  1. Silence of the Lambs Next: "These aren't the droids you're looking for."
  2. DS9 changed a lot from the earlier rather funny and cheerful episodes to the more dark, depressing, emotionally heavy episodes when they discover the Dominion and continue through the war. So my comment that's why I commented on the episode as more likely to be from the second half of the series. Anyway. Because I took too long to post the next quotes... here's one easy to guess episode: "Try this." "What is it?" "Just try it. It's an Earth drink... prune juice." "A warrior's drink." "At least, with a tactical officer on board, they will have a chance to defend themselves well, Captain... it may be a matter of seconds or minutes... but those could be the minutes that change history..."
  3. Those exchanges are from Kira and Odo, Kira and a Ferengi I believe it's Nog, and Kira and a Cardassian, but not one we know as a recurring character. The "That's one" "That's two" and "That's three" quotes: They are messages received. And that's what the Ferengi and Kira are discussing in the other quote posted. Oh, and it's Kira's voice in those messages. Let's see if I can remember the plot... There was a Cardassian wanting to kill Bajorans who killed Cardassians. Kira was one of his targets. And so were some of Kira's resistence cell partners. And that's all I remember for now... :( It's a dark episode so I'm guessing second half of the series, not in the first seasons of it.
  4. Indeed, that's the episode. I thought using the "I am not a merry man!" would've been a bit too obvious, but you figure it out rather quick anyway. :D Your turn, George.
  5. Let's see... "Without your assistance at our last encounter, I never would have survived. I would have taken my own life but for you, Jean-Luc." "We all make mistakes." "Any idea what he's up to?" "He wants to do something nice for me." "I'll alert the crew." "And he never spoke to you about me?" "Not that I can recall." "Not even a hint?" "You must understand, the Captain is a very... Private man." "Private man. I know..."
  6. That's because (if I'm not mistaken) that it IS Voyager, but the Romulan they are speaking of WASN'T in the Delta Quadrant. I may be wrong, but that could be the episode where they found one tiny wormhole and since it couldn't fit the ship they ended up sending communications and contacted a Romulan patrolling some space at the other end of the wormhole. What they didn't realise until later is that the wormhole not only travelled in space but also in time, so the guy they contacted was long dead by the time they left DS9 in pursuit of the maquis' ship.
  7. Correct! :D I like the part where Miles and Julian are in the turbolift and Bashir's grandmother flirts with him... he thinks he's predestined to fulfill a paradox and be his own grandfather. It makes for a really good exchange between O'Brien and Bashir. :) And of course, the moment in the bar where all have seen the TOS version of Klingons and are looking questioningly at Worf waiting for an explanation. :D Your turn, George.
  8. Next quote. I hope you find this one more easy to guess. :) "Be specific, Captain. Which Enterprise? There've been five." "Six." "This was the first Enterprise. Constitution class." "His ship." "James T. Kirk." "The one and only." "Seventeen separate temporal violations. The biggest file on record." "The man was a menace. What was the date of your arrival?" "Don't you know anything about this time period?" "I'm a doctor, not an historian." "In the old days, operations officers wore red, command officers wore gold, and --" "And women wore less." "I think I'm beginning to like history..."
  9. Since no one seems to remember it, I'll give you the name of the episode. The Sound of Her Voice. DS9, as guessed. The Defiant picks a distress signal from a Federation Captain and go to the rescue as they are the closest ship. During the time it takes them to get to the crashing site, they establish communications with the Captain and make turns to talk to her as she has trouble sleeping and wants to know that help is in the way. All the crew has assigned some time to talk to her during the days getting there. They arrived when they know the Captain is in process of dying, but when they arrive to the planet, the body of the Captain shows she died 3 years before. The last quote is O'Brien explaining what may have been the reason they got to talk to her. The second plot of the episode is Quark trying to use Odo and Kira's first month anniversary to his advantage, and Odo letting him get away with it. As Odo put it, he owed Quark for getting Kira and him together so he was paying his debt by looking the other way just that time.
  10. Aw, sorry, George. I seem to prefer the odd episodes... I'll leave two more quotes just in case you or WW want to guess. "Captain Cusak's out of triox. She's beginning to feel the effects of C-O-two poisoning." "Already? I thought she had at least another day's worth of injections." "So did I. But it appears that the last vial of triox was tainted somehow -- probably in the crash." "How long does she have?" "No more than two days." "That's not good. Because we're still three days away." "But this can't be Lisa. This woman's been dead for years." "Three years, two months. All the evidence fits. Her age, rank, the way she died." "But if she died three years ago... how have we... been talking to her?" "It must have something to do with the energy barrier. When her subspace radio signal passed through the metrion radiation in the barrier, the signal was somehow... time-shifted into the future."
  11. One more quote to help you all a bit more... "Let's... change the subject. How about some good news. Tell me there's still something to look forward to when I get home. Tell me people still fall in love and get married and raise families." "They do." "Good. What about you? Are you married?" "No." "Seeing anyone? I hate to pry, but I'd like to think that there's still something positive in the life of a starship captain these days." "I... am seeing someone." "Now we're talking. Tell me about her. What's her name?" "Kasidy Yates."
  12. "It's called an "Irish Wake." It's a way of memorializing a death and celebrating life at the same time." "What are we supposed to do?" "We drink. Sing songs. Laugh. Cry. Talk about the deceased." "It sounds... almost Klingon." "Did you notice how he changed the minute she walked in the room?" "They're in love." "And what's love? Love... is a distraction. And a distracted policeman is... ?" "..." "An opportunity." "--and Commander Gatsby's dead too. I didn't see any other escape pods leave before the ship was destroyed so I may be the only survivor. My escape pod was torn open on impact and the rain is pouring in. I'll take the radio and a survival kit with me, but the environmental suits were damaged in the crash, so I'll have to rough it. This is an L-class world and the atmosphere is barely breathable out there. Repeat: This is a general distress call. I am a citizen of the United Federation of Planets and a Starfleet officer. If you can hear me, please respond. My government will reward you for any assistance you can offer. And most of all, you will be my personal heroes." It is indeed DS9. Let's see if some more quotes help... "I'm having trouble creating real, flesh-and-blood characters. Especially nefarious ones. If you'd let me just watch and listen as you pull off... whatever it is you're going to pull off... it could really help me out. You could give me insight. I could even model my lead villain after you." "Lesson number one: no one involved in an "extralegal" activity wants to think of themselves as nefarious." "Sorry." "I'm a businessman. Now if you're interested in learning about my business... I suppose that could be arranged." "Great." "But nothing you see or hear turns up in print. And none of it gets back to your father. Understand?" "Completely. So -- tell me about the scam. I mean, the plan." "Captain, I want you to decrease the dosage to eight cc's every six hours. We'll have to stretch your supply as long as possible." "What happens when she runs out of the drug?" "Yeah, what happens when the hypo goes dry?" "You'll begin to experience the effects of hypoxia. But before that happens, the triox compound will have strengthened your cardio-pulmonary system, allowing you to better withstand the effects." " "Better withstand the effects." In other words, I'm going to be gasping for air and turning different shades of blue by the time you get here." "I'm... afraid so." "Thanks for brightening my day." "She's... gone." "Who is this? What have you done?" "I have... eaten her." "What?" "I've eaten her! What difference does it make to you? You weren't even listening to her!" "My sincere apologies. I was... caught up in my work." "I'm a patient, aren't I? Doesn't that make me part of your work?" "You're right, you're absolutely right. I don't know what I was thinking. You now have my full attention."
  13. It's time for new quotes and it's so silent here... So I come bringing quotes... hopefully you'll guess it. And most of all, you will be my personal heroes."
  14. Ok, new episode... "When I engaged the impulse engines, I noticed the ship's weight distribution was a little off. So the last time you went to waste extraction... I snuck back to the cargo bay and took a look around." "When did you get so smart?" "I've always been smart, Brother. I've just lacked self-confidence. Of course, I could forget everything I saw." "How much?" "Twenty percent of the profits." "And I suppose you'll want a cut, too?" "As a Starfleet cadet, it's my duty to report any violation of Federation law to my superiors immediately. But then again, I haven't been sworn in yet. I'll take ten percent." "But doesn't this Gabriel Bell human look just like Captain Sisko..." "All humans look alike." What are they doing?" "Maybe their universal translators are broken too."
  15. Sorry about that. I was trying to remember the name of the episode and for some reason I confused those two. For what I gather of ST views on religions... if you have a religious belief and you are part of a pre-warp civilization, your views are wrong and they are as you say equated with all those things. BUT if you have a religious belief and you are part of a post-warp civilization all is well and you're an enlightened being who can have both science and religion without internal conflict or any kind.
  16. Tapestry? I think that's the name of the episode... Picard has to set a civilization to rights after they think he's a god "The Picard" and try to worship him and do sacrifices to him. He ends up showing them that he's human by letting them shut an arrow at him and showing them he's injured and bleeds. It's supposed to be an episode where we learn how important is to follow the Prime Directive.
  17. All I can say is that the quote is from DS9. That's Quark talking to a Cardassian about root beer.
  18. Correct! Between the people getting back to the station after the Cardassian/Dominion occupation (That was Bashir complaining about Weyoun living in his quarters, BTW), Martok and Sirella's conversations, and the Klingon "bachelor party" that was a great chapter. Hysterical just describe it. I can't leave without a last quote from the episode... "Now?" "Not yet." "Now?" "Patience." "..." "Now, doctor."
  19. :D So here I come, with quotes... "Good morning, captain." "You don't know how much I missed hearing you say that." "You don't know how much I hated saying, "Good morning, Dukat." " "Allow me to offer my congratulations to the new Supreme Commander of the Ninth Fleet." "Do you have any idea how much paperwork a supreme commander has to do?" All men are sentimental. They just cover it up with scowls and clenched jaws. There're times when Worf literally gets misty-eyed talking about Klingon rituals." I always knew he was a bit of a packrat. I'd see him collecting little bits of junk from all over the station and taking them back to his quarters to--" "My quarters." "Taking them back to your quarters to study them." "He wasn't very discriminating about what he studied." "You should've seen the stuff I've already thrown out. Shoes, coasters, bits of string, broken bottles, power cells, picture frames, chair legs -- and there's still no end in sight." "My Lady." "General. You've put on weight. And your hair is going gray." "My deterioration is proceeding apace." "I thought you would be in your grave by now." "I shall endeavor to die this year if possible." "I could do without the heat. And I can't say much for the decor either." "Well, it can't be all fun and games. I'm sure there's some kind of ritual we have to go through before the party begins. There is going to be a party isn't there?" "You're asking me? I can barely say my name in Klingon." Too many good quotes, even if they aren't very useful to guess the episode. Sorry.
  20. I know! I know! *waves hand in the air* Can't remember the title, but I know both plots of the episode: 1) A Bajoran guy, I think it was a Vedek, dies in a closed room, when being alone. At the end they find out that it was a clone of himself that killed him. For some reason I'm remembering Bashir making a clone to find out the identity of the killer and looking at the result and seeing that it was the same guy. 2) Keiko O'Brien decides to open a school for the kids on the station, trying to come up with a way of teaching so many and varied children all together. Mind you, she has a lot of trouble setting up the school because of the difference she has with Bajorans, not to mention Quark not being happy with Nog going to school... ^_^ *waits to see if she got it right*
  21. I thought the same. No one seems to like that version. I have to say it was a bit more odd than the original, but I like it all the same.
  22. Let's see... the quotes go like this... "I can see it now. Two hundred people jammed into our quarters... eating, drinking... laughing." "Sounds awful. What if I promise you there'll be absolutely no laughter?" "No, I mean it. You won't see a single smile the entire evening. It'll be the grimmest party you've ever been to. No smiling -- or you won't be invited." "When do you want to have this party?" "Next week. And I was thinking... maybe we should give the evening a theme." Jadzia and Worf. She's trying to plan a party, he is not happy about it. "She was a striking woman, your Mother. Though when I met her, she was very self-conscious about that small scar along the side of her face. She used to try to cover it up with a strand of hair." Dukat, telling Nerys about Meru. "Well done. I can hardly believe that you're the same women I met yesterday. In fact -- you're not. Your old lives have ended. Your pasts have been erased. You have one purpose and one purpose only: to provide comfort and care to the Cardassian officers stationed here. Do that well, and you'll want for nothing. Fail, and you and your family will be sent to a labor camp." The speach the Bajoran women chose to be comfort-ladies had to endure. "Why do you keep doing that?" "What?" "Helping me. First, at the refugee center and now here..." "I don't have many friends." "Well, you have one now." Meru and Nerys. "She's moving up in the world. Your friend must have hidden talents I wasn't aware of. Our beloved Prefect has "invited" her to share his quarters." A Cardassian talking with Nerys about Meru. "Let me get this straight... there's two hundred of us, trapped inside some crumbling, old mission... surrounded by two thousand enemy troops?" "That's right." "And we win?" "No, we lose." "Why on Earth would you want to play a program where we lose?" Julian trying to understand why O'Brien wants to recreate in the holosuite the Alamo battle. "I only hope you won't condemn us all for the boorish behavior of one man." "I only hope you won't condemn us all for the boorish behavior of one man." "How'd you know he was going to say that?" "Let's just say this is not the first performance I've seen of this little melodrama. That woman should consider herself fortunate. She's caught the Prefect's eye. As of now, she's off limits to the rest of us." A Cardassian legate talking with Nerys about Dukat and Meru.
  23. Correct! That's the episode. Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night. Kira goes back in time to know the truth about her mother after Dukat tells her that she was his lover for years before dying.
