  1. ... and consider the insult of the way that SUV squashed his head right in front of his wife and sort of in front of his grandbabies - no way would any mobsters would be able to not take their revenge.

It was a 2 for one swap. It's even. The NY guy said "do what you have to do". Phil was not beloved. Mobs dont like wars because money is lost.

The FBI guy said "YES, we're going to win this one!" when he heard phil died because they HAVE a case AND a witness that will testify against Tony. Had phill took tony out, that case would have been tossed out the window, and the FBI guys career wouldn't get advanced.

The guys in the pizza place, could be hit men, or FBI guys watching him, or just chase messing with us.

  2. A lot of people have been seething about the final episode.

I don't really get why they are so upset.

First of all I am very satisfied with the show as a series.

People are saying something like this:

I wanted it to be more tied up, or I wanted a more conclusive ending..

    What wasn't conclusive about it?

Did you want the show to follow tony to the grave? Did tony have to Die or go to jail for it to be a good ending?

To me, it was tied up and conclusive. Tony figured out a way to get rid of phill and get right with NY again, and he AJ finally got back on track, meadow is going good and carmela is all right. Paulie moved up, the therapist moved on. What else is there?

Plus i liked the ending because it leaves the possibility of a movie. There could be more, but there doesn't have to be.

  3. i;ve got a feeling it will be at least a little disappointing.

im taking back my original prediction.

    predictions:

    Tony and family leave.

    Phil dies.

    Paulie is Boss.

    Sill doesn't make it.

and at some point Tony uses his AR-10 (just for the hell of it).

  4. Dr Gene Scott was amazing. I'm not offended at the video, reminds me of a baseball manager going nuts... kind of funny.

I can see how its offensive though.

LMAO at the cigar, hat, glasses and beard...

At LEAST he REALLY did have a PHD.

too bad he's dead, i think his wife teaches now.

Gene Scott puts VPW and LCM to absoulte shame. Combined, they don't even come close to his ability, education, impact and apparently rants on worldwide TV.

  5. Yeah, he got dethroned and lost his crown... but an ego like that doesn't repent. I respectfully disagree that he really has a clue about the damage he caused during his presidency or has any remorse afterwards.... there's been threads about those who have encountered him recently and he thought the problem with the women was that they got upset he wasn't giving them enough attention.... so they burned him...

you have a link to that thread? thanks :>

  6. Todd and I went to the same high school! I wonder about him. I was there when he marched in on a Way Credit Union meeting. Don't know if he recognized me before they tackled him.

    Mark and Avoid. Unbelievable.

    wait... what happened?

  7. His name is Sam Graham. Regardless of whether he is still "in" or not, Sam is absolutely one high quality Marine!

He retired a few years back when he was at the Pentagon. A very admirable man that no one really should have anything to say about other than positives.

Yes he is a fantastic human being, no doubt about that.

  8. roader,

    I got out around 2000-2001

i don't know what they do now, but i remember leutenant col. sam* something was on the STS for a couple years in a row on Vet's Day.

*what was his name? i forget.. I think it was sam something

  9. Why not do the same for our fallen veterans?...

Let's face it guys, without that sacrifice, would we have the freedoms that we do now. Remember, one of the things that was fought for in the American Revolution was the freedom to worship as we please. That includes those at TWI, in case they forgot...

In any case, to all GSCer's, have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day and let's always thank God for our freedom.

TWI is huge into military people. I think you're wrong here. I know veterans day is a big deal.

  10. Leah was a tremendous person. I had a lot of fun hanging out with her at rock of ages and advanced class specials.

very solid person. had no animosity or hate whatsoever. Hope to see her again one day.

  11. they wouldn't allow those who took the old classes to take this new one unless they brought a new person, or had a job in the class,

this didn't work well (obviously) so I believe they overturned that,

LOL. who thought of that idea?

  12. interesting thing i just noticed...

Both sides of this argument seem to be motivated by fear.

    ANIT_GUN_PPL: "IF people HAVE guns"

    1. afraid of careless folks having a gun,

    2. afraid that accidental gunfire will kill/injure ppl etc.

    3. afraid crimials will have advantage over them.

PRO-GUN-ppL: "If People dont have guns"

    1. afraid that criminals WILL have and advantage over them,

    2. Afraid the governemnt will turn against them,

    3. afraid of invasion from another country

I don't really think its a bad thing to be motivated by fear.

  13. wait a second...

Couldn't basinger Just have given that recording to the a judge or her lawyer and handeled it that way?

Wouldn't a Judge see that Baldwin is possibley out of control with his fathering skills and wouldn't the judge do something to check into the situation (supervised visits for 6 months, loss of visitation or whatever they do)?

My question is: Couldn't a favorable result could have been gained by Kim for the kid without it going public?

    PS

If anything I say is BS in anyones opinion... please let me know, i am not offended by that term. I enjoy people who disagree with me it helps me re-think my positions, although I ignore ad hominem arguments as much as possible. Others may feel different and I respect that.

I agree. Had I been in Kim Basinger's shoes, I would have released it as well. Obviously Alec has anger issues which seem hard for him to control. Maybe this will be his wakeup call to not let his anger take over him. Maybe he will get help. Maybe he won't, and maybe another tape can be released to show the public that he truly is a BIG ARSE!!!

Good point. I guess it could turn out to be a positive.

    Eagle...

You're wrong. I just saw Alec Baldwin recently in a movie called "Team America: World Police", so evidently he can still get parts in movies.

He didn't actually portray a character, but just came on as himself, so we'd all know what he was really all about.

At least I THINK that was Alec Baldwin.

Sure did look, act, think and talk like him.

    And it SAID it was.

    Very funny movie

  14. D,

u think this phone call was at the same intensity level as that story?

meh,... i see what your saying, i just don't think that THIS phone call was THAT violoent.. that's where we disagree,, but i get what you're saying, and you're right.

  15. Personally -- I don't even like the licensing aspect, much less the registering.

BTW -- this is NOT a rant -- just thinking out loud, ok?? ;)

Why would the government need to know if I had a gun?

I understand they need to know if I'm a citizen before I vote, but ----

Why would the city require me to have a permit to do major repairs on my own house?

I'm repairing something that needs doing -- why do they need to approve and charge me money for it?

Why does the state require that I have insurance on my car, before I can get tags for my license plate?

Insurance agents are lower than lawyers. Scum of the earth. (I used to be one -- I can say that).

(I've repented, and have been forgiven by the *Adjuster in the Sky*) :biglaugh:

Why do I even NEED a license plate?

I kinda get this aspect -- but not entirely.

Point is -- There's too much government. They're an unwanted *sugar daddy*, without the sugar.

And when it comes to registering guns Garth, I kinda see your point, but then again I don't.

What if someone breaks into my house, and steals (whatever) gun I might have that is registered,

and use it in a crime (like robbing the First National Bank of Wherever, USA),

and jacked a coupla rounds into the ceiling of the bank for emphasis.

Bullets dug out of the ceiling, complete with ballistic tests show that that is MY gun used.

Suddenly, I will be suspect due to the fact that it was my gun used.

And that because I took the time and trouble to register it so all is *cool* with the establishment.

I don't like my life to be dictated to, the way it is these days.

Sadly, it's a way of life now --- but the less there is, the better.

Like I said -- I'm just thinking out loud here. Looking for a pipe dream -- as it were.

(It is still 4/20 isn't it??)

    :spy: :spy: :spy:

    I agree 100%.
