Here is a site to monitor quake activity. You will note that there has been some activity in Northern CA since the 9.0 quake. The Northridge quake back in 1994 came about a week or two after a major quake in China.

His XP upgrade is old. And the impression is that the card is newer. If he installs it after the service pack 2, he has a greater chance of the drivers being there.

Have you not ever gotten one of those presents that consist of cheese wedge, crackers and a sausage roll?

One year I was very bored one evening and read the ingredients. The packaging was more Nutritious than the contents, which was a cheese Product not actual cheese.

I've never tried the slipstream method. It seems like more work than it is worth, like Bob indicated.

You can never go wrong with a gift package containing Imitation Cheese and a Sausage roll.

If the onboard video card works use that and install the Nvidia card after XP is installed.

In fact, install any external devices after you have done the service pack 2 update. (all the latest drivers will be there then and you won't have double work.

You will do a clean install of XP and since it is an upgrade, you will be asked to provide the Win98 disk as proof, so have that handy.
