  1. Stephen Spielberg cast Matt Damon as Pvt. Ryan because he wanted a relatively unknown actor with an all-American look to play the part not knowing that Matt Damon would win the Oscar for Best Screenplay in Good Will Hunting. The entire cast was put through a week of intensive boot camp training to prepare (Oliver Stone did the same with the cast of Platoon) them before filming but Spielberg chose to not put Damon through the same treatment so as to build a sense of resentment into the cast members and hope that it would spill over onto the screen. It's amazing but Saving Private Ryan was filmed in 59 days and 24 or them were the opening scene of the Battle of Omaha beach. I'm up.
  2. Edward Burns Giovanni Rivisi Tom Sizemore Vin Diesel Dennis Farina Jeremy Davies Barry Pepper Adam Goldberg Paul Giamatta Ted Danson Matt Damon Nathan Fillion Tom Hanks Alright George, get ready to fall off your chair. I would say WordWolf too, but I don't think he was in this round. This was Saving Private Ryan !

  4. I didn't mean to infer by any means that you guys are old and laying on the couch. Poor choice of words. Perhaps you will fall off your chair when you see this one. I got one more name left, the star's name- if you will to post.
  5. WordWolf you definitely have the group right it's the name of the song that you need to come up with. This is not the Logical Song. And, you are right again with the album being ~Supertramp'~s Breakfast in America. Both of these songs we are discussing are on that album. I've got a few more lines if that helps? Hint* Its a trick title.
  6. You guys may fall off the couch when you see this one.
  7. No, it's not Frampton but I think you have the right group because they did a popular song almost by the name "The Obvious Song" but that's not this song.

  14. I appreciate the concern George but he did ask. Anyway, It's a track from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band but I would think that the song got airplay as it is on one of the most popular Beatles albums. All the songs got a lot of airplay. Here's a song. Could we have kippers for breakfast Mummy dear, mummy dear They got to have 'em in Texas 'Cos everyone's a millionaire
  15. You're asking me if I cheated and looked it up WordWolf? I've only heard the song a thousand times and knew it instantly. So no, I looked it up on the album jacket AFTER my first post because something was telling me that the song title wasn't quite right. I couldn't cheat and then pretend that it wouldn't matter. We've played games here and I'm having fun. I enjoy it. I don't cheat. What's the point? I like to think that a display of honesty is virtuous. What do say we lighten this up and not be so serious? OK. My turn next. Give me a few thanks.
  16. Patrick Swayze I was stuck here in a similar state of mind before you posted WordWolf. Huhmmm, Huhmmm, Demi Moore Demi Moore A Few Good Men Cuba Gooding Jr. Men of Honor
  17. Benefit of Mr. Kite ~Beatles~ Just checked out the album Sgt Pepper. I didn't have the name of the song quite right. It looks as though it is officially titled "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite" If I'm considered a cheater I will understand. I will leave that up to WordWolf.
  18. Does anyone remember the character played by Tim Robbins in Top Gun? When I used IMDB to correctly spell Tom Skerritt's name I thought I was looking at an error because I certainly can't remember him playing in any of those roles. Gene Hackman Crimson Tide Viggo Mortensen
  19. Edward Burns Giovanni Rivisi Tom Sizemore Vin Diesel Dennis Farina Jeremy Davies
  20. I saw the first picture but what I couldn't tell was whether the post had been solved from the friendly banter? Now clearly, I have no idea what this is?
