Let me through out another question...

If, we meet at someplace to eat...

What are some of the likes/dis-likes?

For me...

Italian food, is it's own food group.

Mexican food is always good.

I like good oriental food.

In general, I am a "meat and potatoes" kind of guy.

If I eat sea food, I turn all sorts of "pretty" colors... Then I might do a scene from the exorcist (guess which one...).

Of course, we could find a grill...

I think it's sometimes funny to see how different people like their grilled foods.

I have seen the range go from a "light sunburn" to "burnt sacrifice".

Rocky is correct, I should have phrased the comment concerning the temperatures better.

As Rocky stated, Patagonia Lake is a very pretty area. It can also be a crowded area. I have been in long lines waiting to enter the park and I have talked to friends who have been turned away because the park was full. Weekdays would be less crowded than weekends. How would weekdays be for everybody?

Two activities that were brought up that I would take a pass on would be getting a tattoo and running 10 K.

The Temps in Southern AZ (Patagonia and Cochise county) and In Northern AZ (Flaggstaff & Grand Canyon area) are not nearly as bad as in the Phoenix and Tucson area.

I just checked...

You can't reserve camp sites at AZ state parks, they are first come, first serve.

I am hoping that more people will ?chime in?. Everybody?s opinion is important. I am hoping for a collective group effort on the where and when...

For the sake of argument let me through out a tentative date of: Saturday 12 July 2003.

I think Patagonia Lake would be fun.

The possible drawbacks ?could be?

1. It is a long ways away for the good folks up in the Phoenix area (I have also heard that people in the Phoenix area like to get away from the Phoenix area).

2. It might be very busy and difficult to get a site (I will check more into this).

Concerning location...

I am by FT Huachuca (Sierra Vista)...

Tucson is about 75 miles and Phoenix is about 200 miles away (you get the idea...).

I don't mind doing "some" traveling...

I guess the questions come down to where and when.

The school year is starting to come to an end. Some of the people here are taking college courses and there weekends are involved in school work. There are also parents here who might be helping there kids with school work or attending the last "events" their kids will be particapating in this year. With this in mind, what do you think of having this get together after the school year?

I am in favor of getting together "someplace" in Tucson.

Let me also suggest,

that the "location" be "children friendly" if some of the parents decide they want to bring their kids. Like a peter piper pizza or park etc., where the kids could be entertained if we end up spending a lot of time talking.

Please continue to make comments or suggestions.

I guess I will throw out a few suggestions...

1. Not the Phoenix area during the summer

(Sorry Rocky and Jen-O)

2. August and September are difficult months for me to get away (because of work).

3. Locations at or near tourist sites could be very challanging during the tourist season.

For a "lunch" get together...

I would like to suggest the Tucson area (for a central location).

If we want to make this thing into a "mini vacation" what do you think of the Flagstaff area?

What about meeting at a State park such as Patogonia lake or Kartchner Caverns?

The idea of camping (ya know with tents and sleeping bags) at Patagonia lake sounds like fun.

Is it just me....

I am starting to get e-mail with viruses about every other day.

I would like to encourage everybody to keep there virus scans updated and on.

I am useing Norton and it is set up to do automatic updates, scan in-coming and out-going e-mails, and IM's.

I understand Macafee has a good virus scan also.

(I haven't recieved an e-mail with a virus from any body here).

At where I work we have Dell computers, servers and routers. We have been useing Dell's stuff for years...

They are down more than they are up...

What can I say...

we got the "best" computers the lowest bidders could provide...

I just got myself a new gateway computer for home in Jan. it's great.

On Friday the 28th of March 2003,

My Mom and I took Puff to the vet for the final time.

Puff, put up a strong fight to stay with my mom, but his failing health overcame him too soon.

Puff was loved and will be missed.

He is buried in the sunlight of the front yard of my Mom's house. Close to the foot of my Mom's bed where Puff slept with her when he wasn't under the covers with her.

Another Update...

To start with, my grandmother had her surgery today (27 Mar)

and everything seemed to go well. The Hospital is doing some more

tests and won't know the results until Monday. Currently, my

grandmother is scheduled to be released from the Hospital tomorrow.

Update...

My grandmother is going to check in at the Hospitol at 9:00 A.M on 27 Mar 03 to get injected with some sort of dye. and the surgury is scheduled to begin at about 11:00 A.M.

I need to make a correction...

My Grandma is not haveivg surgury today.

She does have a doctors appt. today to go over procedures and options.

I just talked to my Mom...

My Grandmother is scheduled for surgery on Monday (17 MAR 03).

My Grandmother went to the doctor's the other day after finding a lump in her breast. My mom took her for a mammogram and ultasond. It came out positive for cancer about the size of a marble. It is a fast growing one, so she will have to be operated on soon. She will probably go the the Regional Center hospital (the old Holy Cross) (In Utah).

My Grandmother will be 81 next month.

Puff update from my mom:

Puff is doing much better; we went for a short walk outside yesterday and he is beginning to eat.
