  1. Paw, this Cafe has helped me in ways that I didn't even know I needed help in!!!!!

I agree with so many of the posters on this thread that I can't begin to list them.

Thanks, Paw, for the great work you do and for putting up with us.

I had to vote 'all the above' because that is how I 'feel', yes, that is how I FEEL!!!! How do you like that, WayGB???!!! haha

By the way, Paw, I am tired of being a GS Regular....what are my other options?????

  3. Dear Abi, I just said a little prayer for you. God will come thru 'cause He is a God of love. Any mom who will stay home and watch our wonderful children deserve a special place in heaven.

Thanks again for your help previously.

  4. Dear MJ, I am so glad that your dad taught you about integrity and being proud of who you are and how you were raised. That sometimes keeps us from doing things that we may regret later in life. Dont burn any bridges at this company.

I wish I could help you regarding the school application. I have never heard of such a lengthy one.

I worked for a trucking company (very male dominated) for 18 years. Several of the males treated me like crap. I walked in every day with my head held high. I knew who I was in Christ Jesus, and they werent going to talk me out of it. It was not an easy thing to do, but I had bills to pay and longevity with the company, so I stayed.

I will continue to pray for you and for God to direct your life and give you PEACE. Love, BS

God is not mad at you. He is a loving FATHER. I am so sorry about the losses in your life. Keep your head up high.....and dont lose your trust in God ok???!!

  6. Dovey, do you know the song by George Jones called "Choices"? That is a wonderful song and a wonderful message.

Wow76-78, it has been 25 years since MD. Can you believe it?

I love Eagles, Marshall Tucker Band, Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, Toby Keith, Vince Gill--"When I call your name" is one of my favorites.

So many songs, not enough time.

  7. Chwester, did you ever fellowship in Henderson, KY? I was involved there 1974, went wow, came back for one year, wow again, then came back, stayed 1978-1989. Transferred to SC with my job.

Do you know Gloria, Randy, Rich, Brennan, Doc Green?

  8. I have read all John Grisham's books except the last one. Have seen all the movies from his books also.

Recently I read "Dereliction of Duty" by Buzz Patterson.

I have been reading some war biographies lately about Sgt Major of the Army Wm. Bainbridge. Also Ernest J. King. Both very interesting.

  9. Hope, congratulations on both counts!!! I sponsored a wonderful lady from Louisville, KY, in the sicksth corp all 3 years, Evon Priddy.

Do you remember her? She had a great sense of humor and a true love of God.

def, I was a wow in Cumberland MD 1977-1978. Where were you a wow that year?

Hard to believe it has been 25 years.

Dovey and Hope, you are right... the best year is the year I left twi....1994.

  11. Dovey, I wish I had the 'right' words to say. I dont. I AM sorry for your losses.

My mother lost her oldest son July 10, 2002. She lost her brother in April 2003 and her mother 9 days later.

A friend of mine lost her son 2 months b4 he was to turn 21. Memorial Day weekend 1998. She is not over it and never will be, but she is much better. She was on anti-depressants for a few years. IMO, she is more like herself since she has gotten off them.

I guess we just have to realize that we will never get over the loss of a loved one. We just have to be strong for ourselves and our families.

There is nothing wrong with quoting scripture to yourself. I grew up in a Christian home. I have always loved God and his son Jesus Christ.

Be strong and of good courage is a verse I like.

Trust in the lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. I say those verses alot in stressful times. I learned them in church and twi.

    Gosh, I hope this helps.

Again, let John know that many people are praying for him. It will help.

  12. Wayfer not, the book is called "Eat Right 4 your Type" by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo. I have been following his plan for almost a year now. I do not need to lose weight. I just wanted to feel better.

My sister is an "A" and she has followed the plan faithfully for over a year. She is in better health than she has been in for a long time.

My sister has a degree in medical technology and she understood all the medical jargon regarding blood, antigens, etc.

I recommend this book to anyone that I hear talking about health issues or who want to lose weight.

"The life of the flesh is in the blood" Remember that? It is true.

Let me know how you do.

I got the book at the library. Then I bought the book called "Cook Right 4 your Type" because it had more recipes, but still had the same basic info regarding why you should eat certain foods and avoid certain foods..

Things will get better, the longer you are away from twi.
