TheSongRemainsTheSame Posted April 12, 2005 18:52 kawote "For those who do not accept by faith what Christ has done for them and do not recognize their sinful nature and need for redemption, the Bible warns that such people will live forever, but will be separated from God in a place of torment that the Bible calls Hell. But for those who commit their lives to the Lord—what a wonderful message! What a wonderful Savior! What a wonderful salvation in Christ the Creator! end oh qawote straight from the AIG Sorry~~~ i have to laugh ~~~ live forever tormented in hell eh!!! Well hell's bells. Just what the devil wants. Do I get a pitch fork, blackish red skin, and one of those pointy tails? I will continue to read. I love to laugh ya know! I would like to go a little further. Been a looong long time since doctrinal days. Ten years for me. And that's a loooooong time within one's life expectancy these dayz. There is no catching up or down, just strings been out of tune and a dusty guitar. If AIG offers hell and torment unless ~~~ well, let me just skip pass all the grace and go for all have come short of the glory of God~~~ to me, that leaves us, or just me, in hell. Seems like a tunnel of a funel into "Believe or Else!" Lourdy have the mercy those who teach such stuff and claim that stuff to be infalible truth. Seems that one must first accept that the Bible is infalible then this becomes The Word Of God. (whoops~~~ have i been mispelling in·fal·li·ble ~~~ soory. i guess i go to hell again) Then after that one's life becomes blessed and all doors are open. Other than that you are going to hell to be tormented for all eternity for a life of, let's say, Methusala years of thinking years on earth. Sounds like~~~ how can those who accept such a doctrine could live with them selfs for eternity in all purity.(notice (.) no (?) Sounds like two hells to me!!! other than that i suppose some of are eternal bound one way or another~~~ what happens to those other that are DESTROYED as if they have never existed~~~ i suppose the secret things belong unto the lord ya know So, now, for those who are the "GOD SAID SEZ" remember those destroyed if ya can~~~ someone here said they could go on and on~~~ so can I anybody else energizer bunny baby

If God created the universe, then who created God? AIG I like that writing. Nice and neat. Bring your mind, if one can, to that point of time where there was no point of time, but yet it was always in God's mind, since God knows all things at once. How far back can one go? I think that's why God does not show face and only hind parts. My question would be ~~~ "How is it that God was,is,will be always God?" To me that question is like staring with unprotected eyes into a total eclipse of the sun. Has anyone ever done that? I have in the days of my youth, and that experience is burned into my eye parts. That is for proof sure. If there was nothing before God~~~ never stare into a total eclipse of the sun...

...I suggested that before they could really teach effectively about the other issues, they needed to get the students’ attention that the Bible was the infallible Word of God, and really could be trusted. ~~~ Main Entry: in·fal·li·ble Pronunciation: (")in-'fa-l&-b&l Function: adjective Etymology: Middle English, from Medieval Latin infallibilis, from Latin in- + Late Latin fallibilis fallible Date: 15th century 1 : incapable of error : UNERRING <an infallible memory> 2 : not liable to mislead, deceive, or disappoint : CERTAIN <an infallible remedy> 3 : incapable of error in defining doctrines touching faith or morals - in·fal·li·bil·i·ty /-"fa-l&-'bi-l&-tE/ noun - in·fal·li·bly /-'fa-l&-blE/ adverb again from AIG and i'ma gonna keep on reading

Makes ya wonder those that went before us. ~~~ So, then, it ALL did not happen at once in a moment all was created and here WE are. ~~~ But in a moment (atomos) in the twinkling of an eye we shall all be changed ~~~ or sum thin(g)k like that ~~~ So, HOPE is or seems to be a choice of some sort of stock this terra firma we live upon. AND no one can deny we live upon this earth that some have song we are only passing through~~~ So what is our, those who are presently here, the conclusion of the matter? Red lights green lights yellow lights blue lights and all the spectrum of light that we can conceive to be an answer. S h i t man Hubble telescope? Can ya imagine to have a telescope shot into the space above this earth because ya want to know something and find billions of galaxy's beyound us~~~ excuse me while I change a fuse, i mean light bulb

~~~The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena . . . Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light [an image of earth taken by Voyager I]. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.~~~ I grabbed that one above somewhere from google cyber space. If our galaxy is close to the center of the universe Main Entry: uni·verse Pronunciation: 'y?-"v&rs Function: noun Etymology: Latin universum, from neuter of universus entire, whole, from uni- + versus turned toward, from past participle of vertere to turn —more at WORTH Date: 1589 1 : the whole body of things and phenomena observed or postulated : COSMOS: as a : a systematic whole held to arise by and persist through the direct intervention of divine power b : the world of human experience c (1) : the entire celestial cosmos (2) : MILKY WAY GALAXY (3) : an aggregate of stars comparable to the Milky Way galaxy 2 : a distinct field or province of thought or reality that forms a closed system or self-inclusive and independent organization 3 : POPULATION 4 4 : a set that contains all elements relevant to a particular discussion or problem 5 : a great number or quantity <a large enough universe of stocks… to choose from —G. B. Clairmont> Pronunciation Key © 2001 by Merriam-Webster, Incorporated Merriam-Webster Privacy Policy and all the above definition of infinite and finate, then exactly where is the center of the universe? If our galaxy is near the center of the universe, are not all other galaxy's? Is our galaxy more near to the center than others? Then all galaxy's have then been near the center of the universe. Makes ya wonder those that went before us. eh???
Explaining the Paranormal
STL, can you still perform levitation? Unless you are being facetious about your experience(s), how would one attempt levitation? There must be a formula, an equation, an excercise, a breathing technique, etc, to perform such an extraordinary gymnastic ability contrary to the law of gravity! How did you do this? How did you venture upwards and then venture downward? I know helium works in a balloon and it takes 17000 mph to launch a space shuttle into space with lots of fuel, but to rise up of owns own accord would put to shame NASA. AND I AM NOT BEING FACETIOUS!!! Believe me!!! How far "up" did you levitate? Was the ceiling the height? David Blaine the Street Magician performed in broad daylight and no ceiling attached levitates about 2 feet from the concrete. Now, STL, if you really have experience such a manuever~~~~ How do or did you do it? I know magicians do not divulge their secrets, but seems to me you are not a magician and for some reason capable of such a paranormal gig. Is it "devil spirits" that are scary? All I can say is that the human race has proved to lift them self into the wild blue yonder and that there are some extraordinary claims without fuel. What fuel do You Use? I am serious!!! -
STL~~~ Believe It Or Not, I have been trying to walk on the water for a long time. I really do attempt this feat. I go to the oceans edge and begin, and my wife as witness, I end up to my waiste in water. I try over and over, and the same result. My wife and I chuckle at my attempts. But I really do try. I think surfers really have the answer to walking on water. This devil spirit stuff, i think, is maya Main Entry: ma·ya Pronunciation: 'm?&, 'mI-& Function: noun Etymology: Sanskrit mAyA Date: 1788 : the sense-world of manifold phenomena held in Vedanta to conceal the unity of absolute being; broadly : ILLUSION poof -
Yeah JerryB, I've been known for that type of thing or thinking. :o--> Throwing in something that seems to be outside the subject at hand. I think it was def 59 that tagged it "streams of consciousness". My buds at work call it "Steve's World" :D--> and then they strike the pose a rocker on stage and sing "Does anybody remember laughter?". My Blushing Bride tells me, "Steven you're saying things only you understand. Can you be a little more specific?" So,I threw in "felix culpa" ~~~ the idea that the Fall of man was fortunate because it brought us good (in some views, knowledge; in others, redemption through Christ), so that our end was better than our beginning In Christian theology the fall is the notion that the original sin of Adam and Eves disobedience of God in the Garden of Eden brought about various changes in the perfectly created world, including illness, strife and death. It is a widely interpreted concept with many implications for other elements of theology. Although the "Fall" is not mentioned by name in the Old Testament, the doctrine is taught in Genesis 3, and foundational to Paul's teaching of the Gospel in Romans 5:12–19 and 1 Corinthians 21–22. Felix Culpa (the fortunate fall)One interpretation of the doctrine of the fall is that it is necessary in order human's might benefit from God's grace. It includes the notion that, had mankind not been given the capacity for evil, our choice through free will to either serve God or not would not have been as meaningful. There is, however, a second interpretation of 'felix culpa.' If Eve had not given the fruit to Adam to eat, none of us would be here to enjoy this wonderful world. ~~~ (Fall (religion) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.) Or if one wishes a kewl view of this subject ~~~Langland, Milton, and the felix culpa. Soohhh, I thought "felix culpa" was a nice throw in re the topic, "The Way's views on life/death before Adam". Now on a "side bar", and since the weekend has, well ended, I'll have a Bud Light and ask if any one is familiar (why is "liar' in familiar?) with what was discovered as a static noise that is evident through all the universe and it was not pigeons. Dig it JB & Peace bacatcha Steven there is more to this universe than seems to be. all i can do is see what is evident to me and also to others. but there are so many others viewing. the line is so long we die before we know what we attempt to understand. author unknown
Beloved Roy, Your words seem of poetic nature~~~ George Herbert (1593-1633) Easter Wings 1Lord, who createdst man in wealth and store, 2 Though foolishly he lost the same, 3 Decaying more and more, 4 Till he became 5 Most poore: 6 With thee 7 O let me rise 8 As larks, harmoniously, 9 And sing this day thy victories: 10Then shall the fall further the flight in me. 11My tender age in sorrow did beginne 12 And still with sicknesses and shame. 13 Thou didst so punish sinne, 14 That I became 15 Most thinne. 16 With thee 17 Let me combine, 18 And feel thy victorie: 19 For, if I imp my wing on thine, 20Affliction shall advance the flight in me. Notes 1] store: ample goods, abundance. 5] The length of the lines decreases to reflect their content, diminished man. 10] Herbert alludes to the paradox of the "fortunate fall" or felix culpa. Only by sinning with Eve, and being cast out of the Garden of Eden into a world of labour, pain, and death, did Adam enable the second Adam, Christ, to redeem man and show a love and forgiveness that otherwise could never have been. 18] feel: "feel this day" in 1633. The two added words disturb the clear metrical scheme (which has six syllables in lines 3, 8, and 13) and are not found in the manuscript of the poem. 19] imp: Herbert suggests that if he adds his feathers to God's wings, he will fly the higher because of God's might. Sometimes feathers were grafted or imped into a falcon's wing to increase the power of its flight. Note that this metaphor suggests that the wing-like stanza on one page represents Herbert's wings, and the wing-stanza on the facing page represents God's. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Online text copyright © 2003, Ian Lancashire for the Department of English, University of Toronto. I can relate to that. If thine eye be single type of thing! And yesterday my daughter was so beautiful in her Prom Gown and her Handsome Date Gent, so well, handsome, in his Tuxcedo, I had some serious tears in mine mind and a few 'pon my cheeks~~~ So many many many generations flowing into and out of this life we presently know. Now, how many times have I heard, "God says"? Well, plenty and definetly not from God! It's always been a person who says "God says". There are many good prudence standards, principles, etc offered in the Bible as well other scriptures from other cultures. To say that "God says" seems to offer the same "blind faith" that should be avoided. I will detail anyone's vehicle once every two weeks for one year if they can prove GOD SAID ANYTHING! Well, not the particular word "anything". :P-->
