  1. Ok, I am sure this will not be a popular topic with many here at GS (especially remaining innies). I understand that twi is now no longer beating innies over the head with demands for absolute obedience and allegience to all of their doctrines and rules. From the "Loose the Bands" thread I see that many are just ignoring what twi says and buying homes and cars and attending whatever meetings they want and doing what they please. This seems to be satisfactory to both the rank and file AND WITH THE BODs. Is it any wonder why this is ok with the BODs? It is because as long as you are not confronting the evil and just ignoring it, it DOES NOT HAVE TO GO AWAY! As long as people ignored slavery it continued. As long as people ignored civil rights issues they continued. As long as people ignore evil it can run rampant. The bus situation in the south CHANGED when the bus sytem was BOYCOTTED - not before. TWI will not change until TWI gets boycotted! Real change does not happen by passively going along with a corrupt system. It happens by Godly people standing up and saying enough is enough, we won't take it anymore! Can an innie make a change by staying? Maybe someday, somehow. Can you make a change by leaving? Absolutely! Especially if enough people do it! Just buying a house and not being verbally trashed for doing so, does not make everything better. Being able to stand up and say, "You are wrong TWI, you are not teaching the Word of God in this situation, and I am not going to compromise just because I've been a "Way" person for 20 years", now that will make a difference. And besides, what is the importance of changing TWI? Why not worship God for a change instead of an organization? Jesus Christ did not come to fix the system. He came to give us LIFE. 3. Grasshopper I don't think it was all that but I thank you for your kind words. You are a kind and generous person. And Blanche Dubois and I have always relied on the kindness of strangers! Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  4. I find it hard to believe that twi could possibly be encouraging anyone to read "Christians Should Be Prosperous". That booklet blows their stance on debt completely out of the water. If CSBP is true, then every person in twi who collects a salary or wages of any kind is in debt. See page 19 "You haven't given anything to God until after you have first paid what you owe Him. God says that one-tenth is a debt we owe and it is the most sacred of them all. After you have paid your honest debt to God, then whatever you give is true giving..." Also on page 19 "I am in debt. Should I pay my honest debt first before I start giving my tithe?" "Which is your most honest debt? It is your debt to God. Pay it first and you will find that your other debts will be easier to pay. Nine-tenths with God's blessing will go further than ten-tenths without God's blessing. also on page 10 "Liberal in what? Paying only a portion of your debt to God? You oweHim the tithe." How are they going to reconcile this teaching with the no-debt condition to taking the advanced class? Interesting the next section answers the question about how one can pay a tithe to God and the author answers that you can't but you can give to men. I wonder how that fits in with owe no man anything if we owe the tithe? No logic, no reason, no truth. Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  5. Mr. Thomas, You have brought up the question that delves into the area I just can't seem to stay away from. Debt. We too asked about debt in Sept of 2001. We were given permission to get a mortgage. I didn't understand how my BC could give me permission to sin. That is when I was first told that debt is not sin. I was amazed and suggested that all of twi should hear that statement because that is not what had been taught. We then asked for a definition of debt so we could tell for ourselves what method of buying a house or car or anything else would be considered not debt. We were told debt is anything you owe. We pointed out that we owe God our very lives and we owe the tithe according to CSBP. Then we were told that anything you owe financially is debt and anything you owe spiritually is not debt and is ok. We went home and discussed this new standard to see if we could apply it to the Word and our lives and have it fit adn work. Our son was quick to point out the hole in the logic. "What about way corps sponsership?" he asked. "That is both!". So we were back to square one. We looked in the Bible for ourselves. We looked at every outside biblical resource we could find and they all equate debt with sin. So we applied a point of logic and said, "If sin equals debt then debt must equal sin." By turning it around, we could see God's heart on the subject. Sin is not taking on an obligation. If so marriage is sin. Sin is not fulfilling your obligation. Since sin = debt, then, debt is not taking on an obligation. Taking on an obligation is fine. Debt is not fulfilling your obligation. A lawyer once asked us why our ministry would allow us to rent someone else's house if they were against debt. We explained that rent is payment for the use of someone else's asset. It is ok to pay for the use of something. (That is how our BC had explained it to us). He said, "Then what is wrong with a mortgage? All you are doing is paying someone for the use of their money? What difference does it make to God whether what you use is a house, water, electricity or money?" Oh there is so much more. TWI's level of evil in the financial category is HUGE! This subject makes me so mad at what they have done to God's people! btw the rest of our research is at http://www.waychrist.com/featured_writers/debt.htm Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  6. But of course twi had to qualify "unbeliever" also when so many people pointed out the complete error in teaching that a believer who leaves twi becomes a heathen. Remember the old button in the glass example? So we became "unbelieving believers". Just like household became "functioning household" TWI lives by these concepts that aren't even referred to in the BIble they claim to love and live by. Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  7. Cherished, You know I have to ask, have you heard what this biblical definition of debt is? I wonder because as you know that was the definition we asked for over and over and the question we asked for before leaving. It would be interesting to see if their definition comes even close to the one we came up with and presented to them in Nov of 2001. It can be found at: http://www.waychrist.com/featured_writers/debt.htm I sure hope so because it would bring great freedom and deliverence to twi's enslaved people. Please let me know what you hear. Thanks Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  8. I was e-mailed recently by a dear old friend who had seen my research paper "What is Debt" on the web. (I guess twi is starting to teach on debt again). She mentioned to me that many people are questioning things but are encouraged to not discuss it with each other but instead to write to HQ with any concerns that they have. (Nice trick twi) I e-mailed back and told her that we had left 11/2001. I have heard nothing back. So, Lindy be glad your friend even had the guts to call you. SADLY many innies still hold to the "don't talk to anyone who has left" rule. Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!

  10. "Isn't the Word over the World?" That's the best Lindy, The best! That's Gold, Lindy, Gold! I know where you are at Wayward, it is just not that simple. ALthough the one so far that will work the best is about having scheduled time with someone you are already working with. Then of course when asked, they didn't show up. Once again a person must lie to be able to mentally survive twi. Hopefully someday you and all other trapped twi people can be bold and just say NO to all of twi's religious doctrines and man made rules and regulations. It is my heartfelt prayer. Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  11. I believe NK resident has it right. TWI is now becoming involved with communities bigtime. However I do not believe for a minute that it is for any purpose other than outreach. After all, anyone on staff must have oodles of free time now. There can't possibly be much to do. They can encourage people to commit to school activities because there are no classes running or special events going on. They obviously have changed the old "witness to friends, family and co-workers" to witness to your community. And rather than going door-to-door (which didn't work) they now use group activities for good causes. That way people are already convinced that you have a good heart and are likeminded in wanted to help people. Anyone in twi for any length of time have already tried to sell twi to all their friends, family and co-workers. The community is the only other place with new potential victims. School activities are the easiest to encourage. And the easiest to rescind later on. Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  12. On the infamous night while still in, when I dared to go to the internet, trembling in my boots, and waiting to get zapped by Satan himself, I got much comfort and strength from reading familiar names on that sight. We too have since signed up on it and not had any problems. Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  13. Boy, we have been there too. It is funny that we also thought our leadership had great hearts and loved God. Imagine our surprise when they were confronted with the truths of the Word on subjects and chose the ministry stance over the Word. TWI taught us that if somone loves the Word of God, they will recognize it and be attracted to its light and change. That is the only way I know to recognize meekness and love for God. It was only when twi started changing and rules got relaxed that many people realized that, hey twi had RULES for my life. What is up with that? It contradicts all twi originally taught. If rules subtilly crept in, what else have I been conditioned to accept as ok? I have often said that twi has actually done a great deal to move the Word by becoming so evil. So many people who do love God have left and started their own thing, or they fellowship with others they can be likeminded with. There are websites out there where you can actually get some real Word right on the website without writing for an application to be approved first. There are places that will send you tapes at no obligation whatsoever. There are classes and books you can buy and own for yourself to have and use as your need arises. With what you have been taught, it should be easy to discern what is truth and what is error. Heck, that was on the green card from the foundational class of PFAL! So now, we just continue to do that daily. We prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. And guess what? That is what God tells us to do in His Word. And it is fun again! Just like it was in the beginning when you were learning to discern truth from error and finding out new and exciting truths and promises. Never does the Bible say, "Do not ever let anything into your head that twi did not sanction" And just because twi sanctioned it does not make it true. Like you said about the original sin. Just because they still teach it (even though you say they know it is wrong) doesn't make it the truth. It is wonderful to see someone going through the "eyes of your understanding being enlightened" thing again like we did. When you truly want to see, God will show you. I am excited for your wonderful adventure with God that is ahead for you. Maybe ask leadership for clarificaton on something you are questioning. Maybe like the original sin thing. You will probably see what so many of us did - confusion, cover-up and just plain lies. You will see who holds to twi tradition and who holds to the Word. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you (twi?) more than unto God, judge ye. Life is so much better out here in God's country! ps. One of the first things I did when I started seeing the evil was to read all the church epistles with the idea of twi being the bad guys it talks about. Amazingly enough it ALL fits!HMMMMMMMM Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  14. Thanks for all the great birthday greetings! I am so glad to have been born! A Greasespot birthday greeting! What a special way to start my special day! Ok Honey, you are getting way too good with all those little VW Bugs runnning around! I love ya! Always Have! Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  15. Thank you all! Yes Chatty, my real name is fine with me anytime, It helps me remember who I am! George Strait is more to my folding tastes cause Indebtsayswho sings like him!! And yes, Mstar1 that is the one and the same me! You are now at an advantage for I know not whom thou art! (Maure's poem got me all Shakespeary - my thanks to her for the beautiful words) Please e-mail me and clue me in! Zixar! Thank you too. 16. Ok, in reality it is because I collect napkin rings and cloth napkins. I am a horrible cook and prefer to set the table! My icon is a picture of the book I wrote on how to fold napkins many different decorative ways. (there that was the commercial) Hubby (indebtsayswho) aka my personal manager, posted a link for all you latent napkin folders out there who are dying for a copy! However, a GS poster told em they thought I was the one who put the napkins on the table at GS! I like that explaination even better! I'd be happy to provide the napkins to help wipe up any twi messes that I can! That is why I sign off with "Fold twi, fold!" I could help them fold in many many ways! What a great idea, Kit! http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearc...isbn=1895569524 Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  17. I love the phrase we are all entitled to our own opinion. Why? Why are we entitled to have an opinion of someone or something we know nothing about, have never met or ever intend to meet? Am I entitled to an opinion about your sons or daughters? Do I have the right to shout about how they are liars or idiots? Do I have the right to publically debate on their motives behind actions that I think they took. No, I do not. You gals debate on what CFF named the burgers and why. Yet none of you know whether burgers were served or named or why. How idiotic this all is. (I am commenting on what I have actually read and experienced first hand on this thread.) Some of you ladies give new meaning to the phrase vicious gossip. Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  18. Zixar, I won't be nearly so elequent ( I like your style!)but I'll attempt to answer. What made me think that this was twi 3 4 and 5 all rolled into one is that people who have never been or ever will check our anything else are slamming the very thing they have not checked out and know nothing about. TWI screams there is no truth outside of TWI and seems to me that those that slam any other group without checking it out are saying the same thing! Napkinlady Fold TWI, Fold!
  19. Wow, Here I open this thread to answer what I thought was an honest question and I end up back in a Salem witch-hunt. Obviously, those that asked what the CFF family reunion was like already thought they knew and no accounts of the truth of ones own personal experience would ever convince anyone otherwise. All I know is I was blessed, encouraged and edified (I know you will all yell TWI TWI way brain at me, but actually you would have to argue with the Bible's author cause that is where I got those words, not TWI) by my visit there. I saw fruit of the spirit there (everyone of them), contrary to what I just experienced reading this thread. I thought I must be in the wrong place, this doesn't seem like the GS that helped me leave twi2, in fact I thought I had just hit upon a website for TWI 3,or 4 or 5 all rolled into one! Bye folks.
