ~ the latter, the exception and of course, a reason to respond.

    Mike,

    Happy New Year!

    Doctrinal ~ huh?

Just a suggestion...it's been slow there anyway. You might liven it up a bit.

    Take Care,

    Ginger

  12. Lavender would be perfect ~

My post was a response to Zix a page back...nothing to do with you!

I happened to sluff off his comment ~ but in case you weren't watching, did you think I'd let it go by 'ignoring' it?

Perhaps it was best I should ~ but he was offensive there and I changed my own mind for myself ~ that I should retort.

    Your deal?

It's not ~ so have a pleasant day!

  13. You know, it wouldn't really be considered a hate crime IF your intention is sensitive and loving ~

And you have the right touch

And if for no other reason, then self-preservation ~

...wouldn't wanna .... off one of those pachyderms by insensitive placement of 'said-plug'!

The back'lash could be horrible ~

~ messy and all that ~

  14. I think there are soul connections between parents & their children...

    Off topic ~ NO

I heard a line written for a character in a Nora Ephron movie called 'Heartburn' that rang a bell ~

"If you want managomy, marry a swan"
