  1. So true.

In my pfal class, 12 people were signed up and sat thru session 1.

By session 5, only 9 of us were left....and then, graduated.

Within a few weeks, only 3 of us were attending twig from that

    pfal class.

I used to think that the ones who left were missing out. Now I know the ones who left were the most fortunate.

I should have bolted when -

I was in Mississippi and the branch leader told me I was poison to the branch. Should have said, OK then, I'm doing you a favor and I'm out of here.

Holy Spirit never talks like that. When I was similarly analyzed, Holy Spirit simply confirmed what I knew , "not true." Same for you. Not True. Does not compute.

  3. 1386353608[/url]' post='555974']

neither Copeland nor Myers ever took PFAL and never would have associated with Wierwille. However VPW took their teachings along with Hagen and Kenyon to be part of Power For Abundant Living, plus Ruben Archer Torrey, Bullinger, Smith Wigglesworth, Albert Benjamin Simpson, etc.

Ha. Thanks. A holdover from my thinking that pfal was more important than it actually was in the world, because it was my everything. Thanks. I remember someone who said pfal was immaterial in Christian history. Thanks again.

  4. Glad you (and me and countless others) got out. :)/> It's terrible to still be bound to that place, whether in allegiance or in hatred and unforgiveness.

Some have gotten out and cleaned off the garbage, retaining any godliness and truth they could, and God has been able to give them successful world-changing ministries (I think that K$nneth Co$eland, J@yce M$y$r, and $teve $chultz are among those who at one time took PFAL, and saw the danger signs and obeyed the Lord and left).

I have been reading Steve Hill's stuff, and he shares how he attended a ministry soon after he got born again that turned him off because of their hypocrisy of doing dope in the kitchen after "fellowship." (walks like the twi duck) Steve Hill quit that place and God had him mentored by real (not hypocrite) Christians such as David Wilkerson, Leonard Ravenhill, and the Bill Bright Campus Crusade for Christ people.

And Sid Roth ("It's Supernatural") had a gentleman on his show recently that spent time in "a cult" that quacks like the twi duck. This poor guy was driven into schizophrenia, but the Lord was able to save him after he got out of the cult and went to a nice Christian place with real Christians in leadership.

Of course none of the people who "got out" want to talk about or name that place. It is shameful before the Lord to have been so stupid as to condone and accept the hypocrisy and wrong doctrines.

I am so very thankful for this Greasespot Café (and WayDale and TrashNet), which has provided a place for people to talk about (and shed) the garbage laid on us by twi.

I have read stuff by l<arl l<ahler, !arry Panare!!o, &risten $kedgell, and others, and it appears that once someone leaves they are able to move forward with their life with the Lord, which grinds to a halt to the degree one is shackled by that twi place, either in allegiance or in hatred.

I am reading now, "A century of wisdom..." by Alice Herz-Sommer, who is the oldest Holocaust survivor, and her story is bound up in forgiveness and living in the grace of God in the present. Amazing stuff.

Of course, I also wish I got out sooner, but glad I got out and am able to move forward with the Lord.

  5. And another turkey dish:

    Veal (or Turkey) Piccata

Tender veal scaloppine dredged in flour and sautéed in butter get a boost of brightness from a simple pan sauce made with white wine and a generous squeeze of lemon. This is also a great recipe using Turkey. Just slice the raw breast a little over 1/4 inch thick and pound...everything is the same! Yum

    7-SAV150-138.VealPiccata-750x750.jpg

    INGREDIENTS;

2 lb. veal cutlets (or turkey) also called scaloppine, pounded until ¼" thick (about 12 total)

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

    ½ cup flour

    4 tbsp. unsalted butter

    2 tbsp. olive oil

    ½ cup dry white wine

    1 ¼ cups chicken stock

    1 lemon, thinly sliced

    1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice

    ¼ cup capers, drained

    2 tbsp. chopped parsley

    INSTRUCTIONS;

    1. Season veal (or turkey) with salt and pepper and dredge in flour, shaking off excess. Heat 2 tbsp. butter and oil in a 12" skillet over medium-high heat. Working in batches, add veal, and cook, turning once, until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter, and set aside.

    2. Add wine to skillet, and cook, scraping bottom of pan until reduced by half, about 3 minutes. Add stock and lemon slices, and bring to a boil; cook until reduced by half, about 8 minutes. Add remaining butter, juice, capers, and parsley, and season with salt and pepper. Pour sauce over veal and serve immediately.

    SERVES 4 to 6

  6. From Kenneth Copeland (who I love) this morning 12/2/13:

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any. - Mark 11:25

Few people realize just how closely connected faith and forgiveness are. Jesus taught about that connection in His sermon on mountain-moving faith that's recorded in Mark 11:22-26.

He said, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive."

Jesus backed those two sentences up together on purpose. He wanted us to know that releasing those who have wronged us is fundamental to receiving from God. He wanted to impress on our hearts the fact that we cannot have our prayers answered and hold grudges in our hearts at the same time.

Unforgiveness clogs the faith channel and keeps you powerless against the mountains in your life!

If you've been praying for something and you just can't seem to get an answer, check your heart for unforgiveness. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring any grudge that's hidden there to light. Unclog the channel of faith and you will soon see things you've been praying for come to pass.

  7. Leftover turkey:

    Turkey Hash

    7-ATTK-Turkeyhash-400x225.jpg

    INGREDIENTS;

    4 tbsp. butter

    3 strips bacon, chopped

    1 large onion, chopped

1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped

1 poblano pepper, seeded and chopped

salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

1 lb. red potatoes, cut into 1 ½"–2" cubes (about 4 large)

    1 tbsp. chopped thyme

    3 cloves garlic, chopped

2 cups cooked turkey, shredded into 1"–2" chunks

    ½ cup chicken stock

    ¼ cup cream

    1 tsp. worcestershire

2–3 dashes hot sauce, plus more for serving

    1 tbsp. dry sherry

    4 fried eggs

    INSTRUCTIONS;

    1. Heat 12" cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tbsp. butter and bacon, and cook until browned and crisped, about 5 minutes. Add onion and peppers, and cook till slightly softened, about 12 minutes. Stir in potatoes, thyme, garlic, and turkey, and season with salt and pepper; cook, stirring occasionally, until potatoes begin to brown, about 15 minutes. Whisk together stock, cream, worcestershire, hot sauce and sherry, and pour evenly over hash. Mash lightly and press firmly into skillet; cook until browned on the bottom and hash holds together in a loose cake, about 25–30 minutes. Place a 12" plate over skillet, and invert hash onto plate; set aside.

    2. Melt remaining butter in skillet, scraping up browned bits, and return hash to skillet, uncooked side-down. Cook until browned on bottom and potatoes are tender, about 10 minutes more. Cut into quarters and top each with a fried egg; serve with hot sauce, if desired.

    MAKES 4 SERVINGS

  8. Steve Hill has become a heartthrob for me. When he tells of getting melanoma cancer and almost dying a few years ago, I thought it was cured, but it has been an ongoing battle for him and his family and other loved ones. (There is a "Steve Hill Ministries" facebook page.)

Steve Hill writes about how, when he first got saved (during the 1970's Jesus movement time) he was introduced to a group of spiritual hypocrites who spoke about the Bible in the front room and did dope in the back room. He left that place and joined up with some fine Christians with integrity, such as Leonard Ravenhill and David Wilkerson (Cross and the Switchblade). So glad he had the sense to leave the hypocrite Christians, which sure sounded like a twi group, but of course he didn't name names when talking about his episode. Steve Hill preached the Brownsville Revival (1995-1997) In Pensacola Florida, and other places. He wrote some great books, including his latest, "Avalanche," which warns Christians about being snowed under by false stuff (such as we were in twi).. I love reading his stuff and I can watch some of his stuff on Utube because of captions there.

Please pray for him and his wife and family and friends, and especially for that melanoma to be healed.

    Thanks so much.

  9. Wierwille was, pretty much, a cloud without rain.

    Love,

    Steve

In my opinion, vp really was worse than that, much worse. A cloud without rain doesn't hurt anyone and in fact provides some shade on a hot day; however, the hurt to God's precious little ones that vp initiated, not only personally but also from the doctrine of deadly hypocricy that he bred into the children who had no other view of Jesus Christ than the one he presented. I for one am happy to know vp receives his just reward.

  10. There are some wonderful folks who are holding forth the life of the Lord Jesus. There are wonderful folks with the integrity of holiness which is vital to a true ministry with the Holy Spirit. The Azusa Street Revival (1906-1910) included a prophecy that there would be a revival in 100 years (2010 and following) that would be greater than the Azusa Street Revival and would not be limited to any one place (such as Brownsville, Wales, and Azusa Street) and would continue until the Lord returns. I think we will be part of that.

I don't know why, but this video starts in the middle for me. The whole thing is nice (in my opinion) If this link doesn't come/connect, you can also find this interview with Tommy Welchel, who interviewed and tells the stories of many of the participants of the Azusa Street Revival on Sid Roth (www.sidroth.org) in one of his "It's Supernatural" archives.

In my opinion, the way those kids talked about their experiences at Azusa Street, it sure sounded like us in the late when we were "hot stuff," when we were looking to see God come into the earth for us at every hand. My favorite was watching $el $uncan contort his face like a demon possessed person so we could see what it looked like. After that I was never afraid of a demon again. I knew by experience that Christ in you in $el was bigger, and therefore I was stronger, too.

    <IFRAME height=315 src="//www.youtube.com/embed/VRcxcv7TWBc" frameBorder=0 width=420 allowfullscreen></IFRAME>

Sid Roth's stuff is found on Lightsource, utube, and his own www.sidroth.org website.

I guess all in all, I don't think God is through with us yet. Many people (and their families) were waylaid by the nefarious vp and his twi cult, but God still wills all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (I Timothy 2:4), and He still works all things to His purpose for His people (Romans 8:28). I think the best is yet to come, for those who continue to cast off the filthy rags of the old man and press forward towards our high calling (Ephesians is written to us, the faithful in Christ Jesus).

  11. It was in "the Way: Living in Love" long before that.

    page 177

". . .She talked to me about getting my own life in alignment and harmony with the Bible.

Too bad he ignored her advice about getting his own life in alignment and harmony with the BIbie. How precious that is. Thanks, WordWolf. (I don't have these books any more.)

  12. SPIRITUAL HITCHHIKER

Thanks, Skyrider, for highlighting "spiritual hitchhiker." That helps me put into perspective how the twi place grew and flourished -- I know I came to events and took classes to hear and see family, friends, and other loved ones. Some famous ones and other not so famous, but all so very precious: D0nnie Fug!t, %el and Nanc! Dun*an, #arl Burt0n, B!ian Bli$$, B0 and $xanley Rea!ard, the Ne$$le's, etc. etc. etc. etc. Oh so many wonderful people who made "hearts knit together" and the other plagiarized catch phrases real to me and to others. Some of these folks I can find here at Greasespot Café, on Facebook, and email communications. (So very thankful for this internet business.)

And the concept of spiritual hitchhiker also can be used to show that vp continued to be a spiritual hitchhiker on the backs of the folks who walked with the Holy Spirit and in His loving kindness.

I had one person tell me (spiritually confessed) that he had a leech spirit. (It was very subtle but very creepy, but eventually he got delivered of that after he got out of twi.)

I think the "spiritual hitchhiker" conveys the free will decisions to ride on the back of others' faith, and that the "leech" is the spirit which thrives on such decisions.

Further, the cult mentality of blind obedience to one person or thought further hinders developing one's own relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Thanks, again, Skyrider, for helping me put "leech" and vp together. And this also helps me see the difference between "leech" and "spiritual hitchhiker" and the circulation of the life-blood of the Body of Christ, the giving and receiving flow of the spirit, of ideas and understanding and "stuff," all of which is so vital to the health of the "one new man" of which we are part.

    Many thanks.

  13. Anything that allows your thoughts to be muddled would cause you to NOT be sober. I think it's just like with driving. You're drunk with wine or impaired with drugs. If that's how your mind is....you're not sober and somebody else is gonna grab your kids.

I think you may have misunderstood. What I am speaking of is the stance of being willing to fight -- the mental attitude. The adversary does have people in chains of wickedness. And when I was in my prayer closet this morning I had a warrior mindset, and then later on, from one of the people I was praying for came a "praise report." I know many people are praying on the prayer lists I belong to, but I felt in my spirit that I had helped in this precious persons struggle.

When I looked using google for pictures of "lions fighting" I did not get pictures of lion slaughtering animals, but two lions fighting. There were sea lions fighting and some football team, but no lion slaughtering a deer or other unsuspecting victim. Therefore, it appears to me that a "fight" assumes an equal/formidable opponent.

There may be lions about seeking who they may devour, but we have The Lion of Judah within us, and He is not just hiding under his bed, "watching" the fight, but is a powerful opponent, Who is able to save us to the uttermost. All the portrayals I have seen of Daniel in the Lions den show a man calm, cool, and collected. I have long been working to understand Daniel's mindset, actually, so that I could see the lions' mouth shut when attacks are leveled.

I know that if I don't keep up my homework for the class I am currently taking in Accounting Management, I fail the exam. If I don't do the work I need to do to in my job, I lose the job. When I get lackadaisical with my diet and exercise, I lose vitality. (And as age creeps on, I must retain vigilance in the physical to keep mentally alert and physically strong.) If I don't water the garden, the vegetables die. So many things we need to do in our partnership with the Holy Spirit to enable Him to shut the various lions' mouths who seek to devour us. But when I do my job, then I have more confidence to see the victory. And even though I have lost way too many loved ones to cancer and other diseases, I think I am improving with age in the battle business.

I only thought it was wonderful to see that the watchman's stance must include fighting off the enemy and that it was a fight of equal opponents not a slaughter of a deer or another unsuspecting victim.

  14. "A man's gift makes room for him."

A man's ministry takes on the form of him and of those he attracts and form the ministry together. Maybe vp had a vision from the Holy Spirit of the Holy Spirit help he could bring into the world. I think he did, but I also think he was not willing to pay the price of holiness, which is required to retain the Holy Spirit in one's life.

An example is Billy Graham's ministry (Billy Graham Evanglistic Ministry), and millions of people have been blessed by this ministry. Samaritan's Purse, founded by Billy Graham's son Franklin, has collected and distributed shoebox Christmas presents for millions of children and many other worthy operations of bringing God's kindness to people. Not only Ruth and Billy's children and their families but also the families of the men and women who founded their ministries have helped the Lord bring not only the gospel, but also disaster relief and other physical aid to suffering people. Also Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Joyce Meyer, David Wilkerson (The Cross and the Switchblade) and some other ministries I know of with leaders who lived to serve the Lord. The Way International grew when Holy Spirit was there, but He was driven out by greed and lust and etc. etc. I am sure that twi wasn't the only ministry whose leaders bit the dust.

I think the key in "manifestation calculation" is being willing to keep one's promise to the Lord, to serve Him as He directs.

We will never be able to see where the Lord will take us, only that we need to obey the Lord if we want the blessing of His presence and protection. Moses, Abraham, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego -- none of these people knew where their "ministry" would take them, but their obedience and reverence allowed the Lord to do many mighty things by their hands, giving them the wisdom and strength needed as He did so.

Watchman Nee was imprisoned in China 1952-1972 when he died in prison. But he still has people who love to read what he wrote. I have been receiving for a few years a daily devotional of Watchman Nee's stuff from Christian Fellowship Publishers. And Watchman Nee's "ministry" is not noted by many, but I believe he helped the Lord keep His Word alive and that he has a most precious mansion in heaven.

The big question, in my opinion, is what is the legacy into the world I am leaving. I hope and pray I have helped strengthen the foundation and covering of prayer in the world, so people are more protected from the punches of the wicked one.

  15. I received the attached version of I Peter 5:8-9 (don't know which version it is), but it got me to thinking because the "lion' pictured in the devotional looks to me like a lioness defending her lair, not aggressively attacking or looking for prey.

And the other attached picture is a lion (male) who looks to me like he is on the prowl for prey.

What got me thinking is that I had always thought of a "sober" mind as one that just was calm, cool, and collected, and watching only. However, this devotional got me thinking that perhaps the sober minded watchfulness should include willingness to fight to the death in protecting our precious loved ones who are under our protection. As a mother I have always felt like that. And I know some parents who are still fighting for their children, even though they have grown and "left the nest," yet I know I still feel like I am fighting tooth and nail for them, for their lives.

    I haven't explored verse 9 enough.

    1 Peter 5:8-9:

    The Message:

Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You're not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It's the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith.

    King James Version:

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

    Any thoughts?

  16. I love the daily devotionals, especially the ones that I can use year after year (e.g,. spiral bound, not tear off calendar) because each time they come up, I am (1) reminded of the verse and address and (2) each time it comes up I have grown a little bit since the last time, and signs of deepening my walk with the Lord is always gratifying. Don't think there is a limit to the reminders in my room, in the kitchen, at the phone, in my office/work space, because I always need to be reminded to make my minutes count. One of my favorites is a set of 54 cards, one scripture for each week, from Dalcon Marketing, which has the basics we learned in PFAL: for example, this week, November 18-24, is "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39. What this verse means to me today: I have been focusing on looking for the face of Jesus Christ in the scriptures. And now that I am deaf, I cannot listen to the teachings and music which used to keep me going. But I can still read. and I am so thankful that I know to read the Bible.

  18. This article is by a Messianic Rabbi (Jew who believes Jesus is the Messiah). I subscribe to a number of Jewish websites and "feeds" because Jews have a long history of searching and researching the scriptures and discussing differing views of what scripture means, and this provides a depth of their roots into God's heart, and I thought you might like this.

How precious this is to me. This understanding of Jacob's being kind to his brother (from whom he had taken his birthright and blessing) assuaged the tempest of Esau's anger and saved his own life. I had never seen it this way. Thought you would like it, too.

    Taming the Tiger

    November 13, 2013

"… then you are to say, 'They belong to your servant Jacob. They are a gift sent to my lord Esau, and he is coming behind us.'" — Genesis 32:18The Torah portion for this week, Vayishlach, which means "and he sent," is from Genesis 32:3—36:43, and the Haftorah is from Obadiah 1:1–21.Picture the scene: After decades of hunting his brother, Esau received word that Jacob was about to cross his path. The last time Esau had seen his brother, Esau had vowed to kill Jacob as soon as their father had died.

One can only imagine what Esau was thinking upon hearing this news. And from all appearances, Esau was intent on exacting his revenge as he set out to meet Jacob with an army of 400 men. However, the scene that Esau must have imagined for years never plays out that way. Instead, the brothers' reunion was heartwarming as the two embraced and wept. Instead of slaughtering Jacob and his family, Esau found himself greeting them with open arms. He was eager to meet his niece and nephews and even offered them some of his own men for protection.

What brought about this 180-degree turnaround?

When Jacob realized that he would have to confront his brother, he did three things: He prayed to God; he divided the camp so that if one part of the family was attacked, the other would survive; and he sent Esau gifts. As Esau charged toward Jacob, sword in hand, he kept running into herds. Every herd was led by a servant of Jacob. Upon seeing the animals, Esau would ask to whom they belonged. Jacob's men would reply: "They belong to your servant Jacob. They are a gift sent to my lord Esau …"

Jacob instructed his men to space out the gifts so Esau would encounter them over and over again. We can imagine that the first time, Esau might have thought, "Thanks, but I'm still going to make mince-meat out of him!" The second time, he might have been a bit less dramatic. The third time, a little softer, and so on, until by the time Esau reached Jacob, his heart had melted and the ferocious tiger had become a tame kitten.

The way that Jacob successfully dealt with his adversary serves as a great model for our lives. Often enough, we encounter challenging people in our own lives. We may not have done anything wrong, but for whatever reason, a certain person may seem out to get us – or anyone for that matter. What are we to do?

Jacob teaches us to "kill them with kindness." Jacob acted with humility, calling himself Esau's servant, while bolstering Esau's self-esteem by calling him master and lord. Jacob showered Esau with gifts and honor. It took time, but in the end, Esau was won over and Jacob was spared.

Next time you encounter someone out to get you, remember Jacob's example and shower that person with kindness.

    With prayers for shalom, peace,

    Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein

  19. Thanks so much. :)/>

Holy Spirit, with comfort and wisdom, He brings peace to us as well (so we can fight the adversary, rather than each other) :)/>

Often I think, "Pass the ammunition," and now I am beginning to see that the ammunition with which we are loaded is kindness. Who woulda thought?

  20. Not as His peer, as in equal to (as Lucifer thought) , but made out of the "stuff" of God.

Our bodies and minds and hearts and souls were made after the image of God. We were made in His image, not only spirit, but all of us is in His image -- we love as He loves, we feel as He feels. People do talk to God. That spirit infuses us and gives life to all our flesh and soul is capable of communicating with the Lord in infinite ways other than speaking in tongues. It's the presence of the spirit which gives life to us.

I remember the blind man who was given his sight, and when questioned further by the Pharisees, said, "... and you also would worship Him?" They could not worship the Lord Jesus because the Holy Spirit was not alive in them. That spirit, the comforter, the spirit of truth, guides us into all truth, which is Jesus. He makes known the Lord Jesus to us. I know it's the Holy Spirit if it reveals the Lord Jesus to me, in scripture and in His presence in the earth (the face of Jesus is often shown to me in people who show Him forth in that part of Him they know.

Crisis Escalates for Cyclone Victims in India

    Christian Aid Mission

amie@christianaid.orgCHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (ANS) -- Several ministries in eastern India, assisted by Christian Aid Mission, report staggering needs as they seek to help victims of Cyclone Phailin. The situation has become critical for hundreds of thousands who remain homeless and destitute.

Thousands of coastal homes were seriously damaged or destroyed by Cyclone Phailin in mid-October. Cleanup efforts are underway, but rebuilding will take time and many families have no place to go. (Photo credit: Christian Aid Mission)

Two weeks after the super storm washed away homes and destroyed crops, misery continues for residents of coastal areas in the most severely affected states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Conditions worsened over the weekend when another storm dropped three days of heavy rain on districts still reeling from the devastation of Phailin.

One ministry leader in Andhra Pradesh described the plight of the people as "pitiable" and appealed for an immediate response to the disaster, say ing: "I have received call after call from pastors, missionaries, and evangelists that the rains have been unprecedented [compared to anything we have experienced] the past 30 years. Bridges have been cut off and washed away.

"More than 80 villages in Prakasam district have been marooned and lost communications with the outside world. Rice, soybeans, cotton, corn and a few other crops due to be harvested are ruined. Over 95,000 acres of agricultural produce has been devastated and the farmers who are new believers are crying out for help."

"A g ood number of our missionaries have lost all their belongings in Karimnagar, Nalgonda and Warangal districts. They have no food, clothing, shelter, medical help, cell phones, or transportation. Literally everything has been lost in the floods and severe rains. The government's help is not reaching Christian brothers and sisters because other groups are given priority, having the contacts and the favor of the political lead ers who are from a majority religious community. It is now our responsibility to meet the critical needs of our people who are in VERY DESPERATE NEED OF HELP."

The Category 4 cyclone affected an estimated 20 million people in India. Loss of life was minimal, however, as the government ordered the evacuation of nearly one million residents in anticipation of the storm.

As floodwaters receded, families left inland shelters and returned to find their homes and entire villages wrecked with little to salvage. Recovery efforts and restoration of electricity have been slowed by miles of washed out roads.

Recent torrential rain added insult to injury when structures partially damaged by the cyclone became inundated a second time. Impoverished Christian families living in the Nalgonda district lost their thatch huts and have nowhere to go.

In Odisha, some 12 million people were impacted and 17 out of 30 districts sustained serious damage in the aftermath of Ph ailin. One of our ministry partners has targeted 30 of the hardest hit villages near Gopalpur for emergency relief. Much-needed items include food, medicine, clothing, blankets, plastic sheeting to make temporary shelters, kerosene oil, and matches.

Food packages are being assembled that include five kilograms of rice, one kilogram of lentils, one kilogram of cooking oil, curry powder, and salt packets.

Because of poor sanitation and polluted drinking water, the Odisha ministry leader expressed concern over potential outbreaks of disease. Water purification tablets are also among their most pressing needs.

"Urgently we need resources and emergency materials for the vast number of victims awaiting aid," he said. "The disaster response work by the government and other organizations needs more outside partners to work together to address the severity of this ongoing calamity. We need to unite to restore the living conditions of the people, before conditions become further aggravated."

Local believers who lost everything in the cyclone and latest flood event need our prayers and financial assistance to rebuild their lives. The cost to provide food, water, and other essentials for one family for a week ranges in price from $50 to $100. Christian Aid has already se nt $10,000 to assist ministries in India in their disaster relief efforts, but much more is needed during this critical recovery phase.
